Susan & Bob Johnson own and operate Shady Lady. She has Certified Professional Dealer Status. He is a HD Certified Master Installer. They have been in the color and design business in Humboldt County since 1979 and started selling window coverings in 1983.

In October of 2010 they moved to Eureka and opened their HunterDouglas Gallery Showroom. They invite you to stop in and see all of the beautiful and innovative window covering products on display.

History

Established in 1983.

Bob & Susan Johnson formerly owned The Arcata Color Center, a Benjamin Moore Paint Signature Store. In 1997 Susan became the Shady Lady and moved in to her own showroom. After spending 5 years in the Bella Vista Plaza in McKinleyville, Susan & Bob moved to Eureka and opened their HunterDouglas Gallery Showroom.

This place is awesome. They had my blinds installed in less than two weeks from the first time I talked to them. I got my whole house done for an EXTREMELY awesome price. I got wide faux wood blinds in the front of my house (5 Windows) and black out shades in the back bedrooms. And they are everything I had hoped for!
He was in and out in less then two hours!
