I had a good experience with the office staff and hygienist. Appointments were on time, easy to make. My issues are with Dr Jenny. At my initial exam she told me I need upwards of $ 3,000 in procedures. After thinking on this for a bit, I decided something didn’t feel right. So I spent $ 25 to get a second opinion from a recommended private practice dentist (not covered by insurance). After reviewing my x-​rays and examining my teeth, the 2^nd opinion is that I don’t need any of what was recommended. As much as I liked the hygienist and office staff, I can’t in good conscience make this my regular office. Their advice seems to be centered more on profit than actual need.

Escondido Dental Group is amazing. I had a tooth break and Jenny was able to see me within the hour and get my tooth replaced. I would recommend Jenny to anyone. Their whole staff is extremely professional and friendly. As far as going to the dentist goes they are as good as it gets.

Trying to find good honest dentists nowadays is like pulling teeth! I went to another dentist first which was like a car salesman and trying to charge me way too much. So i went here and im glad i did. The staff is excllent. The dentist was awesomr. They even let me get a free consultation and saved me 300.00 too. I recommend them and happy i finally found a good place

If you are looking for a dental office where they are dishonest IMO this office should be your first choice.
If you are looking for a dental office where they are looking to upsell you with procedures you do not need then IMO this office should be your first choice.
If you are looking for a dental office where they flat out lie to you IMO this would be the perfect office for you.
It would take way too much bandwidth to tell you my opinion of this office and why (everything was confirmed to be a big rip but another dentist) but I think you get the idea this office is one of the worst I have ever encountered.

The staff here is great! I have alot of old silver fillings that I wanted replaced. I went back and fourth through emails with Michelle, she has alot patience and answered every question I had. And, I had ALOT of financial/​insurance questions. She knows her stuff.
Im no stranger to dental work, Dr. H was very gentle, kept asking if I was Ok and comfortable, explained in detail what he was doing at the time. I am Very pleased with the overall care, I will be back.

Undoubtedly the best experience at a dentist by far! Everyone who works there is extremely kind, they make you feel as if you have been a patient there for years. Each appointment I’ve had, no matter the extent of the procedure, has been done in a timely fashion and with great results. I honestly have nothing bad to say about Escondido Dental Group and its employees. Five stars all the way!!!

I had been to other dentists that pushed and pushed for unneeded expensive procedures. I decided to try this place about a year ago on my dad’s recommendation. I love it here! The receptionists are my favorite part — they’re so friendly and kind and explain all of my costs in detail. They’re quick with the scans and procedures. Also, they keep me updated on all the work I’ve had done and all the work I still need everytime I see them. I’d definitely recommend them.

I like most people don’t enjoy going to the dentist. But at Escondido Dental Group they have made it such an enjoyable experience. The staff has always been extreemly friendly, curtious and professional. They do quality work and I am always happy with the results. They worked with me and my insurance to make sure I was gerting best options available at the a price I could afford. The only thing I wish they offered were later appointments. I choose to drive all the way from Del Mar after work and the latest appointments are only available on Tuesdays at 5 and it can be a bit of a stretch with traffic. However, that is very minor compared to everything else this place has to offer. I would recommend Escondido Dental Group to anyone!

I’ve been coming here for many years after trying out various other dentists. My experiences here whether it’s for dental work or just cleaning, for myself or my kids had been EXCELLENT!!! Everyone is courteous, welcoming, honest and professional. As a native Escondidian I will not go anywhere else. Thank you to all at Escondido Dental for always making it so pleasant. Props to Patty who can answer and solve anything!

I have been a patient along with my husband and our two daughters at Escondido Dental Group. I recently had some extensive work done and everyone from the front office staff, Hygentists, Dental Assistants and Dentists are professional and caring. I am very happy with the results and would highly recommend them!

What a fabulous group of professionals to be treated by. So attentive, caring, and a pleasure to be around. They really understood and cared about my overall dental health and needs. I recommend this office for all of your dental health requirements.

I think most people are a little nervous about dental work, but all of the staff at Escondido Dental Group were friendly, attentive, and helpful, and Dr. Liang did a great job of explaining the work I needed done. Also, the referral I requested for an oral surgeon was done the same day and I was able to make an appointment with the other office almost immediately. Very satisfied with this dental group, and will return.

Very pleased with the crown done today. Quickly and skillfully done. Lots of care in fitting/​matching by DR Patel and assistants. The porcelain crown machined on site same day; awesome.
I have been a patient for 2−½ years.

The dentist is supposed to be a scary place, but I really enjoyed my visit! Great staff. Everyone was so nice. I had my first fillings of my life, and it was painless! I also had my teeth whitened. My smile is soooo much whiter. All of my friends gave me complements. This is definitely where I will go for any dental needs.

Even though I have moved to Orange County 3 years ago I will still make the drive here. Staff here is always friendly and courteous. There have been times where I had to reschedule because of the drive and they have always accommodated me. My gums are very sensitive and I have a huge fear of needles since I was little and the dentists here have always been gentle.

Ok, I can’t hold my tongue any longer. These people aren’t the worst but if they are the best, then I give up. Here’s my tips from what I’ve learned.
1. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT schedule an appointment near their closing time. One appointment got rescheduled via TEXT at 2pm, stating I needed to show up at 2:30pm even though my appointment had been scheduled for two weeks at 5pm. When I showed up, they told me they gave away my 5pm appointment and they didn’t have time for me. One appointment, they plain «lost». Last but not least, when they filled two cavities for me at the end of their day, they pushed a 1.5 hour process into 30 minutes and she ruined my teeth all because she wanted to start her holiday weekend early! I had to have an emergency appointment to get them fixed and learned she didn’t do half the things she was supposed to.
2. Don’t expect them to keep your files! I don’t know how they lose files five times in a row, including name, phone numbers and insurance information. What’s happening to personal information if they are «losing» it so often?
3. You will NOT get the services you signed up for. Long story short, they will push services on you that you don’t need like x-​rays instead of cleanings. You do not need x-​rays every 6 months!
4. The desk staff is always polite which is why they get two stars. Just don’t believe a word they say when it comes to appointments.

I wish that I could leave a negative star review. The administrative staff is fairly nice but the clinical staff is terrible and unprofessional. Their mentality is that of a used car salesman and they tried to bully/​push me into more than $ 1000 of work or procedures that I did not need.
(For the record I followed up with a dentist who is a good friend of the family’s, and has been in practice for more than 30 years. He saw me for free and had nothing to gain from giving me a second opinion. He was appalled at what I had told him.)
In any case, I had recently switched employers and therefor insurance. I called for a check-​up and annual teeth cleaning. At the time I made the appointment, NO ONE informed me that «I am not guaranteed a teeth cleaning in case I am in need of a ‘deep’ teeth cleaning.» Lo and behold, when I got there, I was told that I was in need of a «deep teeth cleaning» for upwards of $ 800 and would have to come back for that on several different days. I asked if I could postpone the deep teeth cleaning for now and receive a regular teeth cleaning for financial reasons and because I had already taken an entire afternoon of work to make my appointment at this location.
They refused me this service, changing their story behind why several times. 1. «If we give you a regular teeth cleaning, your insurance may not cover a percentage of the deep teeth cleaning and you’ll have to pay out of pocket.» I said that’s ok for now, please give me the regular teeth cleaning. They simply ignored me and sent a hygienist in to polish my teeth and floss me, which I could have done myself at home. When I asked for the regular teeth cleaning again, they changed their story. «We have diagnosed you with a disease. You need the deep cleaning. If your insurance carrier sees that we gave you a regular cleaning instead of the deep cleaning, the doctor would lose her license.»
This is a lie. I have since asked my insurance carrier and several physicians, and have in fact found that they lied to me.
Example: If you walk into a doctor’s office with a headache and ask for an aspirin, but your doctor recommends that you have a cat scan done but you can’t afford it, you are allowed to insist on the aspirin instead, and they HAVE NO LEGAL RIGHT to DENY you the LOWER level of care (aspirin vs. cat scan) if that’s all you can afford.
Dr. Liang was one of the most impersonal, indirect, unclear and uninterested healthcare professionals I have ever encountered, and she will treat you like you are too ignorant to figure out what a horrible business this is. I HIGHLY suggest you avoid going here at ALL COSTS.
The Escondido Dental Group represents everything that is wrong with dentistry today.

This is by far my favorite dental office to visit! Everyone is super friendly and they make you feel comfortable (ex: blankets, coffee, music, games for kids). Dr. Liang is an excellent doctor who listens to concerns and thoroughly explains the procedures needed. They have reasonable prices and give you options while guiding you to what’s best for your teeth. I appreciate that they are honest about what’s necessary, considering that I want to be able to enjoy eating food for as long as I can!
P. S. this is the only office I would recommend in the Escondido area.

The dentist office is one of my least favorite places to be at, but this office eases the pain and makes it no so much of a tooth ache (no pun intended) ;)
But, really… the staff are very friendly and professional. I highly recommend you stop by the office for all of your dentistry needs!
