We purchased a 2016 Rockwood Roo 23WS this week from Farifield RV. Jay the salesman was friendly and very helpful. He also didnt push us for a trailer we didnt need. He provided real-​world advice and guidance (no hype) for the type of traveling and camping we prefer. We believe the price was fair for all we received. David the service guy, was equally as helpful and clearly knowledgable about RVs. We appreciated all that came with the purchase of our new trailer. We would definitely recommend Fairfield RV for future customers. We hope that future service of our trailer goes as smoothly as the purchase. If David is still around, we dont expect anything less. We bought our RV here a few months ago. Overall it was a good experience considering it was our first RV and we didn’t know much about them. We needed some warranty work done and dealt with Freddy and David in service. Hard working guys! They made sure we got our RV back as promised for an upcoming trip. You see they have a lot of business but are way understaffed but somehow managed to get the job done. These guys work super hard and I appreciate that! The owner needs to hire more service people however. David is the only there and the service dept is closed weekends. It only makes sense if you have all these RV’s sold here you need staff to service them. Thanks Freddy and David!

This place obviously does not believe in customer service! Stopped here to check out a fifth wheel and when we asked to look inside salesman told us that he had strict orders from his manager that no one could look inside unless we were serious; and we had to complete a credit application to look– as they like to keep trailers «fresh» for buyers. Um, who in their right mind would complete an anapplication just to view and why would anyone know if they wanted to purchase a 70−90k item without looking inside!!! Has anyone ever not sat in or test drove a car before purchasing? Probably not so why would someone not look inside a RV?!? I don’t know if this guy thinks we are some young people who aren’t serious, but honestly don’f feed us a line of crap! I will never come back here or recommend– and they didn’t have a big selection anyway! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.

Check everything before you sign papers with them. They state they are giving you something for free… THEY ARE NOT !!! They state that they deduct your free item off the sales price… Check the line below sales price, taxable amo… In that line is your «free» item that ends up included in the total financed… It’s not free, they move it to another line then lie to you about it… Question it and you get attitude with huffs and puffs… The owners son is a little jackoff and the owner is a bigger jackoff !!! This place blows and should NOT own a business!!! I would give them no stars but Unilocal makes me give at least a 1

I’m saying the same as Peggy C. DO NOT PURCHASE AN RV from this place because of their service dept. They don’t follow up when you are waiting on a part. We’ve had to call on many occasions and the part was there and they NEVER called. We just got our trailer back from them to replace the gasket around the slide out because it was not sealing. Mind you we bought the trailer one year ago brand new. They wanted to stuff foam in there instead. Also the filter under the sink blew off in the middle of the night and water went everywhere so my husband bypassed that. So now we went camping… everything hooked up etc. and the the water was just going straight to the black tank. They did something under the sink and the trailer wasn’t even in the shop for that. So we had to hook everything back up and put stuff away to bring it to their shop. Granted, my husband said some things that weren’t nice but we have had it with this place. Then I went inside to the dealership to find out who owns this company so I could call and let them know the awful experiences we are and have been having and the sales person who sold us the trailer was very rude. Peggy is right. they only want to sell you the trailer. Again… go somewhere else to purchase your trailer and do some investigating on their service dept. first. Please DO NOTbuy from FAIRFIELD RV.

Don’t buy an RV from this company if you expect to have your RV serviced there. The service dept. at Fairfield RV is incompetent. They don’t return your call and it takes months to get any service. They want your sale only! What a rip off!!!

We bought a Forest Rivers-​Rockwood 2516G. It’s a house on wheels that you can take camping. While I give Fairfield RV a guarded «Two Star» rating, it is based upon the product’s design, road-​ability and camping capabilities. The real problem here is in the company/​dealer service warranty contract. The problem would have eaten up all the stars except we have used the camper for some fairly great family excursions. Eight trips and set up or striking the camp has been a chore that is nothing like the easy setups shown on any You Tube Video and we’ve seen them all. Of course it’s in the manufacture’s best interest to show you the easiest setup rather than one you would titled, «When Things Go Wrong.»
Actions speak louder than words.
Fairfield RV dealers have a great personalities, that sells. In my opinion, honoring your servicing contract bring me back for more business than having a sweet talk deal. If I had know that they would make me stressed and depressed, (because this industry is not better regulated), I wouldn’t pulled off I-​80 in the first place. Except for the fact that we will be lodging a long complaint with the local BBB and Cal’s Dept. of Consumer Affairs, I get no satifaction writing this kind of critique. However, the problem of getting the dealer and manufacture to honor their contract in part, the warranty of service, this cannot be ignored. It was bought and paid for with the rig.
Therefore, this here below is a basic outline to some of the gripes that I will be edited into this critique in the near future:
1) Poor customer service — no response to letters and phone calls, un-​kept promises, inconsistent information, lots of talk but no action, passing the buck, and even outright lies;
2) Dealer refusing to order parts (much less service) for any RV not purchased from them and not following up on those parts that were ordered;
3) Long delays caused by disputes over who will fix what;
4) Lengthy waits for delivery of parts and/​or appliances;
5) Protracted waiting periods for repair appointments; There is an appointment to drop of the unit and then another about when they will actually start repairing it.
6) Extensive travel to and from manufacturer and/​or dealership, including toll bridge crossing, fuel and lunches while waiting for a response;
7) Long waits for repairs; ours began shortly after we purchased it in Summer 2014 and 6 trips back tot he dealer have not cured the first complaint (more detail later);
8) Partially or poorly-​done repairs.
9) Additional damage done and left un-​repaired while the unit was on the dealer’s property.
This list is extensive but incomplete. As a retired lawyer, engineer, and commercial truck driver with college and professional degrees, I plan to put the full force of my education and experience into action to correct the warranty issues for ourselves and any other RV-​ers who may fall prey to a breach of a warranty in their contracts.
All that being said, Fairfield has the present ability to read this post and correct the problems we’ve discussed numerous times since last summer. In which case, we can agree to edit up this post for a better critique.

I was blown away at how great the buying experience was, all the way to the pick –up process. You can tell that they really do care here. I bought a 2004 travel trailer, and every one from the salesman to the service guys to the management was helpful, trustworthy and truly wanted me to be happy with our new trailer. They cleaned it up and down, gave me a very thorough walkthrough, listened to and answered all of my questions and showed me how everything works top to bottom. And even after I was unable to secure the proper truck to pick it up, instead of rushing me out or just blowing me off they worked hard at no profit or gain to them, to find me a good solution. If you are going to buy an rv, I am telling you that this is the place to go. I went to about 10 different lots and never felt like I was important until I came here. Thanks Fairfield RV you guys made a harrowing experience a pleasant one.

I know I already gave a review of Fairfield RV but I have to add another one for those of you looking for an RV and don’t know where to go.
We have had some horrible swaying issues even though we had the Reese 14,000 anti sway hitch installed. This was our choice because Reese said it would stop the sway before it began… NOT!
Ian re-​adjusted the hitch and honestly it felt better until a trip down the Altamont pass in Livermore after a trip to Calaveras Big Trees. The trailer swayed from one lane to another until we slowed so much that it finally stopped. We were only traveling at 58 to maybe 60 miles an hour when this happened. Terrified isn’t a strong enough description of how we were feeling… The cars behind us all slowed way down when they saw what was happening. We thought our camping days were over…
Back to the service department we went, Sid, the owner came to our rescue and spent over 4 hours with us. He drove our truck, pulling our trailer to analyze the problem. He and Ian were great and so reassuring that the problem would be taken care of and we would feel safe towing our rig.
We tried an equalizer hitch, which is the one they wanted to put on in the first place and it worked great. Sid met us again and test drove with this hitch on, he felt a big difference. We ended up ordering the Equalizer 4 point 10,000 (a little heavier duty) and just had it installed on Thursday of this week. The drive home was great with no swaying, even though it was very windy. Husband said it was so much different feeling on the drive home and felt as though the truck and trailer were one.
We CANNOT say enough about Fairfield RV, thank you Razi and Jay for selling us our new trailer.

So bottom line is~~~If you are looking for an RV, look no more. I know we wouldn’t hesitate to buy again from them…:))

When it comes to customer service this place gets no stars. They were our first stop after our 7year search and not only did they hesitate to show us any trailers but they wouldn’t let my kids in the trailers with us. Now my kiddos are not perfect but they know how to behave and I know how to put the fear in them. Besides that the staff didn’t have answers to our questions about the trailers on their lot and always referred us to the trailers website. We had been doing our research and knew the answers but always want to make sure the dealer knows their product… right? They didn’t. When we went to a RV show they were there so thought we’ll give them another try. Still not impressed. They didnt say anything about my kids being with us but when my 9yo sat on the couch the sales guy was upset and suggest that he wait outside. He was just sitting there and have to say nice and still feet on the ground. So they lost our service then. We bought our trailer out of state, had it delivered and paid 10K less then what they’re selling theirs. So now fast forward 3 years later. Went to their lot to look at their Rockwood 5^th wheels. First had to ask to be shown around, still no answers to our questions, and sales person wasn’t impressed that we were just looking and comparing and not buying today… really??? Well lets just say we’ve had 4 friends and all have bought new trailers in the last 3 months and none from them. And 2 of them went to their lot and walked away upset. Its sad when your in that business customers aren’t your priority. Needless to say we went else where and going to buy a trailer they have on their lot but won’t even consider buying from them. Now I never leave bad reviews but if your shopping around don’t go here. They keep their trailers locked and are bothered by the customers. Good luck!

Fairfield RV is Fabulous. We have spent three years researching trailers and found our perfect one here. We upgraded from our tent trailer to a hybrid. Razi and Jay were great to work with. Financing was easy. The walk through was very informative and they spent a lot of time with me showing me how to use everything on our new trailer and testing all the components with me present. I would purchase from them again any day. Thank you to everyone at Fairfield RV! Our family loves our Roo.
