Description

Specialties

We COOK our mild and spicy hot dog chili daily, with 100% ground beef and spices. It has NO onions cooked in, we put raw onions on our dogs so that you can leave them off if you like. Yostie has owned the recipe from West Virginia since 1972… Our hot dogs consist of a grilled weiner in a steamed bun with mustard, onion and mild or spicy chili. Sorry but there’s no ketchup, mayo, slaw, relish etc.etc. Once you taste one you’ll know why. We also put our chili on Pepperoni Rolls, and on the Yosties Big Chili Spaghetti. Everything on the menu is cooked in house daily. Shelley makes her yeast dough from scratch every morning for our breads and rolls. We don’t bake 60 dozen cinnamon buns a day like the olé days, but you can walk in during business hours and find what you want. No deep fryer or microwave here. Our menu has items that are the best in the area, plus food you can’t find anywhere in N.C. but Yosties. Just off I-85 exit 74.

History

Established in 1996.

The first Yosties Bakery Eatery was located in Etowah TN. We served breakfast and lunch from our restored diner. We moved to Salisbury in 1998 and operated a bakery only selling baked goods mostly wholesale. We were located at Jake Alexander and Old Concord Rd. and on Stokes Ferry Rd. in Rowan Co. We took a break from the food business in 2001 and moved to Fl. for 4+ yrs. When we came back to Rowan co. in 2006 many many folks were asking about the cinnamon buns. So we opened in April of 2007 Over 55,000 hot dogs have sold so far. We don’t wholesale anymore but large quantitys are available for events. Our 5 and 6 dollar lunch specials are tax included for those in a hurry.
