Mike and Josh were great! They cleared out those pesky privet trees that I let get out of hand over the last 12 years! They also removed palm trees that were growing where I didn’t want them! The guys arrived as they said they would and worked tirelessly to remove the trees I didn’t want. They also thinned out my lemon trees to remove dead branches and make it manageable instead of a thorny death trap. I feel like I have a new backyard… And my guests said they don’t have to «duck» under the overgrown trees that lined my doorway path. They were courteous and cleaned up their work areas. They even noticed a dead big branch on my huge tree in the front yard and offered to remove it before it snapped or caused harm. I don’t have many trees left, but if I ever need tree service, I’ll be calling Independent Tree Services! …and the 12 month no grow back guarantee — bonus! :-)

Wow, these guys did an awesome job. They trimmed my lemon tree, left the area underneath it cleaner than it was when they started, took the time to salvage lemons for me before discarding the branches (above and beyond the call of duty!), then swept up that trail of debris out to the chipper, cleaned the driveway, the sidewalk, the gutter, and left it immaculate. They showed up on time and their price was very reasonable. The owner, Mike, is very knowledgeable about fruit trees and has a lot of expertise. He and his crew were a pleasure to deal with. Outstanding work. Thank you!!!

Always wanted to use that one. Mike has been to my property to do just that job, and he did exellent work at a great price. He also did some pruning on my orange tree, not to mention he’s loaded with lots of great advice.
I look forward to hiring him for my upcoming projects.

Extremely happy beyond our expectation. Contrary to another Unilocaled company, Mike gave us his expert assessment as an arborist and we decided to take out 4 instead of 5 trees and treat two of the stumps instead of grinding all. He was definitely not pressing for business but instead offering long range helpful projections based on feeling out our intentions. He knew every tree well. After writing out his great quote he said he’d also work with an axe to get out the huge surface roots running out long in every direction. Committed to the appt day, he and Josh worked all morning in pouring rain. Trusting his character we paid before he was done and left. Later we came back expecting to do some cleanup. There was hardly a trace except for beautiful fine scattering of small chipped mulch. He had gotten all those surface roots out that were pushing on drain, patio and fence foundation. Beautiful!
Can’t say enough about these guys and their integrity, great price, and expertise.

I would agree 100% with the other review by Jeremy C., I had a 70′ Old Heritage Oak. huge tree! Mike and Josh done a great job, very polite and respectful and when they were done, the job clean up was great. Mike, «one of the owners» is also a licensed Arborist and risk management professional. I have more trees and will not hesitate to give them my business in the future.

We had 2 giant redwood trees in our front yard. They had become damaging to our foundation, sprinklers, and lawn. I called 6 different tree services. Some never showed up, others were not very professional, and some were just not a good fit.
Independent Tree Service gave a written quote, and made a follow up call a few days later. All of the other companies gave a quote, and were never heard from again.
Independent Tree Service was fairly priced. They came in 30% cheaper than most of the other guys. One company came in too cheap, and gave me the feeling that we would encounter additional costs before the project was over. Independent Tree Service completed the project for exactly what they quoted. They showed up on time, and ready to work.
The did exactly what they said they would do. The 2 trees were cut down, and removed safely with no damage to our house, or any surrounding houses. They took care of the stumps, and even chased the roots as far as they could.
The front of our house was left very clean, and the guys even took some railroad ties we needed to get rid of.
If I ever need a tree cut down, I will be calling these guys back!
