Took my car in for a full diagnostic. All they did was change the timing and checked for leaks. Said that they THINK i might have the wrong cam in my car. Charged me $ 180. Then, a couple days later I get in my car and the battery is dead. Had to jump it. So I check for trouble codes and its got 2 of em. So I call them and tell them about it, thinking that obviously it’s something THEY did to it, since it had no trouble codes before I took it to them, and they tell me that my car has a bunch of problems with it and that its nothing that they did! First off, if it has «a bunch of problems» with it, WHY DIDNT THEY TEST FOR ANY PROBLEMS??? No compression check? Didn’t check the spark plugs? Or the cat? Just gonna charge me $ 180 to change the timing, check for leaks and give me an assumption with nothing to back it up??? So if you need to adjust your timing, give them a call. They’ll only charge you $ 180.

Great owner and staff, very accommodating. Anytime I have a problem with my Jeep I call Janette and gets me in asap. Service is amazing and they let me know of upcoming maintenance I will need. It’s nice to know about expensive maintenance in advance!

Gave me the cheapest engine inspection I could find in town… and this was the computerized inspection which will say for sure what’s wrong with your car. Another place told me I had to replace the cat converter but here at Midway Automotive they informed me that sounded very off since my car is fairly new and doesn’t have 90,000+ miles on it. Sure enough, it was the O2 sensors I needed replaced, which was the best case scenario. Oh and the air filter. They even let me know stuff I could get at an auto store for cheaper costs. They ended up inspecting my brakes as well, and good thing because I need to get new ones soon! They were even nice enough to fill up my windshield washer fluid and air in my tires. Definitely come here! They won’t bs you for extra money and they definitely know what they’re talking about. They even called the GM dealership for me to find out what parts of my car were still under warranty to save me costs. Very thankful I found this place! I will be coming back for any other issues for sure.

I have an old car that failed smog. Terrible combo, right? Add onto that I had a trip coming up and needed to get tags on it. Of course, add in urgency to an already serious problem.
Well, the part that failed was kinda obscure, so we’re onto strike 4 here. I tried to fix it and couldn’t. I’m darn handy, so if I can’t fix it its either going to be hard or expensive, or usually both.
I mentioned this to a co-​worker who suggested Midway. I called and talked to Pat, who said that it didn’t sound like a big deal and that he had taken care of this problem before. He would have taken the car that day if I could have gotten it to him, but I had to get it to him the next day.
I dropped the car off at 7, thinking I’d leave the keys in the slot. They were there early!
As I was explaining a few of the car’s idiosyncrasies (so they were aware of them and not concerned), Pat said «oh we can fix that». I was a little nervous that the adventure was going to get really expensive, but I need the car reliable and wanted it through smog, so I said he could go ahead and look into the other stuff.
They called me back 3 hours later. I figured it would take a day or more. Nope, done very early. Then came the bill. Again, I was expecting a lot — parts, labor, etc. Nope. The diagnostic charges were broken down into fractions of an hour (and very reasonable amounts) and the repairs were… beyond reasonably charged.
They even offered to take it to the smog shop, but I was using a shop in another town so I didn’t want to put them out.
I took it back to the smog shop, and the shop was very impressed with the repairs. They said they were very well done.
So… My old adage, cheap fast effective choose 2. Nope. I got all 3. There was literally nothing bad about the experience.
Oh, I take that back. There was one. They mis-​heard my name on the terrible cell phone connection (which is my fault — we have awful service at work).
I asked them to fix it in their system because I will be back :)

Called around to many auto places when my car wouldn’t start in the morning. No one could fit us in. Midway Auto Repairs was friendly and responsive. Had our vehicle towed there. Starter needed replacing. Had it fixed in under 4 hours and the cost was fair and reasonable. I will now send all my friends here because I trust their expertise and professionalism. Thanks for making me a happy camper! :)
