Great Experience and Fantastic Atmosphere! Emily Lotf is an excellent hairstylist!

All I can say is stephanie is by far the best hairstylist I ever met! She is a wonderful person and she is great on what she do. I am so happy how my hair turned out!!!

After seeing all the fantastic reviews of this place I decided to call.
Since Stephanie is the one with the best reviews I wanted to book my appt with her, so when I called I told the person on the phone that I was a new client, and I would like to book my appt with Stephanie and I didn’t care when it was (I was in no rush to get my haircut). The woman on the phone told me she was very very busy. And she wasn’t available. Because she was too busy, again…
Okay well I had literally just said I do not mind when my appt is… Great. Me being a pushover I said «okay then»! Then the lady asked me if I could come in the next day to get my haircut, I agreed. She asked for my name and I told her Liz, she asked me to spell it I said L-​I-​Z. Then she said okay «Lez»…Literally that’s how she even spelled my name on a card she gave me the next day… told me my appt was with Emily. I later come to find out the woman on the phone was in fact Emily, hmm interesting… coincidence, I think not!!!
As soon as I got there I asked for a ½ inch trim, but that I like my hair to be shaped in a V, and she could add a little layers as well. Immediately she tried to up sell me buy asking if I wanted a deep condition treatment for $ 15, no thanks. Just haircut…
So Emily ended up cutting 3 inches off my hair. She didn’t even care to show me how much she was cutting off like most hairdressers, she just cut away. I ASKED FOR A TRIM, OF ONLY ½ AN INCH. She told me she was new to the salon. Good for you but why did you cut more than I said. Anyways my hair used to come down to my breast but now it comes only a little past my shoulders. Plus she didn’t shape it into a V it’s more like a U.
It’s a good thing that I have had short hair in the past and I like the way I look with it, but as a hairdresser and a client if I tell you I only want a ½ an inch. Only cut a ½ an inch please!!!
On the upside I like the way she cut my hair, I think it looks good. And Emily is a very nice woman. It’s just my problem is with the service I got on the phone, about not booking me with the hairdresser I wanted and Emily not following what I wanted either.

Stephanie has been doing my hair for awhile. I love her work! She does a fabulous job and truly cares about the health of your hair. Her prices are excellent and she finds a way to schedule you in. She is very friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. She makes sure to really listen to you in order to give you what you want and have you leaving looking fabulous and feeling even better!

I recently had the pleasure of having my hair done by Stephanie Lynn Barry at Avanti Salon. What a treat! She listened to what I wanted (complete gray coverage!) and delivered exactly what I wanted. Got my hair done by Alma on a Saturday afternoon. I had an appointment and was seated immediately. There’s nothing worse than waiting and waiting and waiting when you have date night right after. Alma did a great job! Showed her and explained exactly what I wanted and she did just that! It took about 25 minutes for her to cut off all of the dead hair I had, about 1 ½ inches. She also thinned it out because I have very thick hair. I wear my hair straight every day, so once she finished cutting it, she blow dried and flat ironed it. I could not be happier! Thank you Alma! I will definitely be back (:

Second review way overdo. Stephanie is AMAZING. She absolutely nailed exactly what I wanted and made sure not to fry my hair in the process. It sounds cheesy but I almost cried, I’ve been going through a tough two months and Stephanie is such a fun and talented person and I felt so BEAUTIFUL. I drive from Clairemont Mesa (by mission bay) all the way to Escondido just so I can get my hair done by her. So worth the drive and every penny. Thank you thank you thank you!

Called to schedule for a much needed haircut. I tried to book for Loann and Stephanie due to their raving reviews here but they’re both off. Before I get cold feet again, and wait years to get my hair trimmed, I booked with Alma and I’m glad I did! She was very friendly and did an awesome job. I know I was going to be in good hands when she commented how much she loved the length of my hair (that gave me the impression she’s not one of those cut happy hairstylist when you want a couple inches off but they chop off more) definitely will come back to her if I ever need another cut.

Loann is the best hair stylist I have been going to see her for years ! I have gone from long spiral perms to a pixie cut with highlights and a darker color and I have always been a blonde ! So if you want a hair stylist that rocks go see Loann ! She is amazing !

I’m so glad I finally found someone awesome. I’m very picky and always find myself leaving places disappointed. Stephanie however listened and did an awesome job on my hair. It looks and feels great and the rates are very reasonable too! My hair is my favorite thing on me lol and I got so many compliments regarding my hair. I’ll definitely be returning for all my hair services! :)

My daughter and I had our hair done by a magician. aka Stephanie!!! Her work is absolutely amazing from the moment we walked in till the very end everything was top notch care. We both had cut, color, and reconstructor done. Stephanie has the upmost respect for the person in her chair, you are treated more like family. Avanti hair salon has one of the best hair stylist, Stephanie Lynn. I went in for a hair cut, i was so nervous having someone new do my hair, but the reviews convised me otherwise (specially after seeing my sisters hair) She gave me options and solutions to my dry damaged long hair. Other hairs stylist from the past have only criticized how damaged it was and only made me feel embarrassed to have someone ever touch my hair to be get done professionally. Im glad i found Stephanie and im more than happy to have someone help me build my confidence back with my hair.

Drove 45 mins to get to this place but was totally worth every penny I spent! Stephanie did an amazing job & will continue to drive out to Escondido to get my hair taken care of.

Came here for the fist time with Stephanie, she did an AMAZING job, I got a lot of compliments on my hair, her price was reasonable. She listens to what you want and gives you suggestions. Not changing her at all, she is amazing.

Love Stephanie ! She did a great job on fixing my over processed hair and even threw in a little peekaboo purple to jazz it up ! 4 hours never went by so fast ! So conveniently located near my house too and she gets back to you so fast with confirmation of your appt ! Love her to bits !

Lo ann at Avanti is the only person i will ever trust with my hair, i have been going to her for about a year now everytime i go & pick something that i want & show her a picture she will turn my hair exactly like how i wanted. Today i went in with super blonde hair & wanted to go brunette Lo ann took her time and gave me a even more beautiful brown then i showed her. I love her & not only her but this salon all the girls are sweet compliment you, have open conversations its just an overal friendly fun environment i will never go any where else i have had the most great experience with Avanti.
