I literally refer to Claudio to my friends as «magic healer man» because his gifts are above and beyond being an incredible massage therapist — he’s that and so much more. His combo massages of hot stone, swedish, deep tissue, and some other fun stuff is out of this world. I felt like a huge physical and emotional weight had been lifted. I usually demand that my massage therapist go extremely, extremely hard because I like to feel like I’m having deep work done. But the thing about Claudio is, he works deeply but in a way that never feels painful. He makes his own AMAZING essential oils and candle, is a fount of knowledge on Chinese medicine, homeopathic stuff, and pretty much every ailment I’ve ever asked he knows a little about the cause or solution. He is such a gem!
I used to work as a receptionist in a massage place, and have had a billion massages– but none make me feel as healed, worked out, and aligned as Claudio. He is so well trained and so intuitive, and you can feel the integrity in everything he does. He is also just a kind, wise person, and that really helps to put me at ease, to be able to trust someone else’s energy like that when getting a massage.

Javier is amazing. I came in and could not turn my head because my neck and shoulders were so stiff. I was an immense pain. Javier worked on me for an hour and a half. I left feeling amazing. He took the time to assess what was going on with me and he helped me. I would recommend seeing him for any pain you may have.

LIFE SAVER!
I had a life changing auto accident in ²⁄₂₀₁₁. I was an able bodied, healthy, active, in-​shape RN, who couldn’t be stopped until then. I was now a patient and in a very unfamiliar role… under the care of a neurosurgeon and considered disabled… Disabled? I am in my 30’s. what do you mean disabled??? So the Unilocal search began… I wanted someone close in proximity, but needed someone who could help me rehab into that woman I once was. I had done my Physical therapy, wished away medication, and left my care in the hands of Javier.
That’s when my transformation began… In May of 2011, I came to Synergy for a consultation and a combination massage. I hadn’t slept the night before, I was uncomfortable, and helpless (or so I thought). So I sat down with Javier and gave him my whole story of whoa. The atmosphere was warm, he was professional, and I was completely in tuned with his energy, immediately. He uses a combination of hot stones, essential oils and Thai stretches… he really is a master in his field.
So let’s fast forward to my countless massages with Javier… I am strong again, no longer disabled, and am happy again! It had been a very long, sometimes daunting process… but I will tell you that without Javier’s patience, professionalism, caring and healing hands… I am not sure that I would be able to write this review. I got my life back… Not many people can say that after a traumatic, life changing event. But I can… and the treatment that proved to be most effective and still keeps me healthy, is my massage therapy.

I have never been to a male masseurs before. My wife has been treated by Claudio and HIGHLY recommended him to me and everyone else she knew. The only way she got me to go was to give me a gift certificate. I decided to go and I am so greatful that I have. It was the best massage I got in a very long time. Claudio is my Healer. I have numerous sport’s injuries in different areas of my body. During the massage, he connects with your body and treats the areas which require most attention. Claudio has done more for me in a year time than any other physical therapist or a chiropractor has ever done. I eat better, excersize smarter and live a healthier life. Claudio’s mission is to help people live healthier lives. I can not recommend him enough. He is down to earth, has a wealth of knowledge and is true to his profession. Thank you for all that you do.

Since this place is essentially the back of my usual yoga studio (Black Dog Yoga) I thought — perfect! Plus, I had a flyer for a discount. I wanted this to be great because it would be so convenient!
Alas, it was NOT a good experience. Claudio was smarmy and smug. Fine, I told myself, I can deal with his attitude if the actual massage is good.

His technique could not overcome the smarm! He went on and on why he is such a better masseuse than his brother (for whom the discount was apparently intended, he would not honor it) and gave off a creepy vibe. Blehck!
I explained that I had had neck surgery from a car accident and he kind of rolled his eyes and went on and on about how too many people have surgery. He was very insensitive about my injury. Patronizing!
The set-​up itself is odd — although he steps out while you disrobe, there is a huge clear window that people in the yoga studio can see you through. Although I’m sure «no one is looking» — it’s sure not relaxing.
Although he plays music throughout, you can hear the yoga instructor on the other side, and her music clashing with his.
I also specifically requested non-​snythesizer-​y music, which he nodded, and said «OK» and then he played precisely that. I gave up.
Good thing I had cash on me because it turns out he doesn’t take a credit card.
I regretted it and I miss my $.
We did not get off to a good start — when I walked in and he was sitting at his computer and kept doing whatever it was — and then checking his phone– while I sat there waiting — and i was right on time! I had a bad feeling about it — if only I had listened to my instincts and bolted!

Woohoo is a perfect word to use in a review of a «Claudio experience». Part wizard, part seeker and fully focused on sharing his gifts, Claudio enfolds you with warmth and care. That warmth comes from his heart, from his hands, from his expansive knowledge and from blankets, stones, massage oils and a safe warm environment. Certainly one of the most restorative and magical wellness experiences ever. I write this with respect and affection, even though I would hate to encourage too many people and have to wait longer for an appointment, truly a gift to yourself.

Javier is an amazing healer. I had the combination massage which included some hot stones and took me straight to cloud 9!
at first i was out side in the waiting area filling out a form. Its right next to a yoga studio with many rooms, and a little worried because it was a little too loud.
I entered the room and he closes the door behind to have a 10 min consultation about your aches, problems and pains.
He is very gentle and very intuitive, i think he read me pretty well and did an amazing job. He is a very pleasant individual to have around. I totally forgot about the waiting area and was just in heaven for an hour and 30 mins!
Combination massage is the best for me because I love all the techniques he’s used, specially the hot stones, i cant stress that enough.
I will be coming back, and am recommending Javier to my friends and family: D

I purchased their combo massage offer through Groupon. When i called i spoke to Javier and scheduled an appointment with him. He was very nice and professional, which is always reaffirming in a co-​ed setting. Sometimes i have felt uncomfortable with male massage therapists — actually I had just about given up on them after having a couple bad massages, but Javier is AMAZING!!! He is good about explaining things before he does them and checking in to make sure the pressure is right, etc. The massage combines a variety of techniques like Thai and Reikki, which i really liked, and overall it was one of the best massages I’ve had in a VERY long time. The ambiance in the room is relaxing, however, it’s located inside a yoga studio and isn’t soundproof so you do hear talking from time to time; but between the relaxing music, scented oils (you can choose which one you want), and the massage itself, you don’t really notice! i’ve already gone back since my first visit, and it was just as good as the first time!

After the worst massage I’ve ever had at a Massage Envy on Robertson a couple months ago (first time with a male therapist there and I asked the guy to stop before my time was up, it was horrible and creepy) it took me a long time to purge the traumatic memories from my head and have a massage again… especially with a male therapist… but the glowing reviews here got me to buy a now groupon and SO GLAD I did.

I have had hundreds of massages and he is superior to any of them and is also a very nice, pleasant person and professional.
Will not be disappointed, and the ample free parking is great too.

I have been seeing Claudio regularly for over 5 years. He is unbelievably talented and has helped mitigate my back pain. He is devoted to his clients. He is not concerned with the clock. He listens and takes his time. He is my all time favorite massage therapist!

I go to the yoga studio, Black Dog Yoga, and I noticed they were offering a special deal for massages with Javier. I’ve gotten two combination massages from Javier and I highly recommend him. I’ve been to lots of spas and gotten different types of massages and his combination massage is amazing. He listens to your needs/​concerns, he is thorough and caring. I’ve recommended him to friends and family and now to you. You will not be disappointed.

Claudio worked wonders. He is very intuitive and patient and did an amazing job at quickly figuring out what I needed and got right to the source of the problem. I chose to have the combination massage which was fantastic. We spent a good 15 minutes talking about my needs before we ever got started which I loved. And then he went over time and spent an extra 30 minutes with me. He really is most concerned with getting you the healing you need. The amount of emotional release he got out of me was incredible and I will be going back again and again and again. Thanks Claudio for an amazing healing experience!

I have gone to Korean spas, hotel spas and fancy chains such as Burke Williams and all of them are nice in their own way… However, Claudio’s massage was transformational. He not only worked on a physical level but emotional and mental as well. Claudio knew how to listen and feel my body to know what emotions I was holding on, as well as my eating habits. I came away rejuvinated and more self aware. Amazing experience.

I first went to Claudio two years ago, and have been going to him ever since. I was a collegiate athlete, so I would go to get massages every so often for aches and pains, and have gotten lots of massages of different kinds (swedish, thai, reiki etc). I moved to LA and needed some help with my neck, which acts up… meaning that every so often I wake up and can’t turn my head. Claudio is located in the yoga studio I go to, and everyone looked happy when they left his room so I thought why not?
First off, Claudio knows what he is talking about. He looked at my feet, and said, «you have digestion issues.» «You have problems seeing far away out of your… left eye.» WHAT? Um, yes to both. That was just the first 5 minutes.
He uses very high quality oils that he makes. His candles are also homemade and make your apartment smell like a spa. I would recommend the hot stone treatment. Although if you don’t have the dough, the swedish massage is also amazing. I mean, it’s really all amazing. Be careful driving home because you really feel you are on a cloud and a little… well, high I guess.

Who would ever guess that within a yoga studio would be this amazing godsend in of all places the San Fernando Valley??? For over a week, I had these horrible migraines and in the worst mood ever… I think I was driving everyone insane and thanks to a friends’ suggestion, she told me to go see Claudio and thank god I did!!!
I don’t know how he did it, but he got rid of my week-​long headache, not to mention some other kinks in my lower back, I felt brand spankin new!!! Since then I go see Claudio every few weeks or if I feel another migraine coming on.
When you first go in to see Claudio you enter a Zen-​like massage room. Claudio sits down and talks to you and will customize your treatment for you. He’s like a magician working his magic by mixing his oils… and those hands… wow…those hands work wonders. Ladies, it definitely helps when you have Argentinian hands work on you. (this is not to ward off guys, just an extra bonus for women, wink wink) Latins keep true… full of passion… and Claudio is full of passion in what he does. Not to mention he has a heart of gold. After my first session, he talked to me and told me what I needed to change lifestyle wise and made a few recommendations. He even sent me home with essential oils that he mixed right there. He also has yummy candles and soaps that he’s made himself. (What does this guy not do???). Parking is also super easy, right in a shopping plaza.
Ever since I’ve been going to him I feel so full of energy and always look forward to the warmth he welcomes me to in each session. He is truly a healer in all senses… anyone would be missing out if they don’t try him once.
