From South Florida and visiting area for a few days. Couldn’t find any Dominican restaurants so we found this spot on Unilocal.Soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. Within a few seconds, chips and a very good bean dip was brought to the table. There’s a pretty good selection of salsa at their salsa bar and the beer is cold like your ex wife’s heart. Authentic and tasteful.

Service was slow as we approached end of the eve… side work took a front seat. Food was OK. Salsa bar seemed dirty. Nice people, overall. Convenient to hotels. Decent fresh table side quac but not much flavor and not mixed well. Mediocre experience

Food is pretty bad. Maybe ok by NC standards? Service was good, but salsa was weird, bean dip mediocre, margaritas not impressive at all. I don’t like saying this, but I think nachos at Taco Bell are better. Try the taco truck by the flea market if you want good Mexican.

As far as Mexican restaurants go, salsa and beers is decent. Nothing really makes them stand out compared to their competitors aside from their salsa bar which I wish was labeled. I’m not complaining too much about it as I have no issue trying out all the different salsas but it would be nice to know at least the heat level to make my selection easier. I wasn’t feeling too hungry so my sister I decided to order the cheese dip and share the fajita chicken quesadilla appetizer. I was surprised by the serving size of the quesadilla appetizer, it was huge! It turned out to be the perfect size for the both of us and tasted delicious. The ingredients tasted great, however it was a bit more greasy than I’m used to; still tasty but wish there was a bit less grease. I liked that the chips for the table came with a bean dip, it’s nice to change things up from the usual chips and salsa. Their queso cheese dip was pretty standard, not as hot and runny as I like but it’s cheese so I’m not complaining. Our server was quick in terms of getting our food out and very attentive. With reasonable prices and their salsa bar, I’ll definitely be back but there’s not much that sets this place apart from their competitors. I did notice they have an outdoor patio that looked like it would be fun during the spring/summer season. I may have to update my review after trying it out later in the new year :)

My personal favorite Mexican place in Fayetteville. Quick and friendly service and so much food I always have to get a box to-go. I like the salsa bar, I think between 8 to 10 salsa options plus bean dip is served with chips. Good beer and bar variety. Indoor and outdoor seating, both great depending on the seasons. I enjoy to go watch football, soccer or NASCAR.

Food was ok, nothing great. We went for dinner and we were the only one’s there but the service was good. Not sure I’d eat there again.

What is not to like here? I got the sizzling enchiladas — hot hot hot — so good! Homemade beans and I tried several of the salsas — great flavor! Good food cold beer — I will be back for more!

Great fajitas! the one person is enough to feed 2 people. Good bean dip that come with chips for each table. The queso blanco needs some work for sure, it is really thin and soupy. The salsa bar was good but not hot enough or enough variety to have salsa in the name of the restaurant. the beans a rice were as close to home as i could ask for from a restaurant. The huevos rancheros were awful, I mean really but they were better then el cazador.

I’m surprised to see so few people here. We’ve been here a few times and the food has been great! Portions definitely big enough to share. I do wish the salsa bar offered more variety, but the bean dip makes up for it. My favorite menu item: Ranchero Burrito

I ate here yesterday with my husband and we both enjoyed it. We ordered the 2 person fajita because we couldn’t decide what to order! There was a lot of different choices. The carnitas was really good and I really like how they have a salsa bar. I did not give them 5 stars because: — our server took a while to refill our water — we we’re not given utensils to put the meat on our tortillas(meat was hot, ended up using salsa chips) I do plan on coming back because I love food :)

I loved this place. The waiter was super nice and helpful, very attentive. I got the chicken and steak fajitas, which were really good and which 2 people could of eaten. The veggies were seasoned great. The bean dip was amazing, I ate 3 bowls by myself. I liked all the options on the salsa bar, my favorite was the spicy lime, be prepared it has a kick. My friend got the nachos and they were amazing. I had a little food envy. Will go again.

Good food. Good service. Good mix. Close to home and better than Chinese. Order drinks and snacks first and save your time.

We have been searching for a good Mexican restaurant and finally found one. months before we have to move away, of course. The food is great here. I tried the«sopes» tonight and they were awesome. I’ve also had the fajitas and my husband had a burrito both times that he loved. Highly recommend!

I do not plan on going back. The food was okay. The salsa bar was nothing special in mine or my husband’s opinion. The service was the worst. Everyone looked as though they hated working there. No one ever asked if we needed anything. We sat there for over an hour & our server didn’t refill our drinks until we were already done with our food. After waiting forever for him to come back, I realized he was sitting at a bar talking to someone. I noticed someone working there come by the tables & spray something that I assumed was air freshener or some kind of cleaner. I thought it was rude to do that beside 3 tables that had people eating at them. Overall I was not pleased.

Wouldn’t return service was great cheap beer but the food was mediocre at best maybe I’m a little bit of a Mexican snob but I love the name of the restaurant that’s why gave it three stars

Food was very tasty but the service was ho-hum. Our waitress was nice but also the bartender & cashier. They need more staff. Try the guac when you have time to kill. Best in Fay.

Quick service and yummy food. This is a great place for lunch. Our drinks came out right away and they were happy to be taking our orders. The prices were very reasonable, and the food was fresh and very good. I ordered the lunch fajitas with carnitas and the meat was nice and succulent.

I like this place. They have a nice outdoor patio/bar area. It’s freezing now. There is a heater, but apparently the plastic coverings they had were stolen. Not sure if there is a plan to replace them or not, but they have been gone a good amount of time. The food(enchilada) and their salsa was outstanding. I love the spicy salsa and chips. The prices are VERY reasonable and they have nightly beer specials. I like the salsa bar. No idea what some of the different types are, but it is good. The service is rather inconsistent, thus the 3 stars. We recently held our first Unofficial Unilocal Event here — meh, unfornuately, not the greatest of service for our table which we had RSVP’d.

Best Mexican place I’ve been to in the 15+ years I’ve lived here. After discovering it last year I try to come at least once a month. They have a good salsa bar, the Spicy Lime is top notch. For entrees I always get the Shrimp Mazatlan Enchiladas. I always consider trying something else but I just love these so much and don’t deviate. When they bring out the chips they bring out bean dip which is different from a lot of the other local places. No complaints. This location is so convenient, I bring friends, clients, and my husband here. The patio makes this location great. They never seem to have Corona Light, that would be the one thing I would change. Lunch menu items are avg $ 7, and dinner’s are $ 11.

Came here for the first time recently and was decently surprised. Keep in mind, I’m a Cali girl who has lived in the Bay Area and LA, which means I’ve had authentic and kick ass Mexican food at cheap prices. In other words, I’m spoiled, so take my words with a grain of salt! We ordered the steak fajitas and a combo enchilada dish. Pros Pretty decent selection of salsa. There were about 6 – 8 types of salsa. Unfortunately, none of them were pico de gallo, which I prefer, because it’s fresh tomatoes, cilantro, and onion. FYI– the salsa bar is self service. Good variety on their menu. Tortilla chips aren’t very greasy. Definitely a plus. Service is good and friendly. Our waiter was nice enough to give my boyfriend some recommendations. Bf was happy with the choice, but it wasn’t spicy enough because they ran out of habaneros. Good portions. Cons Didn’t see black beans on the menu. Sorry, I think that’s my Cali sensibilities kickin’ in. My steak in the fajitas was thin. I’m used to good chunks of meat for any kind of Mexican meat dish. They definitely skimped on the quality of the meat. Price. Definitely paid higher than what I would back in Cali, but given that there’s not a wide variety of Mexican restaurants in the area, it is what it is. At least the prices aren’t astronomical. Seems to be low on supplies, which cancels out the variety on their menu. What’s the point of having something on your menu if you can’t provide it? They didn’t have horchata and habanero jalapenos. Horchata hadn’t been made and they said they ran out of habaneros. There are certain things a Mexican restaurant should have on hand at all times, so this was disappointing. Keep in mind, my boyfriend and I didn’t try the booze, so we really missed out on the«beer» half of the restaurant name. Can’t really attest to the quality, but I will say that the prices appear pretty reasonable. Final Answer At the end of the day, I’ve had better. I would come back, but it’s not on my list of places I would prefer to come back to. It would only be if I’m really hankering for Mexican food.
