Fast, friendly and affordable. I had them install an in-​line heater/​fan called a Hotpod and really glad they did and not me. The tech was respectful of my house — he had to work in the crawl space the entire time — and brushed off his clothes and removed his shoes. The owner even came by afterwards to make sure everything was working to my satisfaction.

Very very pleased with the installation and maintenance of the heating and cooling system installed by Rubio Mechanical in my 120 year old cabin… it was a difficult job with such an old place, especially with the added problems associated with running how water pipes under the old wooden floors.
Miguel and his crew were very knowledgeable, courteous and thorough; they steadfastly transformed this chilly old cabin into a warm, cozy cottage. And their follow up when the system needs to be tweaked or even modified was really great.

Found Rubio Mechanical through a friend. I’m extremely happy I did. Had an issue with my furnace and they came quickly to diagnose the problem. The technician was very knowledgeable and showed me what the problem was and what the solution was. I was very pleased with their fast response and kind tech. I also signed up for a service agreement, so this wouldn’t happen again. Five bright stars!

I’ve had my heating and air serviced and maintained by Rubio Mechanical for the past few years. They are responsive, friendly and informed. I never feel stupid or patronized for the questions I ask, they treat me like an intelligent human! And I’ve never gone without heat or air for any length of time, because of their responsiveness. I recently had an old condensate /​humidifier discharge line that developed a pin hole leak. I called my HVAC team at Rubio Mechanical and told them I wanted to fix the leak, and then remove the old plastic tubing on the outside of the house and replace with PVC pipe. Miguel the owner said I have a better idea. He said they had access, so why not just repair it and run it to an adjacent drain pipe inside the house. What a great idea! No more freezing pipe on the outside or condensate and humidifier discharge getting dumped out by my AC unit. Derek and Adolfo came out and knocked this work out in record time and cleaned up very nicely. I am very pleased with their work, and Miguel’s idea. I recently signed up for a Bronze service contract with Rubio Mechanical and have been pleased with their service so far, and would recommend them for your HVAC needs.

Great experience! Professional and timely service at reasonable prices, can’t beat that. Their techs really know their stuff and I feel confident the job will get done right whenever I use them.

We had an issue with the air conditioning system a couple of years ago and the company that does our regular maintenance/​service gave us some crazy estimates to fix it including an option to completely replace our HVAC system. We called Rubio at that time to get a second opinion. We had someone sent over on the same day I called them and he fixed everything to get it back up and running. All this at a reasonable cost. Since then we have been using Rubio Mechanical for our regular maintenance/​services. We have had different people come over but every one of them was very professional, knows what he is doing and does a clean job.

I don’t usually write reviews for home service companies, but had such a good recent experience, I felt like others in DC, MD, and VA might benefit from hearing about it:
Our heating system stopped working sometime overnight on Sunday. With impending cold weather, I was worried about frozen feet (and pipes)! I called the HVAC company that we had a service contract with for priority service and left a message early Monday morning. I also reached out to Rubio Mechanical at the same time. (I had heard about them through a friend.) It took about a half day for the company we had a contract with to get back to me by phone. Within the time I received a call back from them, the friendly team at Rubio Mechanical had already sent someone to my house to help us out. Thank you, Erin!
The person they sent over (Adolfo) was professional, friendly, and knew what he was doing. He listened to the two details I was able to give him and got right down to business. He pinpointed and fixed the problem with out heating system quickly. He didn’t try to upsell me on anything and was a pleasure to deal with. Their rates were very reasonable too.
As a result, my husband and I decided to ask Rubio Mechanical for a service contract for our HVAC system. Turns out they have 3 tiers for us to choose from.
We are delighted to have found the good people from Rubio Mechanical!
