History
Established in 2002.
Mike and May Tan opened Sushi Sam back in 1998 with a vision to open a real sit down restaurant in Southlake. They did just that and with style. Support from the community was overwhelming. Mike and May brought Sushi to a town that until then had known little more than the typical fast food that is so pervasive in our culture today. They brought freshness, new tastes, and a place for the community to sit down to dinner.
Mike and May had such great success with Sushi Sam that they decided to open another restaurant… Lava Asian Grill. This new place opened in 2002 and once again brought new tastes and style to the area.
The Hibachi Chefs are true showmen adding dazzling brilliance to your dining experience. Lava Asian Grill now incorporates cuisine from Several Corners of Asia including Thai and Japanese. Let this highly trained crew dazzle you at your next dining venture.
