I always stop at this place when I am either heading back home to California or back to college in Seattle.
Services:
The room service here is great and so is the food. They are very accommodating when it comes to special food needs or if I want something different that isn’t on the menu. Room service ends at 10:00 but I wish it ended at 11:00 in case one had a late night snack mood. Breakfast starts at 6:30 until 11:00 am.
Concierge and guest services:
The whole staff are welcoming and friendly. I’ve come here so much that they know me by name AND they even know my dogs! This hotel is totally pet friendly. They leave treats in your room for your dog. Plus they even leave a card to welcome your dogs which is a total plus! They have dogs beds and doc bowls if needed which is great. If you need extra towels or anything they are quick to make sure that they exceed your expectations. I love this place so much because I can ask for extra towels and shampoo and it will be at my door within seconds. How great is that? Quick service and fantastic staff members!
The room:
The place is clean and smells so fresh. Everything is so clean that I barely ever see any dust. There’s even a fireplace that turns on just by a button so if you are cold you can totally get warmed up by the fire. Maybe even cuddle by the fire! May not seem like there are not enough lights in the room, but the room gets bright enough despite the amount of lights in the room.

Dog friendly with no breed/​weight limit! Our room came with a dog bed, food and water bowls, and treats for our German shepherd. The rooms are very nice and the fireplaces are a great bonus! Staff is super helpful and friendly. Only drawback is the parking; you have to pay for valet as they have no other parking options.

This is a beautiful hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. There are a lot of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice balcony overlooking the courtyard and shops. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Eugene!

Totally outstanding. I know I’m on a roll with 5 star reviews lately but thanks to the advice from people on Unilocal I can’t help but find the best of the best.
The Inn at the 5^th is stellar. There are so many reasons this is a great hotel, and I promise you I mean this because I stay in hotels a lot. In fact, this is my 3^rd hotel in 3 cities and 3 states in less than two weeks. This will go down as a comfy, cozy and memorable hotel stay.
The basics:
–shampoo and conditioner. It’s not combined! (Aveda products, too)
–full size mirror
–full size hairdryer in room
–huge closet with hanging space and deep drawers
–ample work space in the room for eating, working
–free WIFI
–fireplace in room
Weird bonus things that matter but I don’t often see in hotels:
–The thermostat switch can be reach from the bed. THE BED!
–The light switch can be reached from the bed. THE BED!
–There is a full outlet with 2 free plugs available right next to the bed. Again with things close to the bed!
Basically the bed is an arm’s reach from all that’s important. So friggin’ cool.
There are also two face wash cleansing cloths for removing makeup in the soap tray. Very nice! I’ve never actually seen this at a hotel but it’s really great. There’s even a container with q-​tips and cotton swabs which while common, is not always seen at hotels.
The ice is in a cooler but packed in individual bags. No drips, no gross scoop, no dirty bucket. You can grab a bag en route to your room or run back and get one. The plastic bag can work as a liner to protect the ice from touching the surface of the bucket. Have also never seen this before. It’s like the person who plans the functionality of this hotel has a PHD in hotel design.
More basic awesomeness:
–The linens are super clean and white and soft
–6 towels in my bathroom. SIX!
–The room (and entire hotel, really) is spotless. It truly looks like the place opened up today for the first time. It’s the cleanest hotel I’ve visited in a while.
–It’s very very quiet
–My room has a balcony with a bistro table!
–The art on the walls appears to be unique to each room. Not too cheesy, not ugly. Everything looks well-​planned and thoughtfully placed. There’s a lot of personality to this little room
Oh! And lastly, there’s actually a small door located next to each hotel room door. This door operates like those old milkman doors or dumbwaiters where you can order room service and have it delivered through the wall so you don’t have to be dressed or interact with a person. It’s crazy! The door locks from the inside so you don’t have to worry about anyone opening it that isn’t supposed to. It has two shelves so if you ordered lots of food, they can just gently knock, set it inside the little door and then you open your door to grab it and take it inside. Such a cute, interesting, and adorable touch.
Price for a room this outstanding was really reasonable. Considering all of the unique and fun amenities, how clean the rooms are, and how insanely friendly the staff is, I’d always stay here when visiting Eugene. This will not be my last visit to the city this year and I will be damned if I stay anywhere else! Oh — and the location is convenient as well. It’s basically perfect from top to bottom.

The best customer service and welcome. Beautiful rooms and great location. Will absolutely stay here again.

*Gorgeous rooms and property
The Inn at the 5^th was built a little over 3 years ago and is an independently owned boutique hotel with ultra comfortable beds and great bedding, immaculately clean rooms, and modern bathrooms with a large walk in rain shower. If at all possible, get a balcony room, its part of the charm of the property as the balcony looks over a quaint looking Parisian styled central courtyard complete with red café tables. Our non balcony room had windows which did not open and I regretted not getting a balcony room and craved breathing in the fresh Oregon air for the short time we were in our rooms each day. Also, each room is decorated with a theme, we happened to get a bicycle themed room which was nice.
*2 hours from Portland, 1 ½ hours from the Coast
We made a spur of the moment somewhat spontaneous road trip to Eugene and I figured I would find a room via smart phone on the 14 hour drive. I originally booked one night only as we were not sure if we were going to stay in overnight in Portland or just day trip it for the remainder of our days in Oregon, but after our long drive up to Eugene and comfortable stay we did not want to check out. We ended up making the Inn our hub so we could take a few short day trips to the Oregon Coast (1 ½ hour scenic drive to Florence from Eugene) and Portland (approx 2 hour drive from Eugene) over the long weekend.
*Rates can be at a premium on University of Oregon Football Weekends
When we decided to extend our stay after our first night, we found out the next few days happened to coincide with a University of Oregon Football game opening weekend, (Go, Ducks!) and room rate prices skyrocketed to more than double the price of our weeknight rate for the last two nights of our stay. Thankfully, it was a slower at the hotel than a normal «football» weekend and they were kind enough to work with us on reducing the newly inflated rate but we still paid what I would consider way much too much for Eugene, Oregon, even given the quality of the rooms and amenities here. Unfortunately, we were not able to transfer to a balcony room because $ 450 per night on Fri/​Sat game weekend was just way more than we wanted to spend and they were not able to accommodate a reduced room rate price on balcony rooms. Besides, we weren’t even in our rooms except to sleep at night and shower, btw loved the walk in roomy rain shower and modern bathrooms, but I did miss not being able to breath in some fresh Oregon air at night.
*Upscale Adjacent Shopping Center and Market/​Parking and $ 30 voucher package
I understand the owner of this property also owns the adjacent 5^th Street Marketplace shopping center. For our first night stay we purchased a great a room package which included a waived parking fee and a $ 30 credit voucher to the newly opened Provisions Market or the Marche French restaurant both located just steps away from the front Lobby. The voucher had to be used all at one time with no cash refund for the balance, but that made for a fun little spending spree and not hard at all to use up and we chose to use our voucher at the Provisions Market. Due to the football game weekend we were not able to purchase that room package with voucher again for any reasonable amount of money or it was not available, can’t remember why.
*Great Service and Amenities
Service and amenities were appreciated. Upon Check in we were offered complimentary beverages from their refrigerator in the lobby for check in day only, and during the day there was always complimentary cold bottled water at the valet. The Inn also has loaner bicycles for use up to three hours a day, first come first serve, which we did take advantage of to take a bike tour of downtown Eugene and the University of Oregon. By the way, there is no pool or hot tub here. The staff provided great service our entire stay and they were very accommodating. For example, when I asked them for window cleaner and paper towels to clean our car window the even offered and almost insisted to have the valet clean it for us which I declined since we easily took care of it ourselves, but it was a kind gesture none the less.
Overall, for the convenience and comfort of having a temporary home away from home and not having to check in and out of different hotels during our short stay in Oregon, we were pleased. Next time we will book earlier or plan ahead so that we can avoid last minute price increases.

Quaint hotel surrounded by restaurants and shops. Fab staff, complimentary glass of wine at check-​in (delicious) very nice room, great bed and linens, super clean. Spacious bath with high– end Aveda products. Loved the balcony overlooking courtyard with bistro tables. Close to all kinds of brew houses & delicious restaurants. Definitely would recommend to my friends!!!

The people are super friendly. Location is awesome… close to bars, food, etc. my only complaints would be the shoddy wifi (extenders need to be installed in the property), and free weights in the gym should go to 50lbs at lease. Other than that, this place is awesome.

I loved the place… loved Eugene. Thank you Inn at the 5^th for your part in making my first trip to Oregon a memorable one. We barreled into town after a long, stressful trip from Los Angeles. Delayed flight to Seattle, canceled flight into Portland, lost bags and 2.5 hour drive from Portland to Eugene. We were exhausted.
We were met by two very friendly employees who immediately offered me a glass of wine. They informed me that the valet would have to park my car and called him in. I offered to show him where my car was and he brushed me off with a quick show of the keys and «I’ll find it when I push the unlock button». Now that’s some service.
The lobby is lovely and inviting and our room had a movie theme. I loved the fireplace and the size of the room was impressive. Only thing I would have loved more was a bathtub, but those are increasingly hard to find unless you’re in a five star hotel. Ultra comfy robes and bed. A very unique addition at the Inn are butler doors… if you order up room service you don’t have to answer the door, they place your food in the locked butler door from the outside and you grab it from the inside cabinet door. Who’d-a thunk it? Great idea!
Woke up in the morning and called down to see if our bags arrived… and they had! Score! I only wish we’d had another day in Eugene to chill at this fine establishment. Considering my kid wants to go to U of O, it looks like I’ll be back.

I had the most positive, wonderful experience at this hotel. Walking in after flying across the country, getting a rental car and driving two hours down from Portland to Eugene, I was greeted by the nicest staff in the world and a complimentary glass of wine. He-​llo Eugene! If you can believe it, it was all uphill from there. My room was clean, pretty, and modern. Complete with fireplace and balcony.
Small detail – I love room service, but it is sometimes a little awkward to have someone come into your room and bring you your meal. At this place, they have a little butler’s door and they can place it just inside of it for you to take, no awkwardness or need to get into normal clothes/​make the bed if you don’t want to! Genius!

This hotel Is great. It’s clean and well maintained. Location is great too! Everything is in walking distance. The absolute best thing is the staff. They are super nice and fun. Conley was fantastic! She gave fabulous recommendations and went out of her way to make our stay wonderful. I hope to be back.

The staff at this hotel are what truly set it apart! They are the most genuinely warm and caring staff I have ever had the privilege to meet. I got the feeling that the people working here do so because they want to show off their city to travelers.
Beyond the incredible staff the rooms are magnificent. The beds are very comfortable, the shower is luxurious and the room is completely sound proof. This creates a blissful area to relax and unwind from a long day.
I will certainly be returning to Eugene if for no other reason than to hideaway at the Inn at the 5^th.

We spent a couple of nights here for a wedding. The location is perfect, it’s very close to everything and easy to access. The room was extremely clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the shower was awesome! The art around the hotel is quirky and interesting. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and they also have a shuttle available for short trips around town. It was a Mercedes and was a pretty nice ride, a far cry from the worn out fifteen passenger van I was expecting.
The parking situation is kind of ridiculous, the lot adjacent to the hotel only allows for three hour parking most of the day because the hotel is attached to businesses, which basically forces you to have to valet your car. While it didn’t take too long to get the car, it seemed really silly when you have a parking lot right there and you can’t really use it. This was my only issue with the establishment. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Eugene. We would stay there again and really enjoyed our visit.

I loved this place! It was so cozy and comfortable! Great location too. The room I shared with my boyfriend was fresh and light. There was a fireplace, a desk, a coffee station, and a nice couch along with our comfy bed in the room. We both enjoyed the stay and will come back if we’re ever in the area again.

We got the opportunity to stay at Inn at the 5^th, and it was an incredible experience. The whole premesis was incredibly clean, and the rooms were amazing. Each room is decorated uniquely to provide an individualized flair, and all of them are spacious and open, with incredibly comfy beds, a nice fireplace, and beautiful shower rooms. The guest lounges on each floor are a nice treat, and the gym was clean and well maintained. Plus, the service was spectacular. From the moment you check in to the moment you leave, the staff make sure you are taken care of. Additionally, you can’t beat location — located in the heart of the 5^th Street Market, there’s a ton to do, see, and eat. I would recommend this to any out of town guests, and even to local Eugenians as a nice stay-​cation.
Absolutely no complaints. Best inn in town — five stars!

My husband I stayed for two days to celebrate our anniversary and we couldn’t have been happier with our service there, everyone was so friendly and we felt very pampered. The room service was amazing and the cocktails were not watered down. I plan on coming back very soon!

First visit was GREAT. They gave us VIP parking for Thievery Corporation that night. Sweet. The room faced the patio though, which was lit up like the sun.
Just stayed last night and though this room was in a better location, facing the street, we noticed a lot of changes for the worse. They tried to hustle us into paying another $ 16 for valet parking; come on — we’re already throwing down nearly $ 200 to stay in an empty hotel, near Xmas, in a college town. The police weren’t ticketing their private lot.
Weak.
Room service had a late teens kid who wouldn’t deliver the beer then use the (neat) drawer for the food. And it was 20% gratuity plus $ 3 for the kid to do a 5min delivery from downstairs. Come on. Luxury hotels shouldn’t nickel and dime you like this. Seriously.
Two workers at the front desk all night? Not luxurious. Wasteful, inefficient, and frankly heavy handed. Just let us come and go without having to talk to 2 people every time we go through the lobby. Feels like its security, and not in a good way. The elevators already require the room key. Are the fratboys across town really a problem here or something?
The sticky note saying don’t smoke or it’ll cost you $ 500, stuck to the bathroom mirror, was just too much. Again, this isn’t how luxury hotels convey class.
First experience here was a 5 star, this last one was a 2 (for the $$, very uncool), so we’re saying its a 3 overall.
Oh yeah, the Wi-​Fi is really bad. Again — a $ 200/​night hotel in a college town and the cellphone «4G» service is way faster than their Wi-​Fi? Boo. NOT classy.
THIRD UPDATE — midsummer, no one’s there, called and they wanted over $ 250 this time… what in the fuuuuuuuuuuuu ck? We explained they only have an empty hotel and we would give them $ 175 and they refused. Okay. Not returning.

Trust me, Inn at the 5^th is exactly what you’re looking for.
Let me guess — you want a boutique hotel, but you don’t want to have to book months in advance to score one of their 5 rooms. (Check. This spot has boutique amenities with big box availability.) You want a location close to U of O but not in-​the-​dorms close (check). You want affordability (check), walkability to downtown Eugene’s finest (check), a gym (check), fast free wifi (check), and maybe even a cheeky spa treatment or two (check, check).
Traveling to Eugene? This is the one. Trust me.

Truly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful rooms, great staff. Loved the holiday decorations. Fireplace in the room was a nice touch. Highly recommended hotel.

What a delight. Recently we zoomed down to Eugene to see a David Sedaris event at the Hult. Rather than do the research to determine which hotels take dogs, I simply called AAA. (They are awesome too, BTW.)
After reviewing the various hotels in the area, I selected Inn at the 5^th because of their proximity to the Hult and 5^th Street Market.
What a find. A seriously sweet, comfortable room. Lovely staff and a great location.
There are just a few things I would change: 1.) The PILLOWS. They are stuffed with foam rather than feathers. 2.) The wait to check in. There were two folks working on ONE car reservation for ONE guest. Curious. I suppose you could say they are all over it or they don’t have an organized system.
We will go back! And so will our dawg, aBoo. They were particularly happy to see her!
