This restaurant is probably deserving of four stars. I gave it five because there are so many reviews here that I think must’ve been posted by competition or people that are prejudice. I have gone to this burger place periodically for years and have always received excellent service. The Asian man who runs the restaurant has always been very generous always asking if I want more fries and making sure I have more soda when I’m eating in side the restaurant. The prices are very reasonable. The burgers are thin but there’s a variety of toppings and they are delicious. There about the same thickness a burger that you might find at Dick’s. The restaurant is a hole in the wall on Colby Avenue in Everett and is just as clean as any other burger place. Give the place a try and decide for your self. This restaurant is not deserving of many of the bad reviews it has received.

Have been trying restaurants around the area to see what’s good. CASHONLY. So make sure you have cash ready. Went in, place is fairly clean and the owner was the only one there; he took the orders, cooked the food and brought it out to us. He was a nice older asian guy; said the burgers, fries and milkshakes are good. We each got a basic burger and a chocolate shake to split. Regular burger is around $ 4, spendy if you want a dollar menu item off a fast food menu, but typical if you want a sit down restaurant. Patties are VERYTHIN. My burger wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t amazing. My fiancé loved his burger; he said it hit the spot. The milkshake was odd, either the ice cream was really old and full of ice crystals or the owner purposely blends his milkshakes with ice. It was very very icy, creamy, but icy. I would go back; want to try their different kinds of fries and see how the chicken strips are. We ate for about $ 5 a person; so not too bad on the wallet. The owner is a really nice guy that labeled our to go bags with which burger was which and made sure we knew there were napkins in each bag.

After reading mixed reviews, decided I had to try it to confirm, good or bad. I noticed the burgers were thin(like any delicious In-N-Out style burger should be). Upon walking in I noticed the huge sliding garage door seating spot, super cool and no where else has that sort of seating. PRICES: $ VERY inexpensive, whoever wrote that it’s expensive or overpriced is an ignorant fool. Prices are between 3 – 6 for burgers, that’s an insanely great deal. FOOD: 8⁄10 the fries were delicious thin cut fries. Burger was a bacon burger, taste was great! Albeit buns should be smaller because it’s a thin patty it would make the burger far more enjoyable Overall excellent and id recommend for a cheap, think burger. Owner is the employee making the food, very nice older Asian man.

Burger had a meat patty thinner than McDonald’s burgers. Prices are very high And wasn’t even asked what I wanted to drink. They just brought me a coke. A can of coke. Haha. Waste of money and my time

Had a great experience here. The guy running the show was competent and made our food quickly. He seemed attentive to us and that made it fantastic. Food was fair and plentiful. I really liked it because of the customer service!

Honestly, this is the best little burger place in Everett hands down! My husband went to this place all through high school and took me here when we started dating and I’m so glad he did! We have since been back multiple times. The hamburgers are delicious! It is hard to find a good quality burger and Z’s nailed it! The fries are also good and the milkshakes are fantastic! Z’s prices are also really good so you won’t be disappointed in that area either. So, if you are craving a delicious burger and are in Everett, Z’s in an absolute must so skip the overpriced chain burger joints and head in to Z’s! The owner is also super nice and personable.

Average burger place. Big buns. Little patties. Limited Saturday hours — 11 – 2:30 p and when I came in right after 2 the owner seemed put out to serve me.

What the heck happened? I have eaten here for years; always yummy, clean, priced reasonably. I work in downtown Everett, and me and the ladies at my new place of employment go out to lunch every Monday. I finally talked them into going here for a burger. This was some time ago. I was appalled! The tables were all sticky and dusty; it seemed like no one had cleaned the place since the last time I’d been there a year prior. I hope you have cleaned up the place. I might bring myself to try it again, especially since I have enjoyed it for years, but wow! If I do, I will give an update.

I like this place, only been once though. Heading back there today for lunch. I order from here for a special Friday office lunch and everyone seems to like it. Sure its not a gourmet burger, but its a lot better than your typical fast food. Last time I had the California Burger and it was yummy! Although it was HUGE! Onion rings were great too. I’m not going to say its the best burger place, but its up there with Shake-n-Go up the street. I say give it a try…

Yet another enigma of Everett. The only thing I’ll give Z’s is the burger tasted like it was an average back yard BBQ burger. Nothing special. The man who took my order was very nice too. But, everything else was just bad. The sanitation of the restaurant was very poor. The fries I got were freezer burnt and the ketchup packets tasted kinda out of date. My friend said his burger was greasy and his belly churned the rest of the day. I will not be returning to this establishment.

I wish I had read the reviews before I can here for lunch. I don’t even know where to start, the food was not good at all, the burger had little hard pieces in it and the fries were the frozen kind from a bag. But what was more disturbing is the condition this place is in, I sat wondering if the Health dept. has been there recently? Needless to say I will never return, disgusting all the way around.

This place is run by an asian man who is very stingy with everything. Portions are small, burger patties smaller than a McD’s small burger patty, the soda machine is way out of calibration, and the owner seems to hate anyone that wants anything more than to quickly give your order and hand him the money. Go to Mikie’s for the best burgers in Everett!

Lousy service. Ordered chili cheese fries; got curly fries. Asked for chili and cheese on top to make it good; no dice. Milkshake had ice particles all through it. Burger was average. Avoid.

Ugh – bad burger, shake, AND mushrooms? I only reserve 1 star for places that have gotten me sick, and oddly enough I was so hoping this would happen here. How on earth do you make such a bad burger? Start with freezer burned cow, then fry until burnt, add 2 gallons of secret sauce(aka thousand island), place on stale bun with soggy vegetables, then overcharge. Next, serve«shake» — meaning soft serve complete with ice crystals(!) and low grade chocolate syrup so sickly sweet you cannot drink it. Finally, top it off with more freezer burn mushrooms, straight outta Sysco’s truck, and served with less pride than a defeated politcal candidate caught doing naughty things in a men’s room. Seriously? What is wrong with you?

This place is awful. Do not eat here. The meat is gross. The fries are worse. Don’t even get me started on the service and the man behind the counter that yells at everyone. He tells you where you can sit. He tells you how to eat. It’s just awful. He gets really, really mad when you say you want to eat there then change your mind to go. Just avoid this place.

Least amount of meat I’ve ever seen on a burger. Everything made from frozen. Won’t be coming back.

Having lived in Mukilteo for a few years now, I’ve always passed by Z’s Burgers on the road yet one sunny day I had the chance to stop in. The burgers are exactly how they should be: gigantic, greasy, loaded on cheese & mayo with oil squeezing out at every bite. The place gets packed & hectic during busy lunch hours, presumably from nearby Boeing & the ferry. I like the concept of ordering once you walk in, pay upfront, and sit where ever so that service is hassle free. There’s only one cook on duty so it’s going to take more than a few minutes. The menu is vast with all kinds of burgers with all the works, Hawaiian, Teriyaji, and even chili fries and hot dogs. The Italian sausage burger was delicious, full of porkiness that I hate to admit but do so shyly. Pork & fennel just go together so well that they should marry =)
