The Love Aquarium

The sign outside may still say Fish Haven, but it is under new ownership and now called The Love Aquarium. What a fitting name because you can definitely feel the love when you walk in! The new owner Doug is very educated (as are his employees) and you can tell that they all really know what they are talking about when you ask them for help. They are always taking care of the tanks and fish yet more than willing to help their customers, even those with a lot of questions. Which means their fish and corals are well taken care of which gives confidence to the customer when buying. Nothing is worse than seeing dead or dying fish in the tanks when you go in a shop looking to buy something, and this isn’t a problem here! They have a great selection of supplies and fish for both saltwater and freshwater, and don’t cater to one or the other like some shops do. Every time we go in we like to walk around and just take a look at what is new in the tanks because there are a lot of fish and corals to see! We bring our daughter in and they are very accommodating and friendly towards her, they even gave us a little fish keychain for her on her first time in which she loves!
It’s hard to find a shop like The Love Aquarium, you can tell that Doug is truly passionate about the hobby as well as his shop and isn’t just in it for the money. We will continue to do business here! We’re happy that there is a great shop close to where we live with staff that are a pleasure to work with. If you have shopped here in the past under the previous owner Jim and had a bad experience (like we did many times) you should definitely give The Love Aquarium a chance, it’s a night and day difference!
