It’s been a couple years since I got a full set. I came in a couple of weeks ago to get a new full set and I come to find out S&D had changed owners and had all new people working there for the most part. I had the lady that owns the place do my acrylics for the first time in a couple years and they were great and I loved them! Just today I went to get them filled. I had a much younger girl do them. She came over to me picking out a polish and told me she was ready but in a very rushed fashion, as if I couldn’t pick a color fast enough. Well I sat down and she got started. When she was finished a few of my nails were different sizes than the others. Very disappointed. And to top it all off, I payed with my debit card. She took the card to swipe it and then came back and handed it to another younger guy that works at the shop for him to do it. They come back with my receipt and I sign. Luckily I looked at my back account v fore I left. They had swiped the card 3DIFFERENTTIMES and charged me 3x the amount I owed. Currently waiting for my money back. I under stand things happen but you shouldn’t let the girl that doesn’t know how to run the card machine take your card and«try» to use it. Very unsatisfied.

I have a mixed review. The people were very nice and helpful. In fact, they opened 30-minutes early, so I could get a morning appointment … what wonderful customer service. My pedicure was normal. But, I was disappointed and extremely surprised that they removed my previous gel manicure with an electric rotary file. I get gel rather than acrylic manicures because I don’t want my nail bed filed with a electric rotary file. My normal place uses plastic clips holding acetone soaked cotton to remove the gel manicure while I’m getting my pedicure. They had me soak my hands in a liquid during my pedicure but it didn’t remove the gel … So, they filed it off.

I was visiting from out of town and I needed my nails done badly. The guy that did my nails was friendly and took his time to make sure that it was done properly. Their prices were very reasonable as well. I would’ve given them 5 stars but although he did a good job on my nails, he didn’t really touch my cuticles.

I got a gel manicure and pedicure during my visit. The technician was a male, nice, but his inability to speak English made it difficult to communicate the services I wanted. He cut way too deep into my cuticles on my hands and feet :(which resulted in 4 of my fingers bleeding. He did a great job on my nails after butchering my cuticles. Overall, I am not sure if I will return.

First time to this salon. I’m pretty picky about how I like my nails went in with good expectations based on other reviews. Guy who did my nails went above and beyond expectations. He even picked out a different brand but same color of gel polish I wanted because the other one«shrunk» as he put it on. He even explained the matte to me which I tried and love! Slight imperfections(mainly some polish around my nail which will easily come clean) overall pretty satisfied! Pedicure felt amazing. Pedicurist was pretty soft spoken but she tried to make small talk and did a great job. Will return. Price a little more than what I usually pay but it was worth it. Had a gel polish change on my hand(they took off existing gel polish) and shaped nails(no manicure) and a spa pedicure with regular polish $ 55 **update After three days two of my nails chipped pretty badly. Mind you this is shellac and should last a couple weeks. Went back this morning and they fixed the two no problem no charge. I appreciate that!

This place is great. I see tony for my acrylics and Tracy for everything else! They are both amazing and it’s nice going to a place where they remember you as well. I will always go here. I highly recommend s&d nails. Every friend that I have sent has had a great experience as well.

Just moved to the area and read reviews from several places before trying this place. Walked in and was immediately(pleasantly) greeted. They placed me in a pedicure chair where I did have to wait for a few minutes, but they were quite busy — didn’t mind the wait because the massaging chairs are quite nice! My nail tech didn’t say much and when he did he was very soft-spoken, which is perfect because I like to enjoy my pedi and quiet time(-: He did an EXCELLENT job and was very attentive to me and my nails(I have a pet peeve about having my nails done and the nail tech carrying on conversations with other nail techs or being on their phones the whole time). Needless to say, I think I’ve found my new salon and nail tech — HIGHLYRECOMMEND!!!

S&D is clean and professional. If you’re looking for quality work, you should try it here! Tee is the ONLY person I trust doing my nails(And eyebrows) But I can’t imagine someone else being bad. Tee is excellent!

I just moved to Dayton 2 weeks ago. As I don’t know anyone here yet, I relied on Unilocal reviews to chose a place for a pedicure. The wait was not too long for a Saturday early afternoon(5 minutes). The guy that gave me the pedicure did not(or barely) speak English. I’m a foreigner as well, so I don’t usually have a problem with that. Bit at least you need to understand the cusyomer. If you dont know what a hot towels is… well…So he started by cutting my nail. Told him they are too close to my skin and pay attention. As he couldn’t understand a word, I showed him. Of course he nipped my skin twoce. Then he filed them(including my skin) with something that was vloser to sandpaper than nail file. This time took my skin off. Never put the cuticle softner on my toes, after rubbed them with lotion, never rinsed them with soap and water. Sprayed a little alcohol and let it dry out, didn’t even wipe my toes. Then the paint job… ohh emm gee, the worst ever. Did not cover the whole. nail, it was bubbly… just really bad. VERY bad. I was sitted in a chair next to a lady and her daughter. It was her first time. there as well and not happy either. Needless to say, none of us will return for a crappy 30 dollars pedicure. I don’t even know why I tipped him…

I have been here a few times and I love it! Prices are great and everyone it’s very nice. I am getting my toes done now and the lady is so sweet and she is a perfectionist which I don’t mind haha. Only thing is she is super super quiet so I an having a hard time hearing her. Still this is my go to place for myself and my 4 year old who likes to come along with me and have her nails painted!

My gel french manicure and french pedicure with tip cost $ 80. That may be normal for r his area but I have had my nails done in several cities and states and that is really high.

Wow impressive service. I went for a nail fill. I highly recommend the tech Dan. He was very detailed and took the time to make sure my nails were perfect. I went here based on the recommendations. Glad I did. Great service and great atmosphere. Price is reasonable too.

Fabulous service, love my nails. The tech took his time with each nail and really got the shape and everything right. Cheaper than other nail salons in the area. Waiting area is warm, but it’s not the end of the world. What else do you expect on an 80° day? Overall very pleased.

Waiting area was very warm; the sun was blazing right through the windows. They don’t do color powder nails. The nail tech had a hard time understanding what I was asking for. When he finally got it, he did a good job but then three nails chipped within 24 hours which is very unusual for me.

I was really quite pleased with my experience here. It is clean, the staff is friendly and they watch The Price Is Right. My favorite show of all time. Any business that streams Drew Carrey is a winner in my book. Staff is typical of that at any of the local nail salons. I called to get directions and the guy who answered the phone was unable to give them. It made we wonder why he was answering the phone but I didn’t even go there. Price was pretty standard. I do like that they did not try and push add on services. I wanted a pedicure and that is what I got. I had some rough patches on my feet and the tech took the time to really work on them. My feet were as soft as new born baby’s bottom(I think) by the time we were done. I was happy with my experience here. It was nothing over the top but I will likely be back!

I have been to several nail salons in the area. This one is the best by far. Quality service for less than other places charge. It has a close proximity to a Starbucks and frequented by our local celebrity Dave Chappell and his family. The staff is friendly. You get a small savings if you get a manicure and pedicure at the same time and pay in cash.

Why do nail salons always seem to have an elaborate crystal chandelier? Same thing with the gaudy chandeliers at Chinese buffets? What’s that about? So that I know you are classy? Well now that I got that out… This place was pretty solid. I got a shellac polish, or gelish or gellac or gel polish. Whatever the kids are calling it these days. It was $ 15 and pretty solid. I am the exception to most ladykind in that I hate being in the nail salon. I am so impatient and do not feel like it is pampering, rather an unpleasant necessity, like the dentist. I hardly had to wait and had no appt. My guy was lightening fast and neat as could be! I spend most of my time watching the tech like a hawk, waiting for them to get a microgram of polish out of place, then I start panicking(all on the inside of course, wait: maybe this is why I don’t enjoy the experience). I didn’t even get to panic! Efficient, Effective and Flawless polish job! What does S&D stand for though? Search and Destroy? Stand and Deliver? Swipe and Deploy? Yeah, that one. Swipe my card and Deploy myself out into the world with my dry nails!

This has been my go to nail place for the past two years since moving to the area. The prices are pretty reasonable, and they offer a variety of services to include basic and deluxe pedicures, manicures, shellac and acrylics. I always make an appointment since they can be super busy on the weekend.
