Today I bought a great car from a great bunch of people. The dealer I worked with (Matt) made the process smooth and easy! I have purchased many cars in my lifetime and this was hands down the best experience I have ever had buying a car. To the people at The Car Connection — it was a pleasure doing business with you and I look forward to recommending you and doing business again. :)

My daughter bought a car from them and the one week later the exhaust fall off the manifold. Then the following week she was driving down the road and the oil light came on so she stop and bought oil and started it and all the oil sprayed out all over the ground and also the shift cable broke. We called the lot and had it towed to them and waited a week for them to tell us the motor is blown I asked him why it took a week to get in a car and start it to tell her it was blown and their answer was «well he had to put oil in it first» wow. I called to talk to them about this and they basically said my daughter run the car out of oil. So I asked if they check all fluids in their vehicles before they are put out on the lot and he said yes we do. So explain to me how a car runs out of oil in one month when there is no signs of blowing smoke? His answer was «somehow she ran it out».
So I would NEVER buy a car from them, yes I know they are used vehicle’s but to try to cover up their mistake by putting the blame on us instead of being apologetic about the issue and admitting they made a mistake is very poor customer service. And yes my daughter learned a lesson about not trusting a car salesman no matter how nice they seem.

It’s a bummer I can’t leave 0 stars for this craphole of a place. Avoid at all costs. They will take advantage of you, even the disabled. My sister is disabled and they convinced her to trade in her $ 10,000 WRX for a car they claimed was worth $ 4,000. It was actually worth $ 700 and the wiper blades and airbags were all messed up. You may say well your sister signed the papers, well my sister is very obviously disabled and they very obviously took advantage of her. This place strives on being unethical to its customers. Hopefully a report to the BBB will help get this place in line.

So surprised this place has not been shut down

Over priced vehicle, no bargain, failed to give us the key for the doors $ 180, spare key for the engine another $ 80 they said they would produce, I paid for at a dealership. Less than 300 hundred miles brakes made such horrible sound I took it in for repairs, front brake & rotors replacement $ 800. The brake and rotors were so gone, apparently fixed enough to leave the lot on a test drive and deceive. Buyer beware allot of caution do get a second opinion $ 60 investment for a mechanic would have saved allot of cost. Vehicle was very clean. The car connection did not keep there word.

I’d give them 0 stars if possible.
We bought a over priced escape from Tim.
6 months later the transmission went out and it’s been problem after problem. Just a money pit.
We learned our lesson don’t buy used cars from shady car lots.
seriously take your money else where, they have horrible customer service and once you drive off that lot it’s done!

After seeing the low ratings here I was skeptical, but I have nothing but good things to say about my experience.
Low pressure, helpful, and after short and reasonable negotiation I made off with a great price on a 2008 Honda Fit sport. Brandon was great to work with.
I did take the car to Carson Cars for a purchase inspection, where they confirmed what the Car Connection said (near perfect condition).

I love these guys I first went there in 2003 I’ve bought my last 4 cars there and if i had any problems with my vehicles they are happy to help. I’ve referred family and friends over and over. I would highly recommend anyone to this used car dealership they are not too pushy and treat you like family.

This place is not playing by the rules. They will scam your ass as soon as you walk on the lot. If your deal starts to unravel and you have already taken the car off of the lot, and then they have you bring it back, these scumbags will tell you that you will NOT get your entire deposit back because they have to have it detailed again and they’re only giving you any money back because they are being «good» guys. They have been reported to the BBB and the Attorney General for this bull crap they call «business». It’s one thing to start the process of selling a vehicle to someone and have them fill out paperwork for it, but if there are any holes like no paystubs or way of verifying employment, maybe, MAYBE YOU DON’T LET THEM TAKE THE VEHICLE YOU’RE TRYING TO SELL THEM OFF OF THE LOT! Seems pretty reasonable to me. If anyone refers you to this crap hole, go down to Tacoma or Puyallup where there are REPUTABLE car dealers.

I was pushed extremely hard to get me to sign on the line to purchase a vehicle that was on the lot. This place is not somewhere I will ever return to again.

I purchased an S-​10 from these crooks 3 years ago. They misrepresented the truck. It had been in an accident that they didn’t disclose, it had major engine trouble that I had fixed. The transfer case was basically soup. They told me that the truck was in terrific shape but I’ve spent over $ 3000 getting it in terrific shape. I should have thought and called the state Attorney General and filed a complaint against these liars.
When I was bringing the truck home the check engine light came on. They had reset the computer to show no issues. When I had this checked out I had to replace the lower intake gasket, at a cost of $ 1000. I tried the four wheel drive when I got home and the transfer case wasn’t worth a crap. They had to know about this but still represented the truck as sound.
I found out when I got home that I had no tail lights, the wire harness was toast. They allowed an unsafe vehicle to leave the lot. They had to know about this. I should have checked but I unwisely trusted them.
When I was having a new exhaust put on the mechanic informed me that the serial number of the driver’s door did not match the S/​N of the truck. It had been replaced, along with the windshield and parts of the front end. They told me this truck had never been in an accident,“See it’s not on the Car Fax”.
They showed me a «Car Fax» that was quite obviously B.S. It disclosed absolutely nothing about the truck. These sphincters need to be shut down, arrested, and publicly flogged. I can not say enough bad things about these people without the censors blowing a gasket, like the one in my truck.
They claim they are not your typical used car dealer. A typical used car dealer is just dishonest. These people wrote a whole new book on how to screw people. DO NOT TRUST THEM OR BUY A CAR FROM THEM!!!
At the bottom of this review is a comment from The Car Connection. In it is a way for me to reply. I have done so, with my email address, and as yet (3÷3÷13) have not heard from them.
8÷19÷13 and they have removed their response to my critique without responding to my personal contact. Says a lot about these people.

I purchased a Volkswagen Golf from The Car Connection. Great experience! Although it wasn’t recent, I felt it needed to be mentioned. The salesman, Steve, is still there and I bought the car nearly three years ago. Highly suggest you talk to him if you find yourself on their lot :)
ANYWAY the actual purchasing was easy. This was my first time buying a car from a lot. Steve made it very easy and helped me get financed. I got a great deal and no complaints. The Golf has treated me great. 3 years and nearly 50k miles later and it has had no major issues. Just routine maintenance :)

Unless you like to be cheated and lied to, stay away from that place. The car I bought was advertised as «Flawless» even though during the first 5 minutes of the test drive I found 2 serious issues: the engine was running very cold and there was vibration at high speed.
I said I’d buy the car if these issues were fixed. They said they’d fix the temperature issue and look into the vibration.
A day later, they called to say the temperature issue was fixed but that the vibration was actually caused by the tires being worn. They offered (after a lot of negotiating) a $ 200 discount for the tires saying that if I don’t buy it, they’ll just replace the bad one with a cheap used one (!!!).
I accepted the discount and at the last minute they tried cheating me out of another discount that was offered on their website saying that the $ 200 included it. I stuck to my guns and ended up getting it.
When I was buying the car they included a total loss loan insurance without asking me and I had to ask them to reprint everything.
As soon as I got on the highway I noticed that the temperature issue was still not fixed. Also there was an oil leak causing burnt smell inside the cabin.
I called them back as soon as I got home and went back there next day. They refused to do anything about it unless I covered 100% of their cost of repair. I refused and told them I’d spend a lot of my spare time giving them the worst reputation I can on the internet and after they called the owner they said that they can either take the car back as they’d have no trouble reselling it as is to someone else (their words exactly) or they can split the cost with me 50 – 50.
I didn’t really want to accept because at this point I had no trust whatsoever in their ability to fix the issues but given the fact that I had no time to work on the car myself I ended up accepting. Also after going through all the hell and wasting all this time, I didn’t just want to abandon and give the car back.
$ 230 and a few days later I got the car back and nothing was repaired. The temperature issue is still there and the oil leak is still there. I had to pay $ 900 for a set of new tires and while doing that I discovered that the control arms are badly worn as well (requiring basically a full suspension rebuild). If I could go back in time I wish I took their offer to return the car so they could sell it to another sucker.
