With office locations in Fairfax and Chevy Chase, Maryland, board certified plastic surgeon Craig R. Dufresne, M.D., F.A.C.S. specializes in pediatric and adult reconstructive surgery and craniomaxillofacial surgery. Dr. Dufresne works closely with his patients to develop an individualized plan of treatment and is dedicated to helping each patient achieve a natural post-​surgical look.

Dr. Dufresne’s expertise and interest in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery includes cosmetic surgery as well as cancer and congenital reconstruction, which has won him critical acclaim and several awards. We provide surgical and non-​surgical cosmetic procedures including face lifts, brow lifts, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, abdominoplasty and liposuction; breast lifts, breast augmentation and breast reduction; BOTOX®, collagen, RESTYLANE®, and Radiesse™; and scar revision.

Dr. Dufresne has been fortunate to work and train with some of the most respected Plastic Surgeons known in the United States as well as with international experts in plastic surgery. This gave Dr. Dufresne the opportunity to develop a broad area of expertise in the areas of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. His focal interest is in facial aesthetics: nose, eyes, facial contouring, rejuvenating treatments for the face (including fillers and Botox), balancing and enhancing the natural proportions and characteristics for an improved, refreshed and youthful appearance. His subspecialty area of expertise in reconstructive craniofacial surgery extends from adults with facial fractures, invasive cancers, and accidents to newborn infants with birth defects, cleft-​lip and palate, and hemangiomas.

Dr. Dufresne is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who earned his medical degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University in New York, and completed his five year general surgery residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Medical Institutions. He completed his plastic surgery training at New York University Institute of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He also completed fellowship training in craniofacial and microvascular surgery at New York University Medical Center. He earned his reputation as «The Doctor’s Doctor» from treating professional colleagues and their families. Managing complex problems and working closely with leaders in their field of many rare afflictions, Dr. Dufresne is always willing to share his experience and work as a team to meet the needs of patients who have serious anomalies.
