So I worked in the building where this Café is located for almost 4 years. I quickly grew tired of the food here. I would still eat there at least once or twice a week but he daily specials were repetitive and would start over with the same thing after 2 weeks. However, it wasn’t until I started working at another company in another building that I realized how much I had taken this place for granted. The food was not sloppily prepared, it was always tasty and consistent, and most importantly, their assembly-line system ensured that even during the busiest lunch rush, there was no more than a 5 minute wait in and out the door. Their salad bar was well stocked and even had some ethnic additions(the owners are Korean and very friendly). Now, the building I work in has a deli that pales in comparison to this place. Cambridge Café has specials every day. I’m sure the price has gone up but it was around $ 4.99 for a hot special and $ 4.25 for a sandwich special. Also, the sandwich special came with a bag of chips! I miss the chicken gyros, the Spicy BBQ Chicken Wednesdays, the Taco Salad Fridays, the homemade lasagna, the homemade breakfast burritos, the tasty club sandwiches, and the Korean panchan at the salad bar. Don’t forget the homemade cookies after 3:30! only $ 0.25 each. Most importantly the prices are beyond reasonable. They are straight up cheap. I don’t know where else you can get the quality of food here for around $ 5. I usually pay more for lunch at McDonalds than here. I would say that the downside is that thy only take cash. There is an ATM machine on the premises though. To my former coworkers… realize how good you have it! Every time I go to the deli downstairs my new office(which by the way doesn’t even have a salad bar), pay close to $ 7 for a sloppily prepared sandwich that doesn’t even come with a free bag of chips, I die a little inside.
