Description

Specialties

Mosaic designs and builds exceptional gardens. Our work has been featured in Sunset, Fine Gardening, Garden Design and other publications. We are licensed landscape contractors, OLCB# 8508, providing all phases of landscape construction, including planting, stonework, irrigation, lighting and more.

We design landscapes intended for our installation and build our own designs in order to provide a seamless process with a cohesive, beautiful product. The quality and craftsmanship of our construction ensures that each element of the garden enhances the design and is made to last. Through our monthly garden development program, we care for and guide many of our projects into maturity and beyond.

Since 2002, we have built beautiful landscapes that are on time and on budget, and lasting relationships with our clients. Our offices in Eugene and Coos Bay, Oregon provide local landscape design and construction services to those areas, and we are always happy to travel for a great project.

Meet the Business Owner

Buell and Rebecca S.

Business Owner

Buell Steelman and Rebecca Sams are the principals of Mosaic Gardens. Their love of gardens is reflected not just in their work, but in their own space, which has been featured in a variety of publications and was selected as one of Fine Gardening’s Great Gardens in 2007. Both graduates of he University of Texas at Austin, Buell began his landscape career in 1995, and Rebecca began hers in 2000. They met while working for Gardens, a groundbreaking landscape architecture design/build firm in Austin. In 2002, they moved to Eugene, Oregon and established Mosaic, which has been their primary focus and passion since. While building a project near Coos Bay, Oregon, they discovered the beauty of the Southern Oregon coast. In 2010, they purchased a second home/office there. When not working on gardens, Buell and Rebecca explore the rich, natural landscape of the Pacific Northwest with their dogs, cook with the bounty of incredible local produce and occasionally rest.
