Can’t say enough about this shop. Brian’s a real stand up guys too. Honest and stands behind his work whole heartedly. I’ve brought my old Camaro, motorhome, and trucks in for repairs for a few years now. In the past couple weeks I’ve had to call him 3 times to repair my husbands work truck and he’s been so readily available. Saturday’s too. Awesome mechanic and excellent service!

Wow– this shop never fails to amaze me. I’ve been watching Brian work on my family’s cars for over 15 years now. No matter the car type of year– Brian has always been so knowledgable, affordable and friendly. Even after buying cars from dealerships and using dealership service centers. Nothing beats having a mechanic who remembers you, is honest about the problem and what it’ll take to fix it. This shop is the best around and I recommend everyone I know here — cause then, like me, you won’t want to go anywhere else.

I’ve know Brian for 15 years I’m glad he finally bought this shop although it’s been down sized professionalism has stayed the same he does as he says and doesn’t pressure you into something that you do not need! He is a honest guy and that’s a rare quality to find these days! Small shop family owned customer based loyalty is rewarded like royalty ! I can not recommend D Macs automotive enough. And for you gear heads Brian is a wiz when it comes to old school hot rods!!!

The mechanic definitely knows what he’s doing, and he’s a nice guy. They are way overpriced when it comes to fixing things. New brakes — over 200 dollars?! I’ll just do them myself.

This is the kind of local mechanic that you call whenever something goes wrong on your car. They know how to fix it. I have a 1972 Dodge Charger, and I dropped it off to get it running right, and when I picked it up, it ran like a dream. They kept me updated with texts through the whole process too.

I have nothing but great things to say about D Mac’s! I have an older Dodge Ram and a new Mustang that have had a lot of issues but D Mac’s fixes them perfectly every time! If you live anywhere close to Escondido and you need anything on your car or truck repaired I would definitely recommend these guys!

I found a coupon in the Pennysaver for this place. I went in and was very very happy. My oil change was done very quickly and professionally. No extra products were pushed on me and they were very nice and professional. The grand total for my oil change was $ 27. This is by far the cheapest oil change I found in Escondido. If you believe in supporting local businesses, go check this place out.

I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality work at an affordable price. Went in for an oil change which was done in a very timely manner. They pointed out a few things that my car needs but they didn’t pressure me to get them done. Very honest shop and I am coming in next week to get new shocks for my car.

We have been a customer of DMac’s for about 15 years. They are honest, fair, reasonable and great to deal with. They are very upfront with everything. We trust them completely, which is a compliment for mechanics! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. While they specialize in Vintage rides, they work on our newer vehicles all the time. We like them so much we even buy our tires from them. Can’t say enough good things about them.

Loved this place. Went there today and got more than an oil change I also bought 2 tires and mr. mac helped me with an oil change and then told me I needed a few more things done with my car but didn’t push any sales on me. I did not feel pressured at all and appreciated his help. If you want to be treated with honesty and respect and have great service done on your car you should go here!

This is not really a review of D-MAC’S as much as it is a review of coupon books they have sold for free oil changes.
I purchased 6 pre-​paid DMAC oil changes through Peeler’s of San Diego. They
honored the first two, but stopped honoring the coupons because they claimed that the vendor started to give the coupon books away. Granted, these coupons are very old (I bought them in 2004), but they are supposed to have no expiration date (says so explicitly)
An honorable business would have honored the coupons that were paid for (the fact that they partnered with Peeler’s of San Diego and had problems is their problem not the customers). I believe this speaks poorly of this business.
For the record, the service for the two oil changes they did was fine. The service was courteous and professional.
