We provide ophthalmology and oculoplastic services, ranging from the most complete eye exam for adults and children to the state of the art treatment options for laser vision correction, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye syndrome, diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy among others. We specialize in refractive vision correction, e.g. custom LASIK with Intralase, LASEK, PRK, epiLASIK, CK as well as micro-​incision suturless clear cornea cataract extraction with intraocular lens placement, e.g. Crystalens, ReSTOR, ReZoom, Toric. Based on a thorough evaluation of your eyes, medical and ocular history, we can recommend the best treatment. Our oculoplastic center offers cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid procedures and as well as latest facial rejuvenation treatments, e.g. Botox and dermal fillers Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse.

Dr. Irina Ganelis is loved by her patients for her bedside manners and sincere care for patients who’ve become her friends and family. No matter how many patients we serve at Los Angeles Eye Institute, we always make sure we give you enough time to address all details of your eyes’ health.

Dr. Ganelis graduated from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine (top 3 US medical schools). She trained and worked at the Johns Hopkins Hospital (#1 US hospital) and Wilmer Eye Institute (top 2 US eye institutes). She completed her residency on ophthalmology at Doheny Eye Institute (top 10 US eye centers). She worked at the LAC-​USC eye clinic, one of the nation’s busiest. She published and presented her research on retinal disease, macula, glaucoma, uveitis, as well as wrote on techniques of ocular surgery book.

Dr. Ganelis’ meticulous examination and surgery techniques has won her recognition among her colleagues and her patients.
