H&A Tailoring

My husband and I arrived on Sunday and dropped off 3 pieces of clothing. The store itself is classy and located inside the Encino Town Center situated next to a beautiful fountain.
Hermine and her daughter were very professional and personable. Although I usually do not feel comfortable trying on & modelling clothes, Hermine made me feel comfortable right away with her professionalism and recommendations. The pricing was very reasonable, and the turnaround time on-​point.
Previously, my husband brought in a pair of pants that required hemming in one day before a business trip. The store was able to accommodate my husband’s same-​day request at a very reasonable price! We are very satisfied customers and have found our «go-​to» tailor!

i cannot say enough great things about HnA! the reviews on this place were on point. i felt so confident n comfortable with the entire staff once i was being fitted. they catered to me n went above n beyond my expectations. bery pleased with the end result. i did not mention it to them but it was the perfect touch for my wedding. i highly recommend them n i most definitely will be a returning customer. thanx for the amazing work n great professionalism. u take pride n care in ur work n it shows. i kno its not easy with me being a big guy but u made me shine.

Update: This location has been great managing a less than ideal situation. I recieved a call later that day requesting the opportunity to make it right and I’m glad I did! The dress is still in tailoring stages but I did recieve a confirmation call the night prior to my new appointment and 2 very attentive seamstresses with a plethora of knowledge helping me. The sincerely apologized for the misunderstaning and even helped to make it right! All in all a great experienc so far. Stay tuned for more to come and picutres!
First post 1/​25-​Drove all the way in from Ventura for 10am appointment. The place is locked and says closed however the hours on the door say they open at 930. I’m little disappointed at this point as I have now wasted an hour of my day… frustrating since I was given this tailor from on a recommendation from my bridal boutique. Disappointing…

This tailor does a great job and her prices are really fair. I am extremely picky and have been happy with hems, taking in the waist on pants, closing pockets, re-​shaping a dress that was too loose in the middle, and shortening blazer sleeves. I now trust her with very high end clothing as well as regular items like jeans. She is not usually too speedy since she works alone, but I’d rather wait a week and pick up perfectly tailored clothing. I imagine if you had a rush job, you could just ask for that. My biggest endorsement: I’ve never had to bring anything back for further adjustment! It gets done right the first time.

I have used H & A tailoring several times for multiples dresses. Today was my fourth time and she hasn’t disappointed. She handles my evening dresses with such precision. I am short so none of the dresses I buy are the perfect length. Also I have a small upper body. She sculpts the dresses to my body and shortens them exactly to the length I ask. Floor length no problem. Always on time. I don’t even try on the dresses when I pick them up anymore. Very dependable. Prices are fair as well. Also her dressing rooms are well light and open so you don’t feel cramped. It makes a huge difference when you aren’t trying on dresses in a broom closet. Can’t thank her enough for her professionalism and caring personality.

My fiancé and I headed here yesterday for her 1pm appointment to have her dress altered for our big day next month. Drove from Venice to Encino, arrived at 1227pm. We walked to the store and it was locked even thought the sign said open and the hours said opened between 930 – 4 on sundays. Pulled on the doors and nothing. We waited until about 120pm and we decided to leave. We came here on the recommendation of our my fiances bridal store. Too bad it didn’t work out because H&A just made Della Curva look bad as well. They should probably should stop recommending folks to H&A Tailoring. Not coming back. Sorry.

My bridesmaid dress arrived a week later than expected leaving me with almost no time for alterations. I called H&A just as they were closing and explained my situation, asking if I could swing by as I live around the corner. She was sweet and said she would still be there to take a look. We discussed the changes needed and she laid out her suggestions (which were much better than mine!).
The work was done expeditiously and affordably, especially given the time crunch. I’ll be bringing all of my alterations to H&A from now on.

Hermina and her daughter were absolutely lovely and accommodating. I have honestly never been happier with a tailor in my life. She tailored a suit and tuxedo for me and they fit better than any clothes I have ever owned. I will only use her in the future!

Highly Recommended for all your tailoring needs! Very Friendly people and made sure I was extremely happy with their work. Will be returning if all my tailoring needs :)

This place is amazing. Great customer service and fantastic work. I went in with a suit that needed heavy alterations and only a week to get it done. Not only did they take their time to give me their full attention but they went out of their way to make sure the suit would be comfortable and fit amazingly. Will return with more suits soon.

Really good place to get your clothes tailored. I recently had my Kershaw Dodger Jersey tailored and they did a wonderful job! My jersey used to fit to big on me from the sleeves and fit a little baggy. It fits perfectly now on me! :)

Was very happy. I needed pants hemmed asap. No one was open on Saturday except for this location! She finished them same day and for a good price. I will be coming back.

Had absolutely no time to drive all the way to my tailor (who is the only person I trust with my expensive clothes) this weekend. Unilocaled alterations and came across this business right by my house. Not only they were open on Saturday, they said everything will be done by Sunday.
Clean, bright, with very comfortable fitting rooms, the place looks very new, right on the Encino Plaza. They did a great job on my pants, fast and neat (could be a little cheaper, but who counts when it’s an emergency, right?). Accept credit cards except AmEx.

H & A Tailoring is phenomenal! Their creative inspiration stems from tailoring and altering fabulous clothing to top notch upholstery work. As a designer, I was in a crunch recently, and H & A Tailoring came to the rescue. They covered an old swivel chair with custom ordered fabric and tailored my drapery selections to perfection. They added the genius touch of trimming the Parisian gold panels in imported French vintage lace. Amazing, and attentive to the last detail.
I highly recommend H & A for all your tailoring and upholstery needs!

Thanks to your reviews I came across such sweet sisters a month ago…
I was so miserable with less than 3 weeks before my wedding. My first dress was ruined and was horrified with the idea of not having the perfect dress for my big day… Once I got my new dress, I was nervous about finding the right tailor. I had 3 appointments and promised myself to meet each one before making a final decision.
Well, the level of knowledge, creativity and professionalism displayed by sisters Anna and Hermine, gave me all the confidence I needed to look no more! I asked if the work was possible to be done in two weeks and they said, «no problem»
I took my A line lace dress to be turned into a mermaid style and adding embroidery details to define its new shape… Most of the work had to be done by hand. They always stayed calm which helped me during my most crazy wedding time! I’m so thankful I found them!
My dress took a bit longer to be finished because one of the sisters got really sick. Yet, they never stopped communicating through text and calls to reassure that I would have my dress on time.
I got married on a Friday, they delivered my dress at 2am at my door step on Friday!!! Unbelieveable, I panic not having my dress until the day of… but it was so worth it … I felt and looked amazing!
All the hard work and long hours deserve nothing but 5 stars!!! They did it…
There were a few things I was not happy about, the back zipper was not right. It bugged me, it was too long? The veil helped to hide it… the tiny hooks were not attached to hold my train.
But hey, my dress still looked so so so beautiful !!!
I loved the dress when I first saw it but after H&A finished their work, I truly fell in love with it!!! I will recommend them as top quality Bridal tailoring with the right time given to finish details of course Hahahaha but they can also work magic like they did with me :)
