Barclays Hair Design & Day Spa

It was a good haircut and color. My wife liked it but, My problem lies with the 48 dollar overcharge I have yet to see returned. Bad enough to pay 204 for a haircut but to get my receipt and my bank to match up was a laugh. I was overcharged 48 dollars. So she had a 252 dollar haircut. My wife was promised 5 days ago this would be corrected so I was extremely nice about. Well that was 5 days ago and have yet to see my money so I recommend you take your money elsewhere. My wife will definitely not be returning.

I am a hairstylist myself in town from Palm Springs visiting my parents. My mom was kind enough to give me her cut appointment with Ryan today. My hair is quite a challenge as I have bleached it within an inch of its life. (Beyond, really!) Ryan did an amazing job! It was easy to communicate my hair vision. He was patient and gave me some great ideas of what products and color I might try. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RYAN!

Company Christmas party last night. Rain/​wind. Homegirl needed her hair done to withstand the elements.
My usual salon was having an open house, so no go there. Called a few other salons, also booked — I was in luck with Barclay’s; they fit me in at 3pm for a style.
Julia was my stylist — she was super nice and very competent. I didn’t go in needing anything fancy, just my shoulder-​length straight hair curled. I would do it myself but I can never get the back of my hair curled.
Style set me back $ 22, which was the «associate» price. Not bad, though at my usual salon a wash and style is about the same price.
Good place to go in a pinch, but I’ll still be loyal to my regular salon/​stylist.

The staff are incompetent
She is supposed to have been there for 15 years. With my Curley hair she gave me a cut that was totally wrong for curly hair
My hair was to my waist and she took my hair to sell it I guess didn’t let me take my own hair
Horrible place
Won’t go there again

After I took the time to explain that I have waivy hair with a lot of volume she still cut it as if I have straight hair
It was too shot after my hair dried
It was awful and this is one of their oldest most experienced veteran cutters
Very disappointed for a $ 50 cut
Will never go again

A couple years back finally decided to change up my hair. Finally found a picture I wanted my hair to look like (granted yes I know it WONT be exactly the same) they had the cut and color deal for 50 $ going on. Lady said she could give me that deal and then whatever more it would cost for the highlights I wanted. 3 hrs later I left extremely PISSED OFF! This lady had no idea what she was doing. I wanted blended highlights and specifically told her «do not give me streaks» I ended up getting an underneath color of dark black brown which I did NOT ask for nor coincided with my pictures and huge fat skunk streaks. And I ended up leaving paying damn near 200 $. The girl was a young girl who’s name I don’t remember. When giving me my «streaks» she left the product on my hair for way to long that my scalp was on fire and had to have someone else rush to get the product out. Was just an over all HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience!!! I don’t understand how 50 $ and some highlights gets to 200 $!!! If you want good service SCREW THIS PLACE!!! It’s a joke!

This place is phenomenal. I was way overdue for a cut and color. My previously bleached blonde had at least 6 in of grow out. Upon entering the young lady who. greated me was so kind and sweet. My apt was with Kandie who I’ve seen before and is the only person I let touch my hair. I had no clue what colors I was interested in. But she was so patient and helped me find a more manageable color for my wallet. Something that won’t look bad if I cant come back right away. While I was getting cut the manager I believe came over and he was so kind and helpful. Giving her some sweet tips on my cut and how to make it lay different to acheve the look she was going for. She learned a cool trick and I walked away with what I think is the most flattering cut and color I’ve ever had. She’s always done an exceptional job. She just keeps getting better and better. Another gentleman came over and was so cool and super funny. On my way out a lady getting her hair cut stopped to look at my hair and just loved it. I will absolutely be back again and tell everyone I know about this little spot.

The owner’s son who is the manager gave me a horrible haircut!
It wasn’t at all what we discussed, he admitted it was much shorter than what we talked about, then he cuts himself. The bandage wouldn’t stay on and he got angrier and angrier. He became flustered and told me my hair would grow back. I’ve been wearing hats for a week since I left the salon. I called to see if they would give me a refund or a gift card to another salon and the owner told me to grow up!
I am contacting the better business bureau.
I have never had such bad service anywhere else. I’m completely dumbfounded how they can continue as a business.

i would never go any where else. been going there for over 25 years. it’s so nice to be able to go in sit in the chair and not have to say a thing, and rick just rocks his magic. and have been happy each and every time. thanks rick…

I have been coming to Barclays for several years now and am always happy with my cuts and colors from owner/​stylist Ryan. The reception staff is always friendly and accommodating as well. This is my favorite salon.

I called in as a new client and was scheduled with Mary-​Michael. She did a fantastic job. Took the time to make sure everything was right, great to talk to. Great experience all the way around. Highly recommend!

I am from Florida, so i don’t have a favorite hair salon. I thought i would give this one a try, i knew it wasn’t cheap. But It was for an important event so i went for it.
The people are rude. there is not much more to describe them.
I went for a regular blow drying, and then flat iron. when i got there, i thought i would get my nail polish removed and possibly a clear polish. Didn’t want them to do anything more. so i asked how much, hoping they said 5 or something. They told me i would have to pay for a regular manicure… right there is when i should’ve left.
But i didn’t.
The lady called me in, and started with my hair. An hour later. she left it puffy and wavy. it was horrible. then she said she didn’t have time to do a flat iron. (Which she needed to do in order to fix her mess)… because she had another appointment. i told her do what you can. But seriously. never ever going back there.
I don’t remember how much they charged me, it was around 50 to 60 dollars, for something i could have done better myself.
I paid, and left. stopped at Walgreens and bought nail polish remover. Once i got home, my puffy hair was worse than how i went into the salon, and i had to flat iron it myself.
Worst. Experience. Ever.
Good thing i found a better hair salon, the women are nice, and welcoming. They did my hair, and charged me 25. I was thrilled with the results, i left a nice tip. now, whenever i am in Everett, i go to the better hair salon, and avoid, at all cost, the Barclays.

I have been going to this salon for years and they are fantastic!!!
