Encino Foot Spa

One of the most intricate and relaxing massages I have had in ages– I would have paid five times as much for it and the staff here is very sweet!

I came in for the $ 20 for 60 minute body massage. I showed them the voucher and they brought me to the back room where the «masseuse» (I think it was the owner’s cousin/​husband or something) proceeded to pull my hair, give me a jumpy, half ass massage and scratch me. After 30 minutes, the masseuse promptly left without saying a word. I realized that that was it… So I went out and said excuse me, but this was supposed to be 60 minutes (of hell). That’s when the owner proceeded to argue with me for 10 to 15 minutes in front of other customers and say that that’s not what I ordered when it clearly was. They were trying to get me to pay $ 30 and completely deny the voucher, or the fact that it even existed. After several more minutes of this back and forth (with several customers present) they agreed to let me pay $ 15… Then harassed me for tip. If you would like a massage from a person that knows what they’re doing and you like doing business with people with integrity, I would not recommend this establishment

I am giving 2 starts because the masseurs were courteous and the place looks clean, but honestly the quality of the massage was not the best; it seemed like he was just «petting» my body instead of actually doing reflexology. The chairs are comfortable when you are sitting, but once you lay down it is very uncomfortable; the face doesn’t even fit in the hole. I know it is only $ 20, but I’ve been in many other places with the same price and a much better quality. wouldn’t really recommend this place.

Best massage I’ve had in a while — they are super skilled, pleasant people unlike a lot of places that give you dirty looks if you don’t tip them enough (happy angel). Tipping should be at the discretion of the customer. And although I always tip generously I feel less inclined if the massage sucked ! But Encino foot spa was great. Clean, quiet, easy parking and she put me to sleep !

I’ve never been to one of these before.
Driving home from work, I had a debilitating migraine, felt nauseous to the point of gagging, and felt general crumminess all over. Have you ever felt so tense and knotted up that you can HEAR the crunchiness and knottiness in your shoulders? That’s how I felt. And I was sick and flu-​y anyway. I had to pull off the freeway.
I Unilocaled my way to a no frills, no appointment massage place, and found this spot only a couple blocks from the Haskell exit. I was desperate. In I went. Ok, when we’re talking about no frills, we’re talking about NO FRILLS.
The massage was a tad better than one you’d get at a nail salon place. Well, it made me functional again, and definitely helped with my migraine. I no longer wanted to cry or throw up, so that was terrific. It was $ 20 for the hour, another plus.
A very decent way to hold me over until my next «real massage.» ;-). Thank you, Encino Foot Spa, for helping me during my time of need! I really needed the relief!

One of the best foot massages I’ve had in ages-​and I get them nearly once a week. I was skeptical, as they are right on Ventura Blvd and I thought it would be way too noisy-​but somehow they managed to block out the outside noise. Even when the employees were speaking to each other, they did so in a whisper as to not disturb our peace. While I was waiting for my turn, the other customers were snoring away and the massagers still kept diligently working on them. The thing that wade this place unique is that although my therapist did have a basic routine, she definitely pay more attention to some areas and less to others depending on how tight it was. It’s a little out of the way for me-​but I’m pretty sure I’ll be back.

I would give the foot massage a 3 out of 5. But I am giving a 1 out of 5 for service. They made us feel uncomfortable from the moment we walked in. I had called ahead and said we would be 3 people and we ended up being 2. So the lady seemed very upset about that. Ok I could understand her being upset but it happens. After the massage we paid and I hand the lady a tip for both masseuses. Maybe I’m wrong but I thought a tip typically reflects the quality of the service. The lady was SHOCKED that we did not tip MINIMUM $ 5 tip for each (each massage was $ 20 so a 25% tip??). Had the massage itself been $ 25 I would have gladly paid it. I may have even paid an extra $ 5 if it said somewhere that it’s the recommended tip. But the way she reacted in front of everyone in the waiting room was completely unprofessional and unexpected (and embarrassing). Ive never had someone demand a certain tip. If you want someone to pay a certain price then raise the price of the massage instead of setting a low price for the massage and then «requiring» a specific tip amount. Definitely not going back.

Great price for an effective massage. They put all their energy into the massage. They spend a lot of time on the feet and on any trouble spots. I always finish so relaxed.

I’ve been going to foot spas for years, and Encino Foot Spa is my preferred spot in the valley. While nothing compares to the foot spas in Alhambra, the therapists here have a great technique for the feet. They are totally professional, the space is clean and relaxing, and I can make my appointments with little notice.
I was here almost daily toward the end of my pregnancy, and they made sure I had the most experienced therapist (unfortunately, I forget his name…).
For a foot spa in the Valley, they get my five stars.

Love this place… Sweet, lovely people who know exactly what they are doing and don’t charge you an arm and a leg to massage your arm or your leg! … Easily the best bang for the buck you’ll find in this area!

Great relaxing massage for the money. I’ve been coming here for the past couple of years and usually sunny takes care of me and she’s amazing, I don’t need to instruct her what I want as her pressure is just perfect. I have also had a massage from some of their other employees and they all have been good.
If you’re looking for a top notch customised massage then this place is not for you, but if you’re looking to relax for a mere $ 20/​hour with nice people that don’t rush through it, and do it with a smile then give them a try.
Only reason for deducting a star is the fact that the facility is a little run down.

The best in town. I have been to a few and no comparison. Even if I must go out of my way, I will continue to be a repeat customer.

OK, this place is called Lavender massage now. I went today with my friend. No one understands English here. The lady who massaged was just going through the motions. It wasn’t deep enough or any part of good. I wanted to try it since i have never been here, but tried a few places in Encino
This place was run down too. Ceiling had missing tiles, music and water fall kept going off. I will stick to the Otsego massage that just opened or make the drive to Chatsworth, to the best foot spa ever No 1 foot spa, see Danny or Helen if you like it deep. This place was horrible, but my friend said her girl was decent.

I usually get the mature, thin, gentleman. He is amazing! I always know just what to expect with him (which is big for me), intuitive hands, good even firm pressure from top to bottom. This place is and has been my go to reflexology foot spa for the last 3-​years.

Service — Exceptional, however there is a language barrier
What I get — 1-​hour combo (30 mins. on the table and 30 mins. of reflexology)
Cleanliness — Very clean
Atmosphere — Traditional foot spa, small room with 8-​reclining massage chairs

This is total steal for a quick or long massage. The prices are unreal. They do take credit cards, but bring cash. They like cash better.
I’ve been here numerous times and have had two different people. The man and one of the ladies.
Both of them are great. I do prefer the man though, he seems to really know what he was doing.
The foot massage was so fantastic. I work on my feet from 5 – 10 hours a day, so this is such an important thing for me.
Okay I’ve been to expensive places and other cheap places, but I keep coming back here. They don’t speak English that well, but they seem pretty friendly and happy to rub down your feet and body.
The body massage was decent, but I really love the foot massage. It’s so fantastic. You get a foot bath and I absolutely love that they give you a blanket and will cover your eyes with a towel. It’s little touches.
This place is also very very clean. They do change out the towels after every person and clean down the chairs. The chairs are nice and big as well as comfortable.
Overall if you are looking for a good cheap place to get your feet rubbed, come here for a great deal in the valley.

First time customer here! Lily was the one who gave me a 20min body massage and 40min foot massage. She did a really great job and I came in here because I have plantar fasciitis. My mother got Sunny and he did an amazing job for my mom. Her back was in a lots of pain and in the past she had broken it. She said Sunny was a «magician.» Its a great deal for 20.00 plus a 5.00 tip :)

What can I say, its a great deal at $ 20 bucks for 1 hour massage. Whole Body. Its very relaxing.
The place is not much décor, the furniture is ok. but I like the young girl working there, shes nice and gives a good rub.

This place is a no frills place for a good foot massage. Do not expect Burke Williams treatment, but do expect a good foot massage for $ 20 ($ 25 with tip).
The layout — You walk in (please be quiet) and are taken behind the room divider to where there are 5 large massage chairs, there is a bathroom and a small private room as well. You are in a room with other people, so you may hear snoring and the people who walk in.
The process — they soak your feet for the first 15 mins while they massage your head, neck, shoulders, arms and hands. Then they lay your chair down and massage your feet and calfs for 30 mins. They then have you roll over in to a standard massage position and they do your back for the last 15 mins. They give you water, you pay, you leave!
Its not a spa. The bad reviews mostly are relating to the want for a spa like atmosphere… this is not the place. Also, if you think they are too light handed, speak up… not everyone likes the same pressure so they are just guessing to start, if you guide them to what you like, you will get what you want!
This place is simply a foot massage place, but at $ 20 for a good foot massage you can have one every week and save your money for a spa day (if thats what you want).

Their chairs are so gigantic and comfortable you’ll fall asleep in minutes. Then you get worked on by a strong Asian man or woman with elbows and arms. Your back, arms, and legs turn into pesto. Simply incredible.
And they’re open till 10? I’m going here on a weekly basis now. Screw it. I’ll go everyday. I love this spot.
