Wow what a great place. They were short handed only 2 ladies. But they were great. It stinks she had to rush due to parking. 2 hour free parking. But she did a very nice job. Will be going back

Just moved in the neighborhood and check this place out. Mi was my nail tech. She was very precise with detail and took her time to make sure that I was happy with the end result… and I was! Great job Mi! Also they have a paraffin the wax which is awesome and helps with hand pain and increases blood flow… And it’s free part of the manicure!

Now I realize most nail technicians are not Picassos of their field, however, when paying $ 40 for a manicure, one would expect to receive a neat and orderly end product. The minute I got into the car I took photos of my nails so that i would be able to make this post. I always take reviews with a grain of salt as sometimes people can just be… picky. I am not one of those people; I simply expect to get what I pay for. I recently moved to the area and needed to get my nails done for a destination wedding the following day. I went in on a Wednesday at about 3:30pm…so I wouldn’t say it was a peak time; if that even matters. There was no pressing time constraint and no long line of customers waiting. Getting my nails done is a luxury for me and it was utterly depressing to see what I walked out with. No time to get them fixed… just stuck with this… mess. I went to work and showed my coworkers my nails and one of them said it looked like it had been done by a 7^th grader with White-​Out. AND I AGREE. It’s clear that the woman that everyone speaks about (Tina) is probably the only person you should be getting your nails done by if you choose to patron this establishment, because the work I received is simply unacceptable. A gel manicure is supposed to look and feel better than a regular manicure, WHICH IS WHY YOU PAY MORE FOR IT. Had this been regular polish I would have had her remove it and completely start over. I got my nails done by Monica and at first I thought maybe she was just getting down the foundation and going to follow-​up with the typical ‘clean-​up’ phase. Nope. She actually sent me out the door looking like this. It’s a shame that this salon would allow customers to walk out with this sort of mess on their hands but i guess that’s what I get for disregarding several of the reviews that say the same thing over and over. How can you run a business this way? And the audacity to call it ‘Luxury’ Nails. Anything but. To be straightforward, I want a refund for my manicure, and im really just kinda pissed off to be honest. I absolutely hate wasting money and I would have been better off just throwing the money in my garbage disposal. To make matters worse I also got my eyebrows waxed and upon getting to the car notice there was sections of wax still left on my eyelids. You’re looking directly at them, how is it possible to disregard SHINY wax on someone’s eyelids? If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, I will pay the extra money and go to MINT.

Nails done by Tina! Say no more! She is very knowledgable, doesn’t push and wants to please her customers in any way possible. She often accommodates your schedules and stays open later than she should have. Most importantly she knows what she is doing, the salon is metro accessible and she is fast!
Give Tina a try, you won’t regret it ;)

5-​Stars because of the location is just across the street from where I live, but 2 ½ to 3 stars because of the service. So the last two times I’ve been to the salon I had a polish change and a pedicure. Each time I waited over 30 minutes to be taken care of. I mean going on a weekend mid-​day is not the best idea, but I had time, though, I just didn’t expect to waste it that way. I believe that you can make an appointment, but the other times I was able to just pop in with no problem. Nice clean interior and atmosphere and they offer you a beverage. On my previous visit I opted for a gel light ballerina pink color. The technician kept applying coat after coat. It was a sheer color so it really wasn’t meant to have that many coats. I think I ended up with 5 – I lost count of how many. Then, they were so busy they just left me at the gel UV machine and I didn’t know how many more times or how long I had to leave it for. They said it would look better with more coats and I believed them. Big mistake! Another time, I believe it may have been the owner and they had just opened and I was telling them how excited I was that they just opened and they were like you should come more. I was going in for a polish change and they started criticizing who had done my nails last at another salon and kept pushing that they had better color choices, better practices, etc. I saw that they had a sign outside for a weekday happy hour which had specials and making conversation I was commenting that I wanted to try and make the happy hour special but that I couldn’t make the time because I get off work too late and would miss it. I am not sure if they didn’t understand me, but kept pushing that I should come to the salon more. Clearly, if you wanted me to be a frequent client, you could honor the happy hour price or offer an incentive on my next visit. It just felt very forced and rushed and that’s not what you’re supposed to feel when you go to the salon! Prices are reasonable for a mani, but beware of the pedicures! They entice you with an «orange pedicure» or «green tea» and that can run $ 50+ as opposed to a regular spa pedi which is around $ 25, unless you’re willing to spend the extra cash for a scrub and massage.

After a few visits I stopped going to this place. The only person whose work I liked is Tina, but seems that she never does manicures to walk-​ins. She usually assigns other girls. 2 times in a row I was given a young girl wearing glasses — while she seems to be meticulous, my manicure still chipped the day after. And I wasn’t doing anything at home!
2^nd time I left her I went home to take off the polish because it looked so uneven. They are constantly rushed with new walk ins and they don’t care for people they are giving the devices at the moment. Such job isn’t worth even $ 16 for manicure or whatever it costs there. I’m not gonna even bother myself spending my money on pedi there — no proof it’s gonna be worth it with such work ethics.
I have got a great mani & pedi here with Tina. She was very precise and professional in her work. I haven’t seen such a good job in pedi for a long time, one of the best in the area. Mani was great too! I especially loved a TREMENDOUS amount of polishes they have and a free paraffin hand mask!

Pretty good service, ups and downs but overall good. I had Cherry and she did a good job. They gave me a soda and water during my service. Another girl checked to make sure my toes were dry before I put my shoes on… that’s good since I always mess them up.

I love the place, nice atmosphere and clean.
I had done my nails in a lot of places, and I really liked Hannah’s work!
I had manicure gel, and was great!
The location is amazing for me, good price! I’m looking forward to go back and have a pedicure!

I really wanted to love this place because it’s so convenient for me and honestly it’s really nice inside but I gave this place three shots and every time it has failed me. Some of the nail technicians are really nice but. For the price and lack of satisfaction, it’s not worth it.
They have been able to get me in every time without a wait but I feel like the nail techs are not trained/​experienced– they always leave half my nail without polish. This last time the nail tech cut my nails way too short, uneven, and then forgot to put on a top coat, and wasn’t too happy when I told her I wanted another coating of polish because it was just so light.
Also I noticed they don’t clean their pedicure bowls properly. I saw one of the girls do a lazy job of quickly spraying the bowl and then quickly rinse it with water leaving behind residue. :(

I cannot speak on their services however, the following warrants a negative review. This business rarely answers their phone. I had a morning appointment scheduled in advanced at 9:30 am. I waited 20 minutes for someone to show and open up causing me to leave to go to another appointment. That is unacceptable.

Came in right at opening time today and Tina did a full acrylic set without tips! She was super meticulous but also quick and I was out the door in just under an hour. She did a sheer gel polish on top in CNDs «romantique»
I absolutely love my nails and will be back!

04/​13/​2016 My first visit in «Luxury Nails Spa»!
I love the interior and the atmosphere, fresh and lovely. Perfect location 3 minutes from «Dunn Loring» station. Tina take care of my Gel manicure and Gel pedicure. Which cost me $ 80. Tina is the first Vietnam lady that I met in that business and speak pretty fine English and I’m really glad! Very friendly and done great job with my feet. Great massage/​my favorite part/​. I’m the new regular customer from now.
See you after 2 weeks!

Edited to respond to owner’s comments: This review is for the location at Dunn Loring metro, across from Avenir apartments. My visit was on Friday, August 29^th 2015 and the argument I witnessed was a woman arguing with the nail technician that she was being too rough on her nails and the technician arguing that the woman «kept saying ow for no reason». The argument itself didn’t bother me that much because things like that happen but I was more upset about the quality of my manicure and eyebrows.
If there was only one technician allowed to do waxing and you, as the owner, did the work, that makes me even more concerned.

I hate to say it since the lady was so nice, but my nails were meh. My toes looked horrible and were not shaped well. I’ve never gotten a pedicure and thought my feet looked worse after lol. My manicure was not that great and the Polish was awful. I went and bought nail polish remover as soon as I left. Usually I stare at my toes and feet when I leave a shop, but this time I just thanked God it was winter and that my toes and hands would be covered up. It stinks that I had a bad experience since this place is across the street.

I don’t know what to really say about this place. I’ve only been here twice and I’ve been less than satisfied with my nails. The owner is very nice and the place is very modern and clean but the quality of nail care is lacking.
Gel manicures weren’t the best and for them to work very slow and take an extremely long time, they didn’t last the standard two weeks. Went back once to fix a nail that chipped in two days, but I don’t think I’ll be back again (it chipped again before the week was over). My cuticles are all raggedy and now I have a couple hang nails.
I appreciate their willingness to fix things but it’s not enough to keep me coming back. Just not worth the hassle.

I love coming here! They take care of you and do such a great job. I visited a couple of the other nail salons in the area, either they were way too expensive, rude (only spoke their language to you) or not clean. Here they were clean, friendly, and never spoke their language in front of me or other customers.
The work they do, your nails will last 2 – 3 weeks. I go in regularly for gel manicure every 2 in a half weeks!

My nails came out nice when I did a French tip full set gel nails but within 6 days one of my nails had fallen off
I don’t do any heard they were anything but it just fell off Monday so I had to return to get it fixed
The only thing I do not like is that when I returned to the salon to let them know that It had fallen off within the 6^th day the communication amongst the Owner & manicurist in their language was taken as if they were upset that they had to fix it.
I feel like my nail should last at least two weeks without ANY damage for what I paid for.
I still paid them tip and thank them for their time after she fixed it, but if you really value your customer you would not make it seem like it’s a problem if you know that the nail should last at least two weeks
The place is very clean and gorgeous looking inside though

It look over an hour and the place wasn’t packed. No one greeted you, or asked if you wanted water while you waited… Just a simple acknowledgment and courtesy would be nice.
I only got a plain manicure ($ 16) not a bad deal. The nail technician was great at following the steps and not cutting corners. She took her time and did a great job with removing dead skin and primping the nails before painting. I also appreciated how she applied base and top coats to lessen potential chipping.
I wouldn’t return to this place. There are simply way too many nail salons at relatively the same prices that are more professional. Delivers the same or better quality services.

Had a great first experience here. The facility was very clean and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Tina did my nails and she was a perfectionist which I love! I will definitely be back!

I’m really picky about my gel manicures and have been looking for a place to go where my gel will last two weeks. If you want perfect looking nails that won’t chip even after 2 weeks, ask for Tina. She is really good at shaping the nails and applies the gel evenly without a single flaw. She prides herself in her work and always asks if there is anything she can do to improve. There really is a difference in professional level service and you’ll definitely get that here.
