History
Established in 1997.
Dash Point Highlands Child Care and Learning Center (formally known as Country Bear Child Care) has been providing a loving home environment since July 1997. As a family home child care, we provide a safe and nurturing environment for children where they learn and grow socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively at their own pace. We foster interpersonal relationships among children and adults in order to provide an educational experience of the highest quality built upon the belief that children have a natural disposition for learning and an innate curiosity that, when intentionally and carefully nurtured, blossoms into a life-long love of learning. Dash Point Highlands Child Care and Learning Center is a place where parents can feel confident that their children are receiving the very best care and education. We are licensed by the State of Washington Department of Early Learning and adhere to the Family Home Child Care Licensing Rules Chapter 170−296A.
Meet the Business Owner
Pauline N.
Business Owner
I have been married for over 27 years and am a mother of five daughters. After seven years in the U.S. Navy and many years working in the corporate world, I found my calling. For over 18 years I have dedicated myself full time to early childhood education through providing the best home-based childcare possible. I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree as well as an Associates of Applied Science degree in Early Childhood Education. Since opening Country Bear Child Care in 1997, I have been blessed to have the opportunity to be a significant part of the lives of many children. My primary focus is on birth to pre-school age development, fostering children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. These experiences over the years have afforded me the opportunity to become an integral part of our childcare families’ overall growth by helping to ensure children learn the foundational elements of preparatory educational development.
