History

Established in 2015.

Radius opened it’s doors in June, 2015 to not only provide a safe, fun, and supportive environment for it’s students, but to also to instill the value of martial arts as a community resource to the area.

Meet the Business Owner

Travis P.

Business Owner

Travis Passaro, co-​owner of RADIUS Martial Arts Academy, holds a Jiu-​Jitsu black belt belt under Professor Luigi Mondelli, a 4^th degree American Top Team black belt of Kore/​ATT CT. He has also been training Muay Thai since 2010 with Josh Danis. By day, Travis is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who supervises and develops programming for individuals with special needs, autism and related disorders. Travis teaches Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu at the studio.

Lisa Passaro, co-​owner of RADIUS Martial Arts Academy, holds a purple belt under Denise Discepolo of ATT CT. She initially began her Jiu-​Jitsu training in 2012 for fitness purposes; she quickly embraced the challenge of Jiu-​Jitsu and the comradery of the martial arts community. She is a Connecticut certified educator with a Master’s degree in Multicultural Education/​TESOL and a Master’s degree in Multicultural Education/​TESOL and a Master’s degree in Experiential Health and Healing.
