Not quite sure what the best part of my room was: the cigarette stains on my comforter or the roach in my shower! The front desk service was good and the room cheap.

The worst experience at a hotel I have ever had! I booked a room three weeks in advance and made arrangements to have a handicap (ADA) room as I have just had major knee surgery. When I made the reservation I was told yes, they had handicap rooms and yes, I could get one.
When we arrived and checked in, they handed me my room key and when I said «It is a handicap room correct»? The clerk looked at me and said no, it’s not a ADA room… we have them but none are available. I told the clerk (while barely standing using a cane) that I was told when I made the reservation yes, they would provide me with the ADA room. The clerk said everyone wants those, but you don’t get one… then went on to tell me if I was lucky he would give me a room on the ground floor! I became very annoyed and at that point the clerk said he MIGHT be willing to cancel my room and I could «try my luck» finding another room on a Friday night. When I asked for the corporate offices phone number he told another person «made a note as he is going to cause trouble.
Seeing as we were attending a wedding in two hours we had to accept the non ADA and deal with it later. Once we went into the room it was filthy, only had a bed, TV, dresser and table, no chairs. We went on line and tried to contact Quality Inn’s corporate offices only to find out they were closed.
We got ready for the wedding, nearly fell in the shower that only had luke warm water, no pressure and no assist bars. After returning from the wedding we met by loud music, very sketchy individuals walking around and a feeling of uneasiness. we went to bed only to be awakened an hour later by yelling and hearing Police radios, looking outside our room seems there was someone arguing with the Police and getting arrested… then the same thing happened AGAIN two hours later… at 3 am we were woke up by hearing a German Shepard barking and more Police action!!! This time a drug bust! At 9am we called the front desk and said we were leaving… we paid for two nights so they said they would (WOULD!) let us go but we had to leave at once and they would not offer a refund for the second night…
DO NOT STAY THERE… the are RUDE, they will lie to your face, the place is NOT SAFE for families… when we left I told them I would be contacting the DOJ and filing a non compliance ADA report they straight out laughed! …Keep laughing boys… this is NOT a dead issue

Yep, this place is still ghetto.
–It was party central until the early morning hours, the staff did nothing
–I’m a woman traveling alone & the crowd of men stood on the balcony checking me out as they drank. I had to go past them several times unloading everything from my car so that I could sleep without worrying that my car would get broken into
–My door lock was broken & wouldn’t lock at all unless you unjammed it manually
–Stains on my sheets
–A/​C didn’t work
–Staff was plesant, but wouldn’t let me switch rooms
–I fell down the stairs carrying all my stuff because there are no elevators
–As I tried to check out the next morning & obtain my receipt for a work expense, the was 1 person working the whole front desk area, had stepped out for several minutes leaving a line of people who needed assistance
–Breakfast was stupid & had hardly anything
–Overall just an uncomfortable experience. I am a Platinum Choice Hotel member, I always stay at Quality Inn’s definitely would not stay here again.

The room’s are nice but it sucks. People smoke in the room’s. Homeless people all over the place. Worst experience ever

This is the worst hotel I have ever been to. The room was a joke. The pillows were tiny square pillows and they were dirty. The bed seemed so dirty it makes me sick thinking about it. The people working didn’t speak English and were very unhelpful. We called them twice because there was a LOUD bumping party in the room above ours from 11pm-​4am. They didn’t do anything about it. Along with the party going on the hotel is literally next to a shady night club. I would never ever stay there again.

We stayed at the Quality Inn in Escondino, CA (555 Centre City Parkway, Escondido, CA 92 025) this past weekend. We had two rooms at $ 100 a night.
1) Our «neighbor» moved in using garbage bags as luggage. Then this neighbor knocked on our door to introduce herself. Every time we opened our door she came out of her room to talk to us. Not that that was necessarily bad, but she proceeded to tell us to be careful where we park the car because the drug dealers will scratch it up and try to break in. I looked around the parking lot for cameras and of course, there were none that I could see.
2) Both rooms were filthy and smelled stale.
3) My daughter’s room had long dark hair on the sheets (my daughter’s hair is blonde and her fiancé’s is short brown) and the bedspread had dark spots that were hard and sticky.
4) No water pressure in the shower.
5) FREE wifi did not work on any of our devices.
6) Went to grab free breakfast at 7:30 and there were no eggs or sausage left. We waited a half hour to see if they would be bringing more out and they did not. They were even out of butter for the toast.
7) When we complained about the hair on the sheets the front desk told us they would give us clean sheets to replace the ones on the bed. Not that they would send someone to change the sheets.
8) Lot of noises and loud music in the middle of the night.
I realize you get what you pay for, but $ 100 a night should get you at least a clean room. When I got home I showered and scrubbed just to feel clean again.

Clean room. Hot breakfast included eggs and sausage. You can make your own waffles. Gentleman at reception was friendly. Room was a little small but clean and bathroom was clean and nice as well. You get what you pay for.

Horrendous customer service. We arrived with our
reservation and were told «Sorry. We don’t have your reservation. Hotel is full. You’ll have to call
.» That’s it. No apology, just passed it off on them. There was another party already sitting there on hold with
and before we left, it happened again. Don’t know what kind of scam they’re running to overbook & assure they fill their crappy rooms, but avoid this place at all costs. Also got to spend 36 minutes on hold with
while we drove around and ended up just booking another hotel in person.

I would like to complain about the female who was in charge of running the breakfast on Sunday August 9. Learn how to smile and answer the customer’s questions without giving an attitude. Everything was perfect, our rooms, checking in, and our stay overall until I asked a simple question and was given an attitude by this employee.

Worst service i have ever experienced from a hotel/​motel. We book a suite with with beds in seperate areas weeks prior to coming. We get here and they give us a room with 2 beds side by side. Not what we were promised on the phone. He takes us to another room tells us we can have it. Then goes off saying its not available. Promises us 2 rooms joined together with the door if we come back a little later. We did and again we cant have the room. Now seperated from our the rest of our party. Bottom line. They beat us around the bush and made a bunch of bs promises. They should have checked into everything before saying its good. On top of that. The curtains are broken there are stains all over the pillow cases making it a completley uncomfortable enviroment for my girl and the kid. Do not come to this place. They are pathetic

Breakfast was adequate. Eggs were awful. Did not restock when they ran out of something before breakfast was over (like knives or yogurt).
Dining room/​eating area was not super clean and the breaker for electricity went out every time someone make toast and waffles at the same time.
Clean room, but carpet, walls, a/​c unit and furniture were well worn.
Very small rooms.
Key card didn’t work after each time we left our rooms.
All the free wi-​fi allowed you to do was text. Too slow for anything else.
Overall one of the worst hotel experiences we have had, but the price would be good simply for a bed for the night.
The owners (who live in the rooms by the pool???) are trying to cut too many corners and you can tell.

I am Not sure what all these bad reviews on here are about. At first I was nervous because of all the bad reviews, but the room is very clean and in a very nice area. The bed is very comfortable the breakfast was awesome. They had waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels and cream cheese, English muffins, cereal, milk, orange juice, apple juice, ect… I found a new place to stay when I go to the Safari Park every month. Would highly recommend, very comfortable stay excellent customer service.

DISGUSTING PLACE! Dirty, unprofessional, horrific customer service. DON’T BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE. You can’t book online! They will say they didn’t get your booking and try to charge you again for another room that probably hasn’t been cleaned for weeks!!! Located in a «shady» part of Escondido.

We stayed here for 3 days and two nights for $ 275 total. Amazing deal, got it through the internet.
We had a little trouble checking in because apparently there was another person with the same reservation, but the gentleman at the counter sorted it out and we received our room.
The room was upstairs and we liked the extra key card. The room was small, but the bed was clean, huge and comfy. The telly worked, had a remote, and was a flat screen. There was a small table for dining or whatever, a microwave, drawers for plenty of clothes, and two night stands with working lamps. The A/​C worked, we had free WiFi, there was an ironing board, and too my delight, the bathroom was wonderful. It came with a glass shower and a new energy efficient shower head that worked really well (as far as E. E ones go). There were plenty of plug ins too. Honestly, for a $ 275 deal, this place was amazing.
We never woke up early enough for breakfast down stairs, the sleep was too comfortable.
There are plenty of restaurants nearby if you get hungry or thirsty.
There are $ 1.00 vending machines just in case you crave a late night snack.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to try out the pool, we were far too busy with our plans. But hey, there’s a pool!
It’s wonderful to find a decent place that doesn’t charge an arm and a leg, especially when you won’t be spending your entire vacation at the hotel. It’s all about the vacation and experience, not the hotel. As long as you have a clean, safe, nice, warm (or cool) place to relax at the end of it all, not too mention inexpensive, you gotta be happy. We’ll definitely be back
I will say that the only thing we didn’t like we’re the few ants we found in the bathroom. Not that big a deal, we all get ants, they were gone the next morning after we threw out our trash.

The rooms at this Quality Inn were smaller than other Quality Inn Hotels I’ve stayed in. I had trouble with the wifi. The breakfast selection was not too much. They told me breakfast was served until 10am. I went down at 9 45 and everything was cleared up already. I poured some apple juice from their dispenser machine and there were red things floating around in my cup. I tried pouring 3 times but they kept coming out. I told the front desk person that the machine was dirty but he tried to convince me that the juice was concentrate and the particles floating around were normal.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean.

I’m only giving this hotel one star and I think that is to much to give. but only because they were nice
Other than that stay away!!! I paid 200 a night for a non smoking room that smelled like they made cigarettes in that room, room beyond hot with no working a. c … alot of hair all over the bed and the bathroom was left over with trash. i was upset so I told them I wanted to be moved to another room and after a hour of wait they found me a room that smelled worse long story short stay away from this place horrible service and a rip off!!! Never again will I stay in this place ever

The only reason I’m giving this a one star is because the front desk (checking in and out) was courteous. However, that’s just about it. Right as my boyfriend and I walked into our room… I had trouble turning on the lights. I went to the side lamp and it just would not turn on… I then thought…“maybe it’s not plugged in?” I followed the cord… and it turned out that the plug was torn off! nothing to plug into the wall?! So we were short a light in the room.
Next, I had to get ready for a wedding soon upon settling down. I walk into the bathroom… there was only ONE towel?! Knowing that there was TWO adults and they left us with one towel… not even a face towel… just one shower towel.
So next, I told my boyfriend to call the front desk to ask for more towels. He picks up the phone… but the phone was broken! there was no ringtone… it was plugged in… but no where was a menu to call the front desk neither, didn’t matter anyways… the phone didn’t work. So thank goodness for technology… we just googled the hotel number on our cell and called the front desk for more towels.
Wait…that’s not it. As I got out of the shower…

We stayed on 8÷17÷13, checking out on the ⁸⁄₁₈. Do not stay here if you can help it. It is not worth the price. Most quality inns are nice and reasonable: I don’t know what happened here.
The reason it is not one star is that one person was very friendly and helpful, Naresh. In fact, he let us check in early, which was helpful.
The rest:
The rooms are small, really small. There were ants. The biggest issue I have is that the AC, running on high 24/​7, was barely able to keep our room bearable. I love getting my room cold like all travelers, but it was just a few degrees cooler than outside at the best (warm/​hot). Only one key worked out of the two given, and very randomly. We did that «stand outside your door for 5 minutes trying to get the card just right» thing every time we went in.
All of this would have been easy to take care of except I never could find anyone at the front desk again, nor does calling help– Busy signal only from our phone. I really mean that. For a weekend, why is there no staff working? Not only that, but there was no bell. Good luck finding anyone if you stay here.
The ice machine was off (It’s august!).
There is no jacuzzi– I don’t know why that shows up in advertisements. We were actually looking forward to that. The pool was a little dirty– lots of leaves and stuff in it. We swam anyway because we were hot!
The breakfast is gross. They have one waffle maker– Hard boiled eggs, toast, fruit, and NO hot cereal, though that’s advertised on their site, and I suspect they served decaf coffee in the regular– yes I can taste the difference as a coffee snob. That’s an old trick to get rid of decaf stock.
The biggest issue is that the woman working the breakfast was serving RAW turkey bacon and sausage patties. I saw her take it out of the Oscar Meyer pack and place it straight into the warmer. I tried explaining to her, in front of people, that this was a serious health issue. She claimed it will stay warm in the warmer. I tried again, saying that’s even worse, you need to cook it first, then keep it warm. She just smiled and left the room. There is a HoJos next door. I picked this place based on experiences at other Qualitys, but after this, when I return to the area, I’m going somewhere else.

Quality Inn is part of choicehotels and we had points to redeem so we chose this place for our free night. Plus, it was only 15 minutes away from our hiking trail.
I’m not sure is it because it was free, so they decided to give us a ghetto room? Or we checked in at 1A.M. and that was the only room left?!? Whatever it is, it’s still ghetto.
1. The manager had to use his own key to open our room for us. Really!!! Good thing we just needed a place to stay overnight and leave the next day. What if we had to go in and out more than that???
2. The room is just so crappy and old!!! I stayed at Econolodge or Rodeway Inn before and it wasn’t that baddd. Carpet floor was tearing apart. Bathroom was not that clean.
3. Right outside of our room, there was a humongous spider web… with a gigantic spider on there.
We stayed at other Quality Inn before and it was superb so not sure what’s with this place. Thank goodness we didn’t have to pay a dime for this! And I’m so glad I was outta there by 6A. M…If the room is not clean itself, I doubt their breakfast will be any clean either. And yup, I was right! We checked the waffle maker and it was dirty as heck!
Go stay at another ghetto hotel if you have to, but not this one!
