Items were stolen from my when it was towed by NK Tow (CHP called them) after I was injured I a car accident.
the manager Ragina answered my first call and said she would show me tape that her guys would noe be the one to have stolen them. She would prove it to me (on tape! I guess the tape told her other wise as I can’t get the her to call back now. Sshe claimed she was too busy to call me back after I filed complaints with my insurance company and CHP I gave them the benefit of the doubt but three week of calling three to four times a week Was more than enough! Beware! NK Towing of I was taken to the hospital while their driver helped himself to my things and they refuse to take or return my calls over three weeks! I am still waiting for a call from the owner they said they would take responsibility for my loss yet after they did not call me after a week (I filed a complaint with the CHP) they did not return my calls (until) today when I called and told Her on the message I was being forced to take legal and social media action! But she talked over me and was rude so I asked for the owner to call me (whom she said wanted fee to take care of this a month ago. I will follow up when I hear from him and or I win in court!

It’s one thing to do your job, but there is no excuse for poor customer service. There was no direction on how to obtain your vehicle, nor who to call or where to go for processing.

Worst service ever. I have been waiting for 4 hours for a tow truck. The driver called and said he was 20 minutes away but never showed or called to say he was lost or anything. I called back after an hour and they said the driver could not find me and went back. They dispatched another truck, I waited for a phone call to say they were on there way but got nothing. I called back and they said they didn’t know what happen and dispatched another truck after I gave them details of where I was but said it would be another hour. I ended up taking the tire off myself and rolled it down the road, thankfully a nice passerby stopped and gave my tire and I ride. Never again NK towing You deserve no stars

When I got out of the water from surfing I went to start my van and it wouldn’t turn over. I didn’t have cables so I called AAA and they sent a battery service driver «Aiden». This guy was so professional. He tried everything testing the battery, cleaning the terminals. Everything. We concluded it was the starter. He then tried every trick In the book to get it going. Didn’t turn so he went back to NK tow yard and got their flatbed to tow me as my van is Massive and can’t be towed with a regular tow truck. All in all his knowledge and professionalism represented the company very well! 5 stars dude!

Predatory Towing Victims to be Reimbursed. The City Attorney’s Office filed the criminal complaint in May. Subsequently, NK Towing agreed to reimburse the tow fees for all 113 vehicle owners, for a total payment of $ 34,580. The news was released by San Diego City Attorney on September 29, 2015. After calling and being on hold with AAA for over 20 minutes, they notified us that a AAA that a service provider was on the way. It was the middle of the night and we were stuck roadside with a flat tire, so we were already tired and irritated and wanting to get home as quickly as possible.
Within 20 minutes of talking with AAA Taylor A. from NK towing arrived ready to help. He arrived quickly and was able to service our needs in an efficient manner. He was extremely helpful and kind to us and gave us a great experience despite being in a stressful situation with a flat tire. He was able to repair the tire and even went the extra mile to make sure the tire would not run flat again. Thank you for such a wonderful experience Taylor A. Your kind manner and helpful demeanor was so appreciated especially when we were stuck on the side of the road in the middle of the night!

Terrible Company. Liars who Lie out of their Lie Hole. I was stuck on the freeway in rush hour traffic. I called AAA. It was 6:05 when I got off the phone with AAA. I then received an automated call saying the tow truck would arrive at 7:05. My husband came to help me he arrived at 6:45 put a gallon of gas in my car and help me move it more onto the side so that I was less in danger. My car still would not start. If that solved the problem I would have called and cancelled the truck, so they could help someone else. So we waited for the tow truck. Usually with AAA I get tons of calls from the tow truck provider to say they are on their way Other than the automated call at 6:05 there was no calls at all. So at 7:10 I call back AAA. AAA tells me the call had been cancelled by the NK towing driver. The NK towing driver stated he talked to me and I said I didn’t need any help, and so he cancelled the call. I went ballistic. I know that AAA is not responsible for this I know that it was all NK Towing, so I feel bad about the language I used and how loud I yelled at the AAA dispatcher, it was not her fault. So the dispatcher tells me that It will be another 30 minutes to get a tow truck out there. The language and yelling intensified, but soon i was off the phone with her and my husband and I were still waiting. So around 7:30 we get a call from a Gina at NK towing asking us if we want a tow truck or if we just want gas. She stated that the Tow trucks didn’t carry gas only the gas trucks carried gas. If our car didn’t start after adding more gas we would have to wait for a tow truck. So we decided to go for the tow truck in the first place to save time. She said since the tow truck didn’t carry gas they would have to tow us to a gas station. She got off the phone before I could ask her how long it would be before the tow truck was there. I finally got a hold of Gina at 7:50 and she said «OH the tow truck will be there in 30 to 40 minutes:». At this point I was done: I went and got in my husband’s truck and got gas. By the time I arrived back at my car. The Tow Truck had arrived and it was 8:15. My husband told him to wait we didn’t want to have to tow my car if all it needed was gas. So the Driver (OF THE TOW TRUCK) pulls out a gas can and puts 3 gallons of gas in my tank, and sure enough my car starts. Gina is a total liar. AAA needs to end their contract with NK towing before they start losing customers. The tow truck driver was very nice, he had been warned, and I was not going to go after him, he was just trying to do his job.

NK Towing has been absolutely amazing! We needed our trailer towed, with the boat still on it, since a bearing came off and the tire was no longer on. After calling AAA with my request they send NK Towing the wrong information. They thought I had a 13 foot trailer when I really have a 25 ft trailer. Our tech (forgot his name but TALL dude with a beard) was probably thinking «WTF» when he saw the job. That didn’t stop him from loading it up and securing it properly for us! After talking with him he said it was by far the hardest call he’s had but NEVER ONCE was he short, or rude with us! He was VERY professional the whole time!
I needed another tow service and specially requested NK towing. AAA told me it would be about 15 minutes longer then another company but it was worth the wait! Thank you for everything!

I am writing to thank NK Towing for their excellent service! I had my car towed yesterday and John was friendly, courteous and took great care in the handling of my car.

Truck wouldn’t start after the rain on Friday. Expeditions are known to leak into the fuse box when it rains and makes them possessed. So I assumed that that was the reason it wouldn’t start. Called AAA and they sent out Eric from this company. He arrived on time as promised. He asked to take a look before the tow and fixed it quickly– it was the anti theft fob not being plugged in all the way! If you don’t have AAA I recommend using this company it made my day saving me a trip to the mechanics!

This is the worst Towing company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They have the worst customer service along with the worst «guidelines» I’ve ever dealt with. I’ll never do business or refer business to this Towing Company.

I’ve used these guys 4 times through AAA. Each and everytime they have showed up within 15 to 20 minutes. Each time the tow guy was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I like NK because there friendly in there communications. One conversation was about family, the other about technology, and the other about the towing business and things i can do for my car maintenance. Its good to see staff like this becuase it seems like there happy and enjoy there work. That probably means NK has a good work enviroment which reflect onto there customers. Thanks NK for the great service.

Last night i watched one of these drivers try to tow a Wounded Warriors car out of our complex mind you there is no handicap parking here so he pulled into a roundabout to unload some heavy boxes as soon as he entered the tow truck pulled up and tried to tow him even after it waz explained to him he still tried to tow it until other people in the area yelled at him and finally another driver talked to him… what scum

I totally agree with Mia’s review Driver #445 /​AL on Friday the 13^th and boy was it for my car! So my VW Beetle died in Encinitas & well I didn’t want to be towed by this other shady company (we natives know about) so I asked for NK knowing by asking around town that they had a good rep. for roadside.
Driver #445/​AL was on point! He showed in 20mins from Del Mar and pushed/​moved my car himself. He was a very professinal driver and I felt safe in a situation that I could of been a total target. I will only use NK from now on because they do care when the rest just want all your change. He took a total negative and made it into a positive so THANK YOU MY NATIVE SDers. It’s nice to know we still have some real deals left in SD.

The nk towing in vista towed my car unlawfully. It was in my spot at the apartment complex I rent from. The spots are numbered. They didn’t get authorization from my landlord to tow. When I called to get my car out asap they had the nerve to tell me it was at their convenience when they will give me my car back! I called at 8 am and they didn’t want to give me my car til 3pm! I told them I was getting it now and then. They tried to deny my husband and I at their gate but we still got it then and there. They charged over 300 which is ridiculous! And wanted to not let me get it out early. They are open 24 hours and they wanted me to make an appointment to get my car. Yea right! Horrible service, horrible sneaky company, and they definitely heard a piece of my mind!

Your brochure online claims you are «dedicated to being the absolute best in the industry» and that you «provide the most professional and expeditious service in San Diego County.» (Those are some pretty bold claims by the way.) Well from my experience those statements are completely false.
Whoever was working as the dispatcher tonight, Thursday, August 21^st, 2014, this review is for you. I was disappointed with your service for 2 reasons:
1. You didn’t keep the appointment time you gave me.
2. You didn’t communicate the changes. You’re either bad at communication, or it clearly wasn’t your priority at the time.
If you commit to being here within 30 minutes, then you don’t let that time come and go and just leave me hanging. I don’t get an answer for another 15 minutes, only to hear you will be there in another 15 minutes. So the hour has gone by, and then I get a text message update saying you will be there at exactly 7:15. That’s in another 15 minutes. (Am I being Punk’d?)
Clearly keeping your original appointment is not a priority, as you seem to shuffle your dispatching order to what is most convenient to the towing company, regardless of who called first.
And even if you were to change the time on me, I had to contact YOU for the updates. After you are late?! It just doesn’t seem very «professional» or «expeditious» to me.
Look, if you just told me from the beginning you were going to take over an hour, I would have been able to spend that hour much more productively. Instead I spent half the time calling you to get an update, while you were booking my guy all over the rest of town.
Maybe you guys need to re-​evaluate your online brochure and advertising so it states more accurately the service level you provide. Unilocal says 3 Stars. Your brochure should say we offer «3 out of 5 star service.»
At least your technician was smart. He opened my car before he called me. He saved himself a little bit of hell. Cheers.

My car broke down on the 5 South going through Camp Pendleton, and called AAA, who dispatched a tow truck with an estimated arrival of 45 minutes. Mark Aleman with NK Towing showed up in 15 minutes. That wasn’t the best part of this story, since Mark just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
If I could give Mark 6 stars, I would. I have to commend him on his outstanding customer service. He was efficient, courteous, safety conscious, friendly, and helpful. He recommended a repair place that had a better after-​hours drop off parking lot than others in the area, and it was also an AAA approved facility.
As another reviewer stated, empathy goes a long way in a distressful situation. Because of Mark’s demeanor, I quickly felt like my car and I were in good hands. If any of you are unlucky to break down on Mark’s shift, I hope you are lucky enough to be towed by him.

It was determined that NK towing was in the wrong and violated the HOA rules in my community. Due to that they had to refund me my money.
At least the supervisor who refunded me was polite.
