Today DH and I were all psyched up to have some Baja Fresh. .. pulled up in the parking lot and I saw signs on the door. .. «What! What! It’s gone! No!» I’m requesting a moment of silence in Baja’s honor. ..

I like this chain so I stopped in for lunch one day. It’s a decent location. Nothing special, nothing bad. Excellent burritos. Great chips and salsa.

Sweet Mother of Texas, the Baja Burrito is good. I always get it and it is always excellent! They give you a little tray of nacho chips with most(every?) meal. I looks so small, yet I have yet to leave unsatisfied. They have a salsa bar with 3 or 4 salsas on tap, ranging from weak to hot. I really don’t know how hot, I am a fan of the green salsa which is on the weaker side. You don’t go to Baja Fresh for the environment. It is pretty much a white-washed open-spaced rectangle with an occasional chile logo on the wall. The food more than makes up for this shortcoming. I try to go to this restaurant at least once a week.. I you are going there for lunch on the weekdays, get there early(between 11:00 — 11:30) or there is going to be a long line.

I had never been here before, but my hubby goes all the time since it’s near his office… he was always bragging and now I know why! Baja Fresh is AWESOME! I love mexican food anyway and this place definitely hit the spot! The menu was humongous and even though I waited in line, I still hadn’t had enough time to figure out what I wanted to eat… I wanted it all! I settled on the taquitos, but more from pressure to decide and the looks of the people behind me wanting to order! They were really great! They come with a very spicy queso dip, guacamole, sour cream and all were wonderful! The salsa bar… OMG…I am always in heaven when I can get my fill of salsa and get it myself. I am also a huge fan of fresh cilantro and totally wasn’t disappointed! We sat inside since it was cold that day, but next time I would love to go and sit on the patio… and listen to traffic pass by. :-) I only wish there were one by our house in Parker… I would be there constantly!
