I’m so glad they’ve extended their hours, so I can head back anytime for the best pickles in the world! I have been here several times and now have tried all the appetizers and several sandwiches. The crab cake special this weekend was amazing and I heard it might be added to the regular menu soon. I love the wings and the potato balls. Everyone loves the onion rings, but since I don’t eat them I’ll take their word for it. This week I tried the chicken parm sandwich and loved it. The sauce was so fresh and the chicken was moist. It’s huge, so I had leftovers for the next day. I always opt for the house made chips and dip them in the house made ketchup. So good! I’m excited about the new beer and wine menu that includes two Everett beers!

I work right next to Kirby’s and as a result I’m there pretty often. It is by far one of my favorite places to eat when I’m in Everett. The staff is crazy nice, the food is always fresh and interesting. As other reviewers mentioned, everything is homemade. I’m really looking forward to getting some of the pickles for my house! I think one of my favorite things about Kirby’s by far(besides the awesome food), is that the staff really puts a lot of thought into the menu and also bends over backwards to accommodate any requests. Even weird ones, like BLT without the B, because vegetarians like fried green tomatoes too. They’ll even make veggie versions of their soup… which is ridiculously rare. Made to order soup pretty much never happens in restaurants. It definitely also helps that their prices are amazing for the quality.

Don’t let the front windows stop you from enjoying this gem. After driving by Kriby’s daily and finally checking out some reviews on Unilocal,my boyfriend and I went in today for lunch. The pickle platter was awesome. This was the main reason my boyfriend had agreed to go in the first place. We ended up also buying a pound of the half sour spears. The hummus with roasted garlic, roasted red peppers and pita chips was my favorite. The hummus was full of flavor and a nice thick and chunky consistency. We split the corned beef sandwich. Juicy, tasty, and filling are just a few words to describe this bad boy. The slaw and homemade chips were a perfect fit. After splitting all three plates it was just enough food. We will be returning. Probably more often since they will be carrying local craft beers soon!

I’ve tried Kirby’s Kitchen a few times and each time the food has been incredible. The fact that every single ingredient in a sandwich is made fresh makes everything delicious. Between me and my husband we’ve tried the buffalo wings, turkey sandwich, cuban sandwich and the hummus platter. The buffalo wings come 6 to a serving and they are so fresh and the sauce is so flavorful I want my own order next time. No sharing! The turkey sandwich is literally Thanksgiving between bread. The cuban sandwich is delicious. The pork and ham are always tender, moist and flavorful. The hummus is on my top 5 list. The roasted garlic is the perfect side for the hummus. I wish they had more chips and maybe a little more salt on the chips but that is just being picky. It’s almost a bad thing this place is so close to me. I won’t ever make a sandwich at home again. :)

Read about this place in Improper Bostonian and then saw it on Groupon, so had to check it out. Ignore the fussy window décor that makes it look like an antiques shop and go right in for tasty homemade eats. We had the hummus plate that comes with homemade bread crisps, roasted red peppers, and roasted garlic. A big portion and the hummus is lemony and has a nice rustic texture. We tried two sandwiches, the open-face turkey and the fried green tomato BLT. All of the ingredients were fresh, the bread was homemade, and the BLT came with a house-made pickle which was great. Definitely coming back to order the pickle plate. Go support local business and get good food at very reasonable prices!

First time here and I really enjoyed it. Food was good and the prices are very reasonable. I’m told there will be beer and wine here soon too. Great spot for a lunch or early dinner. Definitely will be coming back again.

Nice little restaurant in the middle of Everett! House-made pickle platter was excellent and the Saturday special of island creek oysters was incredible. All food was made to order and it shows! Quality was superb. Definitely coming back to try the local brews once everything is set up and other treats from the menu! Highly recommended!

I have been wanting to try this place. So I called in and ordered a turkey sandwich and dill pickles. If your in a hurry I recommend calling in your order. The turkey sandwich was awesome, all the components went together well and you could tell they really put thought into the meal. It was the type of meal you could eat regularly and not get sick of. The prices are very reasonable, given the quality. The only thing that was off was that the pickles still tasted like cucumbers, hopefully it was a fluke.

This place is fantastic! they make all their own everything! The pickles are awesome, and the fried mashed potatoe balls are so radical! it’s a family run place and so you feel like part of the family when you walk in. they make awesome pickles, but thats not all! my friend had the fried green tomato blt, my other friend had the cuban, and I had the thanksgiving sandwich. we all shared and it was awesome. we even took some pickles home! check it out!

I stopped in Kirbys today. For starters the place is very welcoming. Everyone was very friendly and the food was great! I was impressed by the homemade ketchup and fresh bread for my burger. Im no restaurant critic, but if you are looking for a fantastic place to eat in Everett, try this place out. Ill be back

They make their own ketchup. More on that in a minute. What may be a passable Everett storefront holds a completely homestyle approach to soup and sandwiches that’s far out of place in its current locale. Expecting counter service, we were met with a pleasant setup of flowered place settings and two-sided menus. She ordered the open face turkey sandwich with cranberry stuffing and sage gravy, while I opted for the Cubano($ 7). Extremely important to note: While your order may take a minute or 4, don’t sweat it — everything is made to order. This said, some items, like the housemade potato chips, emerged with golden laurels. My Cuban could use a little work(the bread should not be a dry, white Tuscan playoff and where’s the Swiss?), while her turkey sandwich ruled the school. Loads of pulled dark meat, cranberry stuffing and an herbed gravy, sided with those housemade chips, was a steal at $ 7. Service is amazing, with every member of the staff looking to accommodate whatever you may need, and with time-honored tradition.

I was in the area and checked this place out. Everett is a sea of sub shops and pizza places. So a place of this caliber opening up in such an environment has to be a good thing. The fact that the food is so damn good actually makes it a GREAT thing. Plus the place has character. The prices are so moderate that I wasn’t expecting the portions to be so big and ended up ordering a lot of food. I tried the mushroom soup, the hummus plate, the pickle plate and the cubano sandwich. Then I basically had to crawl back to the car afterwards. Everything was fantastic. The place was pretty busy, yet the service was still attentive and friendly. I realize they had just opened but it really seemed liked they genuinely cared about what the customers thought of everything. Next time I go back I am trying the turkey sandwich. Apparently it’s like Thanksgiving between 2 slices of bread. One important detail about this place is that they make EVERYTHING fresh. The bread, the pickles and even the ketchup were made in house. I think the only thing they didn’t actually do was slaughter the pig for my sandwich. I plan to make a few more visits here.

Hubby and I made the trek from Salem to Everett today to try out Kirby’s Kitchen and see what all the fuss was about… and I feel like we’ll be adding some more mileage to our car heading here for lunch or dinner on the weekends! We basically had to be rolled out of here today! Kirby’s is small, but roomy and bright inside with tasteful décor and a happy-to-serve-you staff. I wish I could remember our waitress’ name, she was fantastic and checked on us every few minutes to see if there was anything we needed. Kirby’s menu is small but plentiful, and they seem to be experts at every dish on the menu. The prices are fantastic and the portions are huge. Hubby & I had a hard time deciding on what to get because everything looked so good, so I think we ended up ordering about half the menu! We started with the hummus plate and the pickle plate, both were phenomenal. The pickle plate had maybe 10 pickles, a few each of maybe 3 different styles, and also came with pickled cauliflower and pickled celery(which was awesome, it tasted like pickled stuffing. I’m not sure my hubs got to try it since I ate it so fast). The hummus plate came with house made pita chips, roasted red peppers, roasted garlic, and a creamy lemony house made hummus. You would not have wanted to kiss me after eating that! We both ordered soups– Hubs got the mushroom soup and I got the Cioppino which came with grilled homemade bread. Another reviewed mentioned this but I want to echo it as well, these are not your average cups of soup– these are serious whole-meal bowls of soup! My cioppino was delicious, the broth was fresh and the seafood fresh. It had a little spice to it, and was perfectly flavorful. Hubby really enjoyed his shroom soup as well. Hubby also got a Cubano with house made chips and house made ketchup, and talked about the chips the whole way home! Other notable menu items that I didn’t get to try were the clam chowder, the turkey sandwich, the homemade fries & onion rings, the israeli couscous salad, and the PB&J. The best part about Kirby’s is the freshness of the food. Everything is made in house from the PB&J on their PB&J, to the ketchup, bread, pasta, chips and pickles. You name it. I think they are planning on opening a small market in the store so you’ll be able to buy bread, jam, Peanut butter, pickles, etc to take home with you. I think I can live on those pickles. Overall, really impressed, especially given I think Kirby’s has only been open 2 weeks or so! It’s a great little lunch place and I’m looking forward to when they get their liquor license so I can have a glass of local beer with my dinner as well.

Kirby’s Kitchen recently opened in Everett, which is not a place I generally go. But for this menu I made the trip. Ok, I’ll be fair, I had my fiancé make the trip to get some take-out. The Potato Ball appetizer is completely fantastic and served with a generous portion of sour cream, thank you very much. There is nothing worse than running out of sour cream. Panko crusted and lightly deep fried potato balls. Sign me up! We also tried the hummus which was really good and served with some very nice house made pita chips. My fiancé and I both got the Roast Turkey sandwich, which is like Thanksgiving but without the annoying relatives… and best of all, it’s topped with a potato ball! Can you tell I liked the potato balls? Choice of side, I had him get fries, while I got chips, so we could share… both house made and both equally good. We were dipping everything in that hummus. The house made bread in the sandwich was great too, thick enough that it didn’t completely sog out under the weight of the turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and gravy, but not so thick that it was just too much. Overall, the prices are great, and the portions as expected. We will definitely be visiting Kirby’s again. I can’t wait to try to the house made peanut butter and jelly.
