Alopaw Mobile Pet Spa

I am so sad that the Alopaw van will not be in service anymore. I was so super excited to not have to drive to the groomer, as the extra few dollars the van cost was more than worth it when compared to the gas used and time wasted driving to the groomer. Rodger did a great job. Maybe there will be a mobile van again one day!!!

I called Rodger to have a friend’s pet groomed and have her nails cut. My friend’s husband was in hospice care at home after battling with cancer. I wasn’t close in distance and wanted to help. As a little treat and to take off one of her todos I asked if I could give her this. She said yes and I came across this company that had excellent reviews. Rodger called back right away. I explained the situation and he nicely accommodated the payment arrangement of calling me when he was done. He came the next day. Rodger called me when he was done and asked if I wanted to speak with my friend. I said yes and he put my friend on his phone. She was very happy and laughing at how pretty Sandy looked and how good she smelled. What a blessing to hear how satisfied she was. What an excellent experience Rodger brought to her. Thank you Rodger. You can’t know what that means to me. I highly highly recommend Rodger and his company.

I have had Rodger come to our house to bathe my kitty, Romeo a few times now. I have been really happy with each visit! Romeo is a Persian with LOTS of fur, so he needs to constantly be brushed and fluffed! I was a little worried at first because I know cats don’t usually like to be bathed, but Rodger was so good with him and Romeo does great! I really appreciated him taking so much time with him too. Recently Romeo was getting matted and I was afraid he might need to be shaved in certain spots, but Rodger was able to get them all out and leave him nice and fluffy! :)
Since we were so happy, I referred my mom’s 3 dogs to Rodger. She said he does a wonderful job and has continued to use him. They have 2 shih tzu’s and a bull dog. Our one shih tzu is starting to get a little older and cannot see as well. So we needed someone who was going to be more gentle and caring with him. Rodger has been great! They get so excited to see him when he pulls up! Thank you for taking such good care of our babies. We really appreciate it!!!

So I’ve now had rodger out to my home for the second time and must review.
1^st visit: dot my 9lb sheltie had just had an amputation in December and I had rodger give her a lion cut at his suggestion. So cute. It allowed her surgical site hair to grow more evenly with the rest of her hair. It was about 2hours and he did a beautiful job!
2^nd visit today: her hair has grown out a bit but it was looking rough so it was time for the even cut. She looks perfect. I cat thank rodger enough for his prompt, courteous and just plain cheap service.
I seriously was over paying at petsmart and they ruined my poor dots little nails and now it terrifies her to have then cut.:(so happy I have Alopaw now because I’ll never take my sheltie to another petsmart petco or anywhere I have to drop her at. Rodger comes to your house and it doesn’t take a lifetime. Much better service for a good price and I get to not drive anywhere And my pup doesn’t have to sit in at petsmart waiting in line…

My wife and I would watch When Roger was next Door cutting our neighbors Dogs hair and we were amazed at the patience and passion he showed for the animals he is working with. Needless to say after that we gave him a try and were more than pleased with the results, all around great guy. Rudy says hi…

What a convenience! We’ve got two large golden retrievers that love to get dirty and wet, spend a lot of time hiking, running through brush and every puddle they find. They also spend a lot of time in the house shedding their thick undercoat. Rodger came in to meet the pups, immediately asked about any medical issues, age-​related problems, and specific cut and trim needs, making sure he was aware of all our concerns. He made us feel comfortable the he would handle our old arthritic girl with genuine care, and was ultimately very patient and caring for her needs and her nerves. With our pups just down at the end of the driveway, there was so much less guilt over having to leave them, rather than making them sit in a kennel all day with anxiety. We were astonished by how much time Rodger spent with both dogs – well over two hours each. They looked and felt so good after getting a complete and thorough brushing, blow-​dried out, and a careful trim. Rodger got to all those spots we are rarely able to get to with regular brushing, gave them a sanitary trim around the rear, got all the mats, cleaned-​up gunk stains around their eyes, and gave them a careful nail trimming. My pups came back to our door with clean breath and great smell. Our raggedy old girl looked years younger afterward too. We get the «they’re so beautiful» comments all the time, but these clean pups literally stopped traffic in the neighborhood on our evening walk with a comment of «I’m so jealous!» from a passerby. Can’t ask for more than that. The van is fully self-​contained, with nothing required from us. He can take credit card payment at the door, and didn’t seem bothered a bit dealing with the size or weight of our large 90lb pup. Overall a great experience and a great value, that was worth every penny.

Rodger did an amazing job grooming the three dogs. If I could I would give him 15 stars, 5 stars for each dog. He spent hours at our house bathing, drying and trimming each dog. Amazing work. I would use him again and recommend him to friends.

Rodger showed up right on time yesterday to groom our boy Milo. (to the minute!) We knew he was going to be on time because he checked in with us 2hrs before the appointment. Our little boy is a bichon– shih tzu mix and is adorable but has a lot of hair! He can also be a squirmy little guy and hard to groom. Everytime we’ve tried to clean his face or trim his nails he’s wiggled out of our arms so we were a bit worried that Milo was going to give Rodger a hard time. But it was apparent that Rodger’s had a lot of experience with dogs and handled him just fine.
Milo looked so handsome when he was done we could really tell Rodger is detail oriented. His hair was cut exactly how we asked for it to be cut. We also really appreciated that Rodger checked in with us during the groom to make sure it was to our liking. When little Milo stepped out of the Alopaw van it was like love at first sight again. It is also important to mention that he was in good spirits for a little guy that hates to be groomed.
Rodger was very professional and did a great job, we will be calling him again when Milo gets shaggy!

What service! I am a local pet sitter and I have to say I really appreciate quality care when it comes to pets since I am such a big animal lover myself. I have an elderly dog (Daisy, 16 years old and partially blind and deaf). She’s a sweetie but does not like being blow dried or shaved of course… and she really needed it. The gentleman that came out… I can’t remember his name, took his time and really went the extra mile. Because my little bundle of joy can often be a complete handful and gets really nervous, she ended up taking longer than expected. I had to leave on an appointment and they ended up coming back to finish another day at my convenience — holy crap, what customer service.
I also live in an apartment complex so I was a little wary about using a mobile groomer. But their truck wasn’t one of those super huge ones and it was easy for them to just park and take care of Daisy –both times :)
She looks great and I am so happy. These guys are A++

I am Sooo happy with Roger and his wife at Alopaw! They gave my cat the cutest Lion cut and he was purring as soon as he walked in the door. It was so nice to spare him the stress of a car ride and waiting in a crate with sounds of other stressed animals the whole time. The price was reasonable too. Please support this excellent business!

Roger and his assistant were AWESOME. My cats look absolutely adorable and as much as they hate grooming, they were pretty ok when they were done with their appointment. Roger, Thanks again and we’ll be using you from now on…

I am so happy to find Rodger! My Puganesse has anxiety and would hate getting groomed. Rodger came to our home and groomed my Gizmo without any problems. I am truly happy to find such a comforting groomer that treats my dog like his own. I highly recommend Alopaw to all my friends and clients!

Rodger does a great job with our Mastiffs, one with a special skin condition that is getting much better now thanks to Rodger’s care and the meds from our vet. She loves him and we appreciate how much time he takes to do things right and she is always happy to see him coming for her next bath! Highly recommend Rodger.

Rodger groomed my dog this week. This was the forth time we have called Alopaw. Wow!!! My dog looks and smells amazing. We can’t stop petting her because her fur is so silky soft. I have tried many different pet spas and Alopaw is the best there is. Rodger has a way with dogs and he does beautiful work. He spends so much time. I love that he dries her completely which has a huge impact on the amount of shedding. My house is fur free for a few weeks after her grooming. This has never happened with other groomers. Trust me Alopaw is as good as it gets.

Rodger groomed our two poodle mixed dogs and they look and smell amazing! The cologne is not overpowering and their haircuts are really cute. It was our puppy’s first groom and we fully trusted him with her. we will be calling him every 6 weeks.

Just had our Golden Doodle groomed by Rodger. It was a big job as she had a number of thick mats and lots of long hair. He took his time and made her look and smell amazing. No more mats… thank God. Rodger is a true artist and takes pride in his work. I also liked that he came to our house with his mobile spa. We would pop in on occasion to see how everything was going. He gave us a nice overview at the end and educated us on how to avoid the mats in the future. We will definitely call him again.
