Poulsbo RV

I wouldn’t buy a tent from this dealership. My husband and I have given some thought to buying an RV. We decided to look at the options Poulsbo offered. After arriving we attempted to look at the variety of RV’s only to find that everything was locked. The RV’s outside of the fenced area and inside of the fenced area were all locked. No sales person ever looked our way, they walked past us. We asked to see Class A, Class C and 5^th wheel trailers. The salesman acted as if we were interrupting him. He actually took us to a Fifth wheel, unlocked it told us he was going back into the office. This happened to be on Sunday ⁶⁄₁₂ when they were having a barbecue… maybe he was afraid he would miss out on the food. We are going to buy a diesel Class A but Poulsbo will not be getting any of our money. This treatment of potential buyers is inappropriate and unacceptable.
Thank you for the response Randall but our experience was so bad and the salesman so unprofessional that we will take our business elsewhere. There is no excuse for keeping your units locked and then treating potential customers — who are willing to spend upward of $ 200K — as though they are an imposition. As much as I would like to buy locally we’re heading south and will buy our new 40 foot class A there. You had your chance you blew it.

Service scheduling is a nightmare… If i was retired and had an entire day to sit waiting for my RV it would be fine. No flexibility to even drop off unit early the morning of scheduled service. Buyer beware of any roof replacement. Poulsbo RV mandates you to bring your rig every three months following this service or my warranty is voided. Unfortunately for me, I am not willing to take a day off from work every three months to have my new roof inspected. To add to this, the front window sill was replaced two years ago is already leaking. I have given up trying to schedule an a oil change. Too bad I bought a oil change punch card I cant use.

We were very pleased with the service that we received at this location. They fixed many issues that the previous service dealer did not.

We purchased a 2016 Forrest River Cascade last week and the experience was fantastic. Everything went well from working with our salesman Steve, our F&I guy Phil, the tech who did our walk around, Jason, and finally the parts guy Darrell. Will recommend all our friends and family to visit Poulsbo RV.

Let’s be honest here people. You do not go onto an rv lot because you are just looking. Not in the Internet age. Unless you don’t have a smart phone/​internet or computer.
All dealers big and small double or triple the trade-​in price they give you. If you paid full MSRP then shame on you for not doing your homework before you got there.
As for inspections… Yes the unit should be in working order and ready for its intended use that it was built for (merchantability).
It is still your responsibility to walk thru and check that every system works to your satisfaction. After all it’s your RV and your money. Common sense needs to be applied here!!!
I researched a komfort 23fs for a few months… Prices, build quality, amenities/​floor plan, reviews by purchasers, extra…
Viewed many 5ers on Craigslist/​websites and print that people claimed were in excellent condition. Then upon inspection found this was not true.
Seen the model I was looking for at Poulsbo Rv in Everett, wa. MSRP was exactly what it said on NADA RV guide. Which I did not pay.
Went to the lot and climbed all over/​under the 5^th wheel. Then found a salesman named Mark to get the keys and check inside. It was clean, in excellent condition inside and out with normal wear for the age.
I hooked my truck up to make sure I could tow it. Batteries were discharged and could not check electrical system. Everything else worked.
Made them a reasonable offer based on similar unit prices. They accepted.
All salesmen and staff were excellent and easy to deal with. Gave them a deposit and would give the rest upon delivery and inspection. Delivery inspection went well. This is where you check everything to make sure it works and ask lots of questions of the tech going thru all the systems with you.
Would buy from them again. Was a very pleasant experience.
Would give them a 5… Except they had a typo on paper work… That I had to fix for them!!!

Stopped in to buy some parts for our Rv. Parts dept was not friendly or knowledgable … They had a coupon on Unilocal which they refused to honor. Not cool. Will find somewhere else next time.

The manager, Randy stepped up and helped get the repairs done to my trailer. There was some miscommunication between Randy, the parts guys, and Forest River, I was very frustrated with several aspects of this entire transaction. Randy worked hard to make me happy, that included pick up and delivery of my trailer, and they even detailed it before delivering it back. I am happy with the repairs and the extras they did. As a small business owner, I am aware of the importance in keeping a customer happy. The end result is my RV is repaired and clean.

I am disappointed to see some of these reviews. We continue to take our RV for service on a regular basis (Fall and Spring) and their customer service is always great! They are always attentive to my needs and are genuine. I always feel like a special part of the Poulsbo community when I am there! Our experience with Poulsbo RV in Everett has been outstanding over the past 3 years!
When we purchased our travel trailer, the staff and management were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They made the experience easy and stress free.
Recently, we had a minor accident with the trailer that resulted in body damage. Their auto body team was quick to get us in and the quality of the work was exceptional. It looks like the damage never happened.
We highly recommend Poulsbo RV in Everett to anyone who is looking to buy and/​or service an RV!

Just traded off a 2007 Denali 5^th wheel and was told it had water damage. Got all of 6k trade in and now listed for 20k on the site. I hope future purchaser reads this first!
Update: After contact with dealer and explanation of the trade they did have to wholesale it out. Just want to keep it all on the up and up. Hopefully it is as it is and no one ends up with a POS water damaged unit.

I just bought my Tiffin Motorhome in November. At 1^st I was thrilled with the service. I loved my salesperson, and I seemed to get a good price. They sent me camping in it for a night to find things that needed to be fixed. I’m a 1^st time RVer so I wasn’t exactly sure what I was looking for, but I did my best. The addressed all of my concerns promptly. They claimed to have the best RV techs and insisted everything had been looked at and inspected. Now I’ve only had the RV for 10 months, and I feel like it’s being repaired constantly. I understand it’s older (2008) so things will need repaired. That’s expected. However, this last repair has me a little irritated. 3 days after I got it back from Poulsbo, the slideout leaked. Due to a faulty seal, water got into the slideout ceiling and leaked through the light over the table. Water was all over the table and the floor. Because it’s a general wear and tear/​maintenance issue, my warranty doesn’t cover it. I was told it was «nobody’s fault» that this seal was bad and that it’s not even a seal that they generally look at. To see the seal one must get a flash light and look above the slideout but below the slideout cover/​topper. The total cost for repair is over $ 3,000!!! I haven’t even had it a year! I feel like it’s way too soon to have seals going bad. We oil/​lubricate all the other seals as instructed. Perhaps I’m being to harsh with this review but after replacing the vacuum, fixing the toilet, having the refridgerator looked at 2x (and finally fixed the 2^nd time), replacing thermostat sensors, fixing a lock on the bay door, fixing the holding tank that was falling through the floor, and now this in less than a year… I’m kind of over it. I’m a travel nurse, and I live in it. Taking it to the shop this often is more than an inconvenience. Now Tiffin has said if I drive it to Alabama they’ll look at it and MAYBE help with the expense of fixing it. Who has time to drive to Alabama?!? I may look into another RV repair shop for a 2^nd opinion. I had planned on possibly upgrading in a few years, but now I may just sell this one and be done.

Final update: I have been able to confirm that Poulsbo RV did finally completely clean out the black tank after the second time they had our RV and that the gauges are now reading properly. However, I’m still not sure why the problem wasn’t fixed correctly the first time. I’ve also been contacted by the general manager more times regarding this Unilocal review than I was ever contacted regarding the actual service on the RV.
I have added an additional star on my update due to Poulsbo fixing my RV the second time, but I have to say that I find it telling that the chief concern seems to be the review and trying to have it removed. One would think that in a service-​oriented business, the main concern would be immediately rectifying a mistake and then trying to earn back the customer’s trust. Rather, Poulsbo wanted to correct their problem in exchange for removal or re-​evaluation of my review. The problem should have been corrected simply because they failed to perform the job they were paid to do. I still would not ever return to the service department and still would not recommend to anyone else.

I have dealt with all the people that you mentioned plus some and even people at the Mount Vernon store. At this point there is noting you can do for me to change my mind or opinion. Issues that i have had were either not fixed or poorly fixed to the point that they are back to the condition before i brought it in for repairs. I will make the repairs to my rig as needed or find a different dealer to do the work. It’s too bad that it took a bad review on Unilocal to get someone to listen. It is too little too late for this unsatisfied customer.

I am on vacation here in Everett WA by myself and my 2 dogs. I drove my 40 foot Monaco Diplomat. It was hot for WA so I have been running my generator to power my AC units. I shut down the generator last night around 1:30 a.m. but when I got up this morning to power it on again, it wouldn’t start. I checked the oil, antifreeze and started the engine to recharge the batteries. Still nothing. A friend walked me through finding the error code on the generator as it is Sunday morning and no one is open. Code 19 on my Onan generator which wasn’t good.
At 10:00 a.m. I called the first local business that is certified to service Onan generators. Sean, the sales guy answered and unfortunately, service is closed on Sunday but will open on Monday morning. He asked me a few questions and I had tried all. He asked me if my generator made any clicking sounds and I said yes. He said my coach batteries are too low to start it. He told me to go to my dash and press the battery boost at the same time as the generator button. It started! He told me to leave it running for about 4 hours to charge my batteries. I am so impressed! Saved me a real headache!
I checked my batteries on my coach and I didn’t see any water in them so I added water. Most likely will need new coach batteries cause I live in Arizona and that really takes a toll on them. Thank you Sean! My dogs and I will not cook to death today thanks to you!

I see the response from Randy. I must say that’s a nice spin on the situation. Lets just be honest here. It’s helping you more then it’s helping the local business. Thanks but no thanks.

I would rate it less if I could. I was shopping for a used RV on a budget and had been pre-​approved by my credit union. Through one thing and another, I ended up talking with the sales manager (the salesman I had been dealing with was at another store). After I looked at a 1995 Holiday Rambler on the lot fairly extensively, he told me 3 things: 1) he would consider the sale of the Vacationer a «cash» deal– I would go get the check and bring it back to him, then do my own leg work for the title. He did not offer me a choice and said clearly that I was getting terms from my credit union he wasn’t familiar with, even though my credit union had assured me he does business with them all the time and would know all the terms. 2) He does not do pre-​delivery or point of delivery inspections on older vehicles. When I expressed that I was simply interested in making sure the major systems were working before I bought it. He said «Well, then be sure you’re comfortable before you drive it off the lot because the only person checking that will be you and [the salesman]». 3) He told me he did not know what the compressor in the drivers side forward storage was (my salesman didn’t either). He did not offer to ask the service people, he did not offer to find out, he simply said «I have no idea» after he looked at it.
These statements told me two things: a) that he was not interested in helping me purchase the RV and he did not want to waste time on someone who was shopping on a budget b) He has NO IDEA of the condition of a vehicle for sale on his lot and he did not want to find out. It floors me that Poulsbo RV would put up a vehicle for sale that they HAD NOT CHECKED OUT to ascertain the major systems were working, and then tell me IT COSTS TOO MUCH MONEY FOR THEM TO CHECK. How can you offer an RV for sale that you don’t even know if it works on a basic level? It’s either that or he knows good and well something is wrong with it and is hoping to pass it off on some unsuspecting buyer. Either way, its deplorable. And it was painfully obvious that he did not want me to buy the RV. Since the store can’t even tell me whether or not the RV is in running condition (the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON by the way), it takes away any incentive I have for shopping at a dealership. The point of paying a dealer’s inflated price is to get a vehicle that works well. I am better off shopping on Craig’s list after all.
I know they will reply with all kinds of excuses and reasons, but I am posting the true story. Ignore their BS reply and take your business somewhere else if you are shopping for a used RV!

I am downgrading because we brought our trailer in, it needed a new fridge door. They replaced it, we went camping and the fridge wouldn’t go under 50 degrees. We discovered an inch gap on the hinge side of the fridge, you could see in the fridge! So big hassle we had to bring it back in. It was installed incorrectly. So checking your work might be a good idea. Just a thought…

My husband and I recently spent time with Randy Edwards, the manager at Poulsbo RV in Everett. He had reached out to us personally after we had a less than positive experience with one of his salesmen during a brief visit to their lot the week before. Impressed that he took customer satisfaction so seriously, we decided to go back, meet with Randy and take another look. This second visit surpassed our expectations! Randy was knowledgeable, informative and took the time to show us a variety of RV’s, some multiple times. We truly appreciated his honesty and respectful approach to our many questions and concerns.
We had just begun to look at RV’s when we met with him so did not yet know what would suit our needs. During the course of our conversation he asked pertinent questions, listened to what we had to say and helped us define what might work best for us given our current lifestyle. There is a large inventory there so we were able to see a variety of Class A’s, Class C’s and trailers while we considered the pro’s and con’s of each type. The doors of the units were all locked but we did not sense any reluctance on his part to show us whatever we wanted to see. Though it is nice to be able to go in an out of unlocked units unattended as is the case at other lots, we felt very satisfied. We did not end up purchasing during that visit but did receive a very fair price on a unit that we were considering. It was nice not to feel pressured or given a «sales pitch».
Because of Randy’s professionalism, product knowledge and great customer service we highly recommend Poulsbo RV to anyone looking for an RV of any type, new or used. They will even take all sorts of things in trade… not just cars or other RV’s! If you have been there before and were not happy with the service, try it again and ask for Randy. We are glad we did. Customer satisfaction is truly his number one priority. Thanks Randy for making our venture into the world of recreational vehicles a pleasant one!

We just wanted to give you a formal thank you for everything you did for us. From the negotiating over the phone, to coming in on your days off to accommodate us and really roll out the Red Carpet. We truly felt like a true customer treated with the best in service and sales. It’s unfortunate that the Kent store had lost a sale but in the end we got to work with the best team to help us get the RV of our dreams. We can’t wait to go on our first trip and already have it planned somewhere nearby.
I must give Mike a special thank you for getting back with me promptly on the phone. Taking my inquiry seriously and listening to our needs. It’s because of him we continued to pursue getting the Class A through Poulsbo RV. After much negotiations and discussions with Mike, we knew that we just had to give him our business. Mike did an amazing job working with us and even pairing us up with Sean who is by far one of the best RV salesmen that we have ever encountered — and we have met a lot! Sean was extremely knowledgeable in the product and did not in any way try to pressure us into the sale. He was very informative and even came to meet up with us at a different location — on his day off — to give us the formal tour and test drive. To top it off he treated us to Lunch after our final signing of papers. Thank you for the Chinese Sean!
Phil was also amazing. Nothing great then working with someone who is from the islands like us. He truly gave us his Hawaiian spirit and even topped it off with his Kamaaina rates. Playing some Kealii Riechel in the background and talking about the islands always warms our hearts.
The best part of all of this is everyone on your team fought for us till the end… and we really appreciate it! We aren’t ones that usually write thank you letters or even complain. From whatever negativity we got from the Kent store — Everett store definitely redeemed Poulsbo RV. Thank you again for everything. The fact that you were all so honest, to the point, to the numbers, willing to work with us, genuine and kind — make us proud to say we bought our RV from your Everett Location. I went into the Everett dealership to check out the Mercedes Roadtrek conversions in person since I had been researching them online. We were met by a salesman who wanted to sit down and determine my needs for me. I informed him of what I wanted to see and he asked me «are you aware of how much those cost?»
I should have walked away right then but I was already there so I stuck with it. He pretty much forced me to give him my name address and phone number before he would even show me anything.
We had plenty more irritating exchange where he was trying to size me up before he got up and said «let me speak with my manager to see what I can show you.»
I’m not sure who these sorts of pathetic sales tactics work against but apparently I’m not the target audience. I finally was allowed to see the rv I wanted to see and then one that I did not want to see. I won’t be buying either one but if I did, it would not be from Poulsbo RV.
