Tiger Schulmann’s Mixed Martial Arts

Where do I begin… if I could give negative stars, I would. Basically, if you like spending a lot of money to work out and get patronized while doing it, this is the gym for you. Not only is it extremely expensive, they act like you are doing THEM a favor by signing up. And don’t even think about buying your own equipment to bring to class… I bought a great pair of everlast boxing gloves on ebay and brought them to class and got screamed at like I was a child, And I’m 30 yrs old! The «sensei» told me never to bring these gloves to class again and that I need to buy the (overpriced) gloves through the tiger schulmann website. The contract that you sign might as well be a deal with the devil. The only way you can break the contract is if you move 50+ miles away and they need to see the deed of the house?! If you get injured, they would need a doctors note, and/​or a certificate of death. You can only advance to the next belt if you attend so many classes per wk (read: pay more money) and it takes almost 6 – 12 months to advance. They also try to force you to attend the fights to support the instructors, this place even made it mandatory! These fights should be free compared to the already astronomical amount I pay each month. I couldn’t go anyway, I had to work overtime to pay for this nonsense. They also try to force you to buy their merchandise (hoodies, tshirts, etc) which is priced as overinflated as their egos. So you can become a walking billboard. This place thrives on bullying people to join… ugh, the irony. The only thing I honestly enjoyed was the actual workout… being able to learn combination punches and kicks. It was a good beginners cardio kickboxing class… nothing more, nothing less.
