NO REGARD FOR THE LAW. DON’T TRADE THEM YOUR CAR! They still haven’t transferred the title of my trade in from 3 months ago. I’m still getting unpaid parking tickets from Englewood for no license plates and registration fees from the state for my trade in. They just park it on the street illegally and rack up tickets knowing that they won’t be liable because they never transferred the title like they are required to do. They don’t pay the tickets either. So, late fees and overdue notices just rack up in my mail box. These deadbeats don’t do anything within the law. To be continued…

I had an excellent experience from beginning to end. I purchased a Porsche Cayenne and had it shipped. First I worked with Stephanie Smith to begin the financing and scheduling the test drive. Buying a car sight unseen is a harrowing experience, particularly when the dealership is a thousand miles away. Luckily I have a friend who works 45 minutes away and was able to drive the car on my behalf. After being assured the car’s condition matched my expectations I was ready to complete the paperwork.
I then worked with Jeremy, the sales manager, to narrow down financing and sign. Jeremy first quoted me one rate and later was able to lower my payment by ~$ 35 per month. How often does that happen? From this point I worked with Patrick Shannon, a sales consultant, who facilitated the test drive with my friend. He was either in touch regularly and/​or responded within 30 minutes when I had questions. The car was then shipped and arrived within 4 – 5 days. Lastly I spoke with Ashley regarding confirmation of taxes being paid and title information being sent to a local title office so I can get plates and registration. Again, the entire experience was the best I’ve had purchasing a vehicle and probably matches the best experience I’ve had purchasing any product/​service. Highly recommended!

My husband and I bought an 08 ford explorer on April 6^th it was very clean and the guy we worked with knew his cars after 3 weeks we noticed when shifting into reverse it would shift hard so I took it in and they replaced my motor mounts it was covered in our extended warranty and we had to pay 100 deductible they agreed to pay half the deductible then a day later I realized the problem Hadn’t been fixed and I took it back in they told me my tranny was blown they gave me a loner for the time I was without which was 3 days and covered our warranty deductible cliff was very nice and very attentive to our needs Kevin in the shop was also very nice and helpful through this process they all seemed genuinely apologetic about the fact that our new car had a bad tranny I just picked it up so far so good

Do not buy from this place. Got a used car from this place and has had problems since day one and they will not take responsibility for any problems I will never go back or recommend this place to anyone

Yesterday, I got an email from Max Auto Search reminding me that it had been a year since I bought my truck. That also reminded me that I never got around to writing a review. Which is a shame, because I’m sure a lot of honest people have been swindled over the past twelve months. I don’t know if Unilocal reviews make a difference, but I might as well put my thoughts out there.
A year ago, I was in a pinch because I was about to start a job requiring a high clearance vehicle and I didn’t have one. I had intended to swap cars with my husband, who does have an SUV, but his vehicle broke down when I needed it. So, with only a few days to spare, I walked to all of the car lots in Littleton and found myself at MAS. I knew what I wanted: a 4WD 4-​door Toyota Tacoma. The sales people at MAS were friendly. They said they had a Taco, and they showed me the Carfax report. Then they took me for a test drive, and I decided I liked it.
It turned out they’d taken me for a test drive in the wrong Taco. I never got to see the one that went with that Carfax report, and they said the one I did look at was just as good… but they didn’t show me its Carfax report. They kept stalling and said they’d give it to me later. I am naïve when it comes to buying cars. I’ve only done it once before. So the rest was overwhelming. They put me at a table in the waiting area while they called around town about loans. They said it would be quick, but I was there for a long time.
Finally, they lined something up and sent me back to the financial guy. That part was extremely rushed. He put a huge stack of forms in front of me, and the only form he took time to explain was the one for optional gap insurance. I signed everything without really looking at it because I’m a sucker, just the kind of person MAS loves.
They did not detail my truck before I left. Instead, they said I could bring it back some time. Over the subsequent week, I discovered that the truck shuddered violently whenever I put the brakes on at high speed. I hadn’t felt it during the test drive because I had been on surface streets at low speed. I called them, and they said it wasn’t their problem.
I took it to a shop (which I should have done before buying it), and it turned out there were a bunch of problems including a cracked timing belt and warped rotors. The shop said the rotors were too far gone for machining and needed to be replaced. I took the list to MAS since they have a shop. During that first week, I had also discovered that I accidentally bought a $ 3000 service plan when I signed the original forms. I was annoyed but thought at least it would cover the needed repairs.
MAS had the truck for a couple of days. They looked over everything, contradicted most of what the other shop had said, and gave me a quote. I was surprised, since I thought everything would be covered by the service plan. They said that, no, the service plan was only for parts that break prematurely. I said, «what about the timing belt?» They told me it was normal wear and tear and they wouldn’t replace it. They tried machining the rotors, but it made no difference.
I took my truck to the other shop. They replaced my rotors. They also gave me an oil change, which apparently had not been done in many many years and certainly had not been done by MAS. I didn’t want to pay for the timing belt, though, so I waited on that. I kept calling MAS about the timing belt, which I considered to be a safety risk and thought they should have replaced before selling the truck. They insisted it was not a big deal. Last time I had a timing belt break, it destroyed my engine and stranded me in the middle of nowhere, so I disagreed.
I took my truck back into MAS. They had it for two weeks. During that time, they never called me to let me know what was going on. I called them every day. I would get one of their sweet receptionists, and she would say the mechanic was out and she would take a message. Invariably, the mechanic would not return my call. Sometimes, I would ask for the sales guy instead, and I would get the same response. He’s not here. I’ll take a message and he’ll call you back. Finally, after more than a week, I sent a nasty email to the general manager. Immediately, I got a call from the mechanic saying they hadn’t done anything and needed to talk more about specifics.
I tried to get out of my service contract, which MAS could have easily done, but they absolutely refused. They wanted to keep the money. Then they tried to sell me an additional $ 400 repair plan. I didn’t fall for that. I asked for the Carfax report, and they said it was gone. They never detailed my truck, even though it was there for two weeks. They replaced my timing belt for free after I filed a report with the BBB, then tried to take credit for their noble action. These guys are the worst kind of schysters. Run away! Go anywhere else!

Bumpy. But a good sales team, with a good response. Hope we can reach a deal.

First the good — they have a lot of cars to choose from, and that is about it. The bad, sales staff not very knowledgeable about inventory, the cars are over priced by a few grand all the time, and they do not budge on price. Many of the cars have a lot of wear and tear aka blemishes, dents, cracked parts etc. and they do not adjust price to compensate for damage. They will give you crap prices for trade, and it seems like they feed off of bad credit clients that don’t really have a choice and need a car.

I just bought a car from this company, great service all round, Michael from the sales team made the purchase the best experience for a car purchase I have ever experienced. Quick efficient and exactly as promised.
I also needed some service Kevin and Dan did a great job at the service center quick identification of the problem scheduling and performing the repair.
Excellent in every respect.

Save yourself time and go somewhere they won’t lie to you. I told Morgan all about my situation (credit challenged, my current car, so forth) and she said (quote) «We specialize in helping people like you.» So I went down test drove a vehicle and liked it. Went home and filled out the application online. Only to find out they can’t help me. Then the owner answers me by giving me some BS about how he’s sorry they couldn’t help me yada yada yada. PLEASE DON’T SHOP HERE. Go to a place that will not lie to you.

We went in on January 16^th and test drove a car and had a horrible experience from the start. Our salesman was Mike and he was the most unhappy, miserable, boring salesperson I have ever dealt with. Seriously. McDonald’s workers are happier and talkative than him. The entire test drive he sat in the backseat texting on his phone and gave me directions to turns as I should have been taking them. As soon as my boyfriend and I got out of the car we told each other even though we loved the car he would not be getting our business. I told him and the manager Eric NOT to run my credit because we wanted to go to lunch and discuss it first but I would let them know within an hour either way we decided. About 20 minutes later I called Mike’s cell phone and told him we would not be buying the car in which he had the manager Eric call me off his personal number and ask if we wanted to run the credit to see if we could get the monthly payments lower. First its really tacky in my opinion to call of your personal number, you have office phones for a reason. Second, what do you not understand about the word no? On February 15^th I received a notice of adverse action showing that my credit was run through 3 agencies on February 7^th, literally almost a month after we never went back and told them not to run it. This company is really pushy and no one likes that on top of the stress trying to buy a new car. I would never buy a car from this company.

At first, I was very impressed with how they did things at this dealership. However, things kept going down hill from there. They gave me above Blue Book on my trade in, so I give them credit for that. I got a good 2005 Grand Jeep Cherokee at a good price. Maximum also fixed the wiper switch problem and they gave me another set of keys as part of the deal. Okay, those are the good things in which I would have given them a 5 stars, but then things went down hill.
When I was in with the finance manager, he really tried to push their extended coverage plans. I rarely buy them and I told him no then this guy starts guilt tripping me about how these cars have certain problems. My response was «Are you selling me a piece of junk?» He response was no then I said then why would I need it? He backed off then had an attitude about the whole process in which it ruined the whole experience.
The next thing is about a month after I have the Cherokee I go to get the plates transferred from my old car. The DMV guy said where is your emissions paperwork. I said oh it must be in the vehicle, so the guy let me hold my spot to run out to get it. No! It wasn’t there. I go to the dealership and the guy says you have to do it. Here is a coupon. My response was why didn’t you tell me that when I bought the thing here a month ago? I just waited in line at the DMV to find this out and he couldn’t care less. They already had me, so it was so what, shut up, here is your coupon attitude.
It passed inspections and I have my plates. However, I didn’t give them a five because of the attitude of the Finance Manager on that stupid warranty and their attitude about making me stand in a DMV line to be turned away because they didn’t do the emissions test. The sales team earned the three stars and might be the only reason why I do back for another used car.

From the get go, these guys were phenomenal. I mean it. I was purchasing a vehicle for my wife as a Christmas gift and once they heard that, they were all over it. Quite possibly the best buying experience I’ve ever had. Excellent communication from the start, professionalism that absolutely amazed me. And I hate buying vehicles. Special thanks to Micah, Jeremy, and Cliff and Randy. You guys are awesome. Thank you so much for making this idea a reality. I appreciate you.

My experience at Maximum Auto Search started off great. They had the specific car I was looking for and the price seemed to be somewhat reasonable. I filled out the contact form on their website and was quickly contacted by Adam and we agreed on a time to go on a test drive. There was really no pressure from Adam to buy the car and I spent a couple weeks evaluating other options and even went for another test drive with Adam. After that, I asked to take the car for a private inspection (a must for any used car), which was an easy process with them; all I had to do was sign a form and was able to take it for a couple of hours.
The inspection came back clean (other than needing scheduled service) and I negotiated the price with Cliff (the sales manager) accordingly. They weren’t willing to come down on the price very much, but when I told them I was leaving, they agreed to come up significantly on my trade in (which needed a lot of work).
I had previously lined up my financing, so I thought purchasing the car would be a quick process. Working with their finance people was terrible. It literally took me a half of a day to get the car purchased. They had no clue about how to do outside financing; they said they were able to work directly with Westerra Credit Union, which they then found out they were not able to do. This resulted in me having to drive to a Westerra branch to get the letter of credit. Once I got the letter of credit back to them, they claimed that they didn’t know what to do with it (it had pretty clear instructions for them on how to get the money on the letter). They also claimed that they could beat Westerra’s rate, but after running my credit, they said they were not able to beat it (I should have known better — now I have another credit inquiry).
Once everything was signed, they gave me the key (yes — one key!). In addition to only having one key, the key they gave me was broken and held together with a rubber band. When test driving the car I noticed the rubber band, but I figured it was from their key storage system or something like that. After complaining that I had just purchased a very expensive car (~$ 46,000) which only had one key, and a broken key at that, I was told by Cliff that Max (the owner of Maximum Auto Search) knew the previous owner and was going to get the other key from him. Replacement Mercedes keys are very expensive and if I had know I would have getting ½ of a key, I would had pushed harder on the price or just walked away from the deal before signing.
I’ve now had the car for about 4 weeks and Adam has stopped responding to my inquiries about the key. Up until this week he said they were in the process of getting it and he was going to get it for me. Now he’s unresponsive.

I bought a cute little sports car from here a few months ago. They were great! It was my first time I was able to buy a car without a cosigner! I will definitely be back when I’m ready for my next car.

First, the car that I bought was a 2008 and was advertised as a 2009. Not a big deal except that I now have to have an emission test done… which I paid for and they did not provide me a voucher.
Second, the sales man Mark Larson was about as average used cars sales man as they come. «Yeah the car comes with blue tooth»…“yes”.“yes” basically said what he needed to say to make the sale. He was also more concerned with his cell phone and the hail then we was with ever helping me.
Third, I work in the industry and was basically mocked. I didn’t negotiate the price of the car because I knew what I was buying was worth and paying cash, but I highly suspect that these guys would take advantage of a guest who was financing.
Forth, the car wasn’t detailed and didn’t come with even a 90 day warrant. That’s pretty standard in the used car industry if the car had less the 100k miles. Even if it was not guaranteed, it should have been cleaned up or detailed.
The only reason these maximum gets 2 stars instead of one, is because they did have the car that I wanted and it’s seems to be in good/​reliable condition so far. Basically, there are a ton of other used/​new car dealerships out there that will appreciate your business and respect your money more then maximum.

Tried going back here for a second car and they say they can’t approve me??? Credit score is better and first car almost paid off??? They wanted huge down payment or no deal??? Thought from our first purchase these people cared about me but now it’s clear it’s just about the money that car salesman can walk with.

Very unprofessional environment and employees. They fail to uphold their deals and question the customer when confronted. Never have been spoken to so rudely at a business while discussing terms of a previously negotiated deal. Also threatened with court.
Would not recommend to anyone who’s not trying to get screwed out of money.
The DETAILS:
I had seen a car online that I wanted to take a closer look at, and so I had come to see it with my father and was genuinely greeted before we made it to the front door by dealer AUDREY.
We drove it. Had a transmission issue.
Looked at other cars. Ran into an 07 Jeep Liberty with 90,000 miles that I liked. Drove it and couldn’t find a major issue, just a top brake light that was out (my dad was convinced that the issue was electrical if the bulb was replaced and still didn’t work, I was not). Car was priced over 10,500. Decided to buy and not finance.
Called a friend at Chrysler who deals with pricing their cars to dealers. Tells us it should be around 10,075 even after a 30% mark up by the dealershit. My dad tried negotiating the price down but they wouldn’t budge. We agreed to pay their price but only on the terms that they include a 30 day warranty which they tried to sell to us for 399 and a 3-​day money back guarantee if I had any problems. The contract stated that the deal was subject to an inspection.
We took it home after paying in full. On day 2 I noticed the car shake after braking at high speeds and got many opinions (all of which told me to take the car back).
We came to return the car on day 3 with my sister, in hopes that she could give her two cents about the car we would consider next.
This is when we start dealing with manager RANDY and his shenanigans.
We tell them that we are here to return it. Audrey and Randy go into his office to discuss. (What was there to discuss?). My sister interrupted to ask a question but was rudely turned aside.
My dad walked in after some time because what was there to discuss after all? While my dad had his back turned to AUDREY and RANDY, my sister picked up AUDREY whispering «THIS IS WHY I DIDNT WANT TO WORK WITH THEM». Classy.
After some arguing we were told that they would not take the car back because the brake light worked.
Scratched our heads.
RANDY tried convincing us that they could fix the problem. I let one of the guys take it to the shop. Came back, said it was good to go. I took it for a test run. Drove out of the intersection and noticed the same problem as soon as I got up to speed and hit the brakes. Brought it back… still wanted our money back.
He said lets take another look at it. I personally drove him to the shop to show him the problem. They hoisted the car up and. what do you know… busted axle.
He said he could have it fixed for me in a day. But for WHATEVER the reason was, we just didn’t trust the source.
** Told him we cancelled the credit card payment and he hit us with the ‘see you in court’ bologna
We left at this point and decided it would be best to come back with a written inspection with the date printed.
Came back to show RANDY our new piece of paper we could tell he doubted it was real and took the paper to «give the guy a call.»
10 minutes later he came back and bickered how these repairs didn’t need to be made except for the broken axle and that it was a perfectly safe car even with the broken joint.
Showed him the terms written by them on the contract «deal subject to inspection.»
RANDY then told us to leave the property.
On the drive home in the Jeep with the broken axle we got a call from a different manager saying that if we came back they would take the car back.
Came back. After some apologizing by the manager trying to clean up RANDY’s mess, we returned the car even though they offered to pay for our repairs.
At least somebody came to their senses before it was too late.

You know when you have your heart set on a car? Well I did. And they actually still have it. 2010 Ford F-​150, lifted, black and everything you’d expect from a ford truck. The fine people at this dealership spent about 8 + hours over the past 3 days trying to get me in this truck. I had a budget and had to think family first. Because well… Family always comes first. They tried everything. I called Nic every few hours bugging him to make it work. Talked to two managers and I couldn’t settle with them. Tonight I am going to Parker to buy a truck more in my price range. Yeah it’s a little bitter sweet. If anything I wish I could have bought this truck from these guys. Family owned and HARD WORKERS. I didn’t buy a car from these guys but dammit I’d do it in the future if I wasn’t moving.

I ended up buying my dream truck from these fine people. I’ve had the truck for about 6 months now and couldn’t be happier!

We purchased a Ford Explorer last spring from Maximum Auto Search. The two reasons we chose a vehicle from this dealership were (1) USAA recommended it and (2) their vehicles seemed to be in good condition.
Positives:
— The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
— The facility was clean.
— They had a fairly large selection of vehicles in stock.
Negatives:
— The «negotiation» took forever… and there wasn’t much of a negotiation anyway. Despite our outstanding credit and military affiliation, they were not willing to budge on the price. I’m sure they would still make a profit regardless of the final price.
— The car was not ready when promised. We drove up from Colorado Springs and had to wait for 4 hours until the car was ready the day of the purchase. What a waste of our valuable time!
— Despite their mechanical evaluation of the car, we discovered major issues — one that could have led to a catastrophic accident — soon after purchase.
I’ve had the Explorer for approximately a year now. The car itself needed some serious care and feeding to get it into good condition. Additionally, I recently spent over $ 900 for new tires. Maximum Auto Search claimed they installed new tires on the car when they purchased it from auction, but I’m sure tires don’t wear down after 12,000 miles. The tires may have been «new» to that vehicle, but definitely not brand new. So, after several thousand dollars in repairs, I have a decently running vehicle for the winters here… but I still feel like I was swindled.
One of the other reviewers made the comment that the personnel at the dealership don’t seem to know their cars, and I would agree with that comment.
Like anything else in life, especially when negotiating for a used vehicle, caveat emptor! Definitely, ask for an independent mechanic or someone you trust to check out the car before you purchase from Maximum. I haven’t contacted USAA yet about my experience, but I may still call them to recommend Maximum Auto Search be removed from their auto buyer program.
