Campus Inn & Suites Eugene Downtown

I do love the culture of the staff at Campus Inn! Not only are they always Proffessional, but the people are friendly, and knowledgeable about the area both in regards to food, and local allure. When you arrive the faces that greet you are smiling ones. I particularly like the attention to detail each house keeper maintains on the daily. Keep and be kept at the campus Inn, where the door is always open.

Points for location, soft bed and pillows. Rooms, very very dingy, old, extremely smelly and musty. Black mold in grout of shower. Carpet felt damp to bare feet. Coffee maker took several tries and plugs to work. Coffee maker was very dirty on the outside as well as the tray it sat on. Looks like the alarm clock, bases to lamps, desk and counters are not wiped down daily.
At 4a.m. a group of four people entered their room directly above us yelling screaming, laughing and pounding on who knows what. I finally called the front desk to ask them to take care of noise. The talking and laughing quieted but the stomping and slamming of doors did not. One of them took a very long and loud shower followed by someone (s) having very loud sex. Finally at 5a.m. it became quite but sleep would not come back to us.
The gentleman at the front desk upon check in was very curt. He checked us out at well and did not ask about our stay. The breakfast bar looked unpleasant and they don’t seem to keep the counter tidy during breakfast. We passed on that. At that point I just wanted out of there.
I will never go back and do not recommend to anyone.

Nice employees, clean rooms, comfortable bed. Exercise room and hot tub available. Great breakfast juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Convenient coffee pot and iron and alarm clock in room.
I really think these other people whom posted on this site were lying. It should be reviewed by the coordinator!

I should have checked with Unilocal before booking this room! While it is a convenient location, it is right by an extremely busy intersection. Traffic noise starts early. The room was dated and dirty. The maids did not clean the first day, they told me, «we knocked on the door, it was locked and no one answered, so we did not go in.» Really? The next three days they changed the sheets and towels but did not vacuum or wipe down the sink area, replace the coffee or toilet paper. We had to go to the office and get all of that ourselves. No one seemed very concerned.

The Campus Inn is like a bad Motel 6. It’s located on Franklin Blvd. and the road is very busy with traffic and noisy. There was a gap in-​between the door and the floor, so both noise and light was filtering into the room. The room was clean, the bed was soft and worn-​out, and the hot water in the shower was not working well. I was renting the room during graduation weekend because I could not find any other options for less than $ 300 night in Eugene. The Campus Inn was charging $ 139/​night for a room… what a rip-​off! I won’t be back.

So, my boyfriend and I are currently staying in the Campus Inn in Eugene on Broadway. We are from out of town, and came down here for a concert, so we didn’t get to our room until late. Coming back to a hotel room at midnight, you expect to be able to crawl into a nice clean bed and go to sleep. However, we were not that lucky. We pulled back the duvet cover to see a yellow piss look staining, big brown makeup stains, and hair, dried caked on makeup, and dry caked on chocolate on the sheets/​blanket. I was disgusted. These sheets were not clean, neither was the blanket. Not only that, but when I went to grab a wash cloth to dry my hands after washing my hands, I was DISGUSTED to find a wash cloth COVERED in dry caked on foundation/​makeup. We immediately went to the front desk, and the older man who came up to our room to investigate further, inspected everything and was disgusted to see the wash cloth, the dried caked on chocolate (he confirmed it was indeed chocolate, or so I hope it was), and he said it himself, «these were not cleaned». He gave us new blankets/​sheets. He offered to give us a discount if and only if we were staying another night, which we aren’t. We came down here for the night for a concert. We are a young couple who can’t afford a lot of nice things, so we were pretty discouraged to have our weekend away ruined by our hotel stay. We rarely get out. And to know we are spending $ 80 for a filthy room, we are pissed. We are both so grossed out still, we can’t fall asleep. If all of those things weren’t cleaned, it makes you wonder, what else wasn’t cleaned that we can’t see? Also, if you’re thinking of staying here while a concert or event is going on nearby, DONT. We got back around midnight, and there was absolutely no parking left because the people staying here are having an after party and everyone took the open spots. The person at the front desk said we could park in the spot (not an actual spot I don’t believe), that’s right next to the front desk building. Really hope none of the drunk KIDS partying here hit my car in the parking lot. Also, there’s definitely not much regulation of noise, when I came back to the inn at around midnight, there were still kids upstairs and in the parking lot yelling and screaming and partying. I just can’t believe we spent money on this place, never again will I stay anywhere this gross.
UPDATE: just opened the night stand drawer looking for a pen, and saw a little white tube that looked like a small tooth paste bottle towards the back of the drawer, well I grabbed it to see what it was. IT WAS A GOD DAMN TUBE OF MONISTAT VULVAR CREAM?! WHAT IN GOD’S NAME!
Also– the new bedding/​pillows we just received has stains on it. currently packing up all of our stuff so we can get the hell out of here first thing in the morning once it’s light outside.
UPDATE: just found that the tops of both night stands haven’t been cleaned and is covered in residue.

Amazing, thoughtful, personal service. We had a bit of an emergency and Sheila at the front desk helped us out. Not a single hotel in Eugene would help us and she came thru and worked something out for us last minute. She was such a sweetheart and a breath of relief! Thank you for being so exceptional. Very nice hotel. And kind staff. Hard to come by these days!

First, this room was the cheapest in the area. $ 65, for two queens.
Pros– close to McDonald theater, Matthew Knight Arena, and food. Room was clean. No bedbugs in the sheets (that I could tell?). It was quiet. Decent TV. Clean linens.
Cons– The tunnel under the deck next to our room smelled like piss, so I think its a homeless hangout. Shower drain full of someone else’s hair. The doorjamb on our front door had been repaired, poorly, from being kicked in. So someone was probably murdered there at some point.
So you want a cheap room to just sleep in, I would recommend this place. Next concert or comedy show at McDonald theater I will stay here.
I was shocked when I was able to reserve a «4 guest mini suite. Multiple rooms and TV’s, DVD player» for only $ 65. My email reservation confirmation reflected this also. The room we wound up with was just a regular double room. So I don’t know what the mistake was, but the room was only $ 65 so no big deal.
***EDIT*** My brother and I stayed in room 120, Caroline’s same room and the urine smell was outside, when we closed the window it went away after a few minutes.

After reading other reviews for this hotel, I assumed it would be a good place to book. I couldn’t have been more wrong & I still don’t understand how some people considered this place clean. After checking we were given room 119 and walked into a room that smelt like URINE. The bed appeared to have NEVER BEEN WASHED. There was white dog fur all over the top of the comforter sheet along with crumbs & stains. Did I mention that the beds looked like a 5 year old made them? No box spring sheet to hide the stained/​old mattress and the fitted sheet was very messily tucked in as if someone had just hopped out of bed in a rush. I immediately went back up the front desk & asked for a different room (no apologies or explanation). I was handed a key for room 120. Surprise, surprise, the room also smelled like urine. This room was only equipped with one old floor lamp and very dim lighting, so it was hard to tell if the sheets were clean or dirty. By this time it was already 2AM & we decided to suck it up and stay the night as it’d be hard to find another place in such short notice. We slept fully clothed & checked out first thing the next morning — funny they didn’t even ask why? It must be common. We checked into the Super 8 hotel the next day & finally felt like we were are a normal CLEAN hotel. I think everyone should ask to see a room prior to paying a dime for this place — I guarantee you will not want to stay either. My clothes were stained in the smell from this place. YUCK!!!

I guess the reason this place gets two stars is because I would have given it a one, but this place has a fabulous front desk associate so she deserves a star. Other than that, I am not happy with our room. I found a booger on one of our hand towels and the sheets have a ton of hair on it (short and long.) and it looks like the room has not been cleaned much at all. I didn’t notice any bedbugs, so I guess that’s something. Place has potential, just please clean the rooms!

After having our car window busted out in Portland in conjunction with a theft totaling about $ 1000, we drove through the night in a windy and noisy car and pulled into the Campus Inn at about 2:30 AM. The gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant. Noting the late hour and our plight, he offered us a room at a discount. The room was right out front but there was no problem whatsoever with traffic noise. He was able to give us a first floor room which was very important since we had to totally unload our unsecured belongings into our room. (The Prius we had rented had no trunk.) The night shift front desk clerk even loaned me a broom and a dustpan so I could clean up broken glass from inside our car and from their parking lot. This particular room was small (and seemed smaller since we were sharing the space with all of our cargo). But it was comfortably appointed and all fixtures were in good repair.
In the morning we took our rented vehicle out to the airport, exchanged it for another car, and then returned to our room to load up all of our stuff. This lodge gets high marks from me mostly because of the friendliness and courtesy shown by their night clerk. As I see it, he helped assure that our entire vacation was not ruined. I hope he sees this sometime. It was in August of 2013.

Very clean, awesome price, easy check in, and pet friendly. Nothing better than that, we loved our stay!

The front desk was charming and personable. The twinkling icicle lights in the trees were a nice presentation. However, the room was downright dingy and dark, smelled decidedly moldy, and the air conditioner sounded like a popcorn machine. Next time, I’ll spend another $ 20 and go to Best Western.

A solid place to crash if you’re looking for somewhere close to downtown for a reasonable rate. The front desk will do their best to get you the best rate possible.
As a walk in I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was above and beyond my expectations.
The only thing I’m not a fan of is the shower curtains. It’s a small bathtub and the curtains are the old cloth like ones. So it eats up a lot of limited space. I’m okay with the small space but it could be utilized better.
I didn’t notice any noise problems, perhaps due to the loud AC but I typically sleep with an industrial fan at night, so the sound is comforting to someone who rests better with that in the background.
The staff was attentive and quick without feeling rushed or like you’re a bother.

The outside of the place wasn’t too bad but I think I saw it on an episode of CSI once. Inside was a different story. Upon entering my group experienced an unpleasant scent. After searching we discovered some furry nachos in the mini fridge. We were given half a roll of toilet paper like we were on some survival show. We found an earring under the night table, and I mean I’m all about free gifts but this was a tacky hooker earring. We also found a bottle cap on the floor. Our shower had no drain but every room comes equipped with an extra sink just incase you want to brush your teeth while your friend uses the facilities. Enjoy!

Clean bathroom, well maintained rooms, no complaints about the bed, great wifi signal and friendly staff. I left the powercord to my mac in the room and the staff mailed it back to me, great overall experience for under $ 60.

Our stay was just okay. I had a reservation for a room with a king bed, but they gave me a room with a queen instead, and it was the last room available. Things were pretty clean, but it was definitely more like a motel than a hotel. Noise was my biggest complaint. We could hear people talking as they walked by the room at late hours of the night, and the air conditioning was really loud, so it would wake me up each time it turned on and then keep me up with the continued fan noise. We ended up turning the AC off, but it was so hot that it was hard to sleep. Continental breakfast was just some pastries and apples, so we ate elsewhere. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again on a hot day.

Stayed for about a week and I have one major complaint: the cleaning of the rooms really need to be taken up a notch. Whenever I came back after a cleaning, they did not clean the bathtub nor vacuum the floors nor wipe down the tables. I know this because I would have crumbs from my food on the chair/​floor and on the tables still after they had gone through my room. And I also tried to take oatmeal baths in the bathtub, so I know that they didn’t clean the bathtub when some of the oatmeal was still left in the tub.
Otherwise, the staff are really friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast is alright — mostly breads.
