History

Established in 1991.

Steve started entertaining Oregon clients in 1991. He has specialized in wedding ceremony and reception music ever since. He has been privileged to work with just about every venue, photographer and caterer in the Willamette Valley. Steve says, «I love this business and not just because I love music. I get to work with great people, my clients and their vendors. I enjoy having fun with people and playing great music. It doesn’t get much better then that!»

His interest in music started at Elmira High School in the early 80’s when he played music at school dances as a student. In the mid-80’s, in the U.S. Air Force, he gained more experience playing music at squadron parties. In the late 80’s, he entered civilian life and worked for a large DJ company in Southern California. He gained a lot of experience with wedding receptions and a wide variety of events. He moved back to Eugene and started About Sound in 1991.
