Sorry to inform the Unilocal universe that this location has closed. I would leave at that but big Unilocal brother wants my «review» to be longer, hence I shall«keep it up» a bit longer. What was the point I was trying to make …? Oh yeah! I remember! THISLOCATIONNOLONGEREXISTS!

Sound Factor and me go way back. Bought my first NAD stereo receiver from them 30 years ago and never looked back. CD players, speakers, DACs, cassette decks, cables, headphones, you name it – they never sold me a piece of junk. I used to know all their salesmen at all their different locations on a first-name basis. So it was a dark day when their last retail storefront closed a few years back. Where could an audiophile(on a budget) go to find quality gear at a mid-range price anymore? By a stroke of luck, I recently heard through a friend that Murray(the original owner) is still running the biz out of a corporate office in Northridge — and I happened to need some ceiling speakers. Believe me, there is NOONE I would trust enough to buy stereo equipment from over the phone except for Sound Factor. Murray also hooked me up with a top-notch installation company. In fact, they just left and the speakers are indeed excellent. For anyone who still loves recorded music enough not to settle for crappy sound, the Factor is where you wanna start your search.

Had a great experience here when I came in to buy some new B&W rear channel speakers. They offer a good selection of high-end gear and know what they’re talking about(unlike Best Buy). They’re also willing to make deals so before you shop online give them a shot. Definitely will return when I need additional audio stuff.
