Now that Me Granvold has decided to reply to my review, which is entirely within his right, I feel the need to say something here. 1) I never said that you can just STOP paying. Anyone in a Banko knows you can’t STOP your payments or it will be dismissed.
2) just the fact that he had to jump on here and bring up a bunch of my financial specifics (which I know are public record but have nothing to do with this. He could have answered my review without bringing them up.) just proves that he is SCUM.
Apparently my review must have hit a nerve with him to take his time, that costs $ 250 an hour (probably had better things to do. Wonder if I will get a bill in the mail.) and air out my dirty laundry.
I’m not ashamed of it. I filed Banko. Yes I did. And Richard did his job and got me through it. And to say that 99.99% of his clients appreciate everything. Something is wrong with that math. You have 3 reviews buddy, and 2 of them are 1 star. So in conclusion, I just want everyone to know that either way you swing it, he will get the job done, but… Richard is a dick.

Mr Granvold was a true professional and really knows what he is doing. He put me at ease and handling all the hard work. My life is in a much better place thanks to Richard.
I will tell you this. I wish he handled more than just bankruptcy, because I would hire him for everything. Great guy but an even better Attorney.

I would give him –5 stars if I can.
He really left bad taste in my whole family’s mouth.
He is the most disrespectful and racist person I ever encounter.
I do not recommend him for any one, especially if English is your second language.
My parents used his service to file bankrupt and obviously most people file it for the first time. So most people will not have any knowledge and have stress as it is. I did get a call from my sister that she didn’t like lawyer who was helping my parents because he has an nasty attitude and that he wasn’t explaining to the questions that my parents were asking and he simply told my sister that he knows what he’s doing and all my father has to do is come down to court and sign the paper. My sister told me Richard Granvold was asking my father if he was mentally disable because they couldn’t understand the complicated law. (If they knew the law well enough, they’d probably filed it themselves) It seemed like all he cared for was the money.
Originally my parents were filing for bankruptcy because they wanted to keep the house some how. He never gave my parents other options or things they could do to catch up ‘by law’ then turned around gave my mom realtor’s business card and told her his realtor was coming to pick my parent’s house key. I just got in from Los Angeles to visit my parents and my mother asked me to called he creditors and they told me to called the bankruptcy lawyer because they said in bankruptcy, it says that my parents gave up the house.
So I called and try to ask him some questions. He just went off by saying my mother might have mental problem understanding the law and that he explained thousand times and I calmly asked him what can they do if they want to keep the house someway somehow. He kept on saying that he was telling me the law and by law this by law that and that it should be easy as adding 2 and 2 equals 4, if you haven’t been paying for the house payment, you will lose the house… (NO SHIT!!! WHY WOULD MY PARENTS FILE FOR BANKRUPTCY IN FIRST PLACE IF THEY WERE ABLE TO MAKE A PAYMENTS??? DUHHHHHHH???)
Then I asked him why did he gave my mother his realtor card and told her his realtor was coming to pick her house key then he told me something about chapter 18 or 20 then he went off saying ‘well I’m just telling you the law, If they haven’t paying for the payments, they will lose the house but there’s chapter 18 or 20′. These options should have been presented when my parents first went to him and discuss the bankruptcy options. He did not considered the fact that it was first rodeo for my parents and they did not have clue on it. Matter of fact, he took an advantage of them.
AT ONE POINT HE SAID MY PARENTS MIGHT HAVE MENTAL PROBLEM!!!
First of all, I know how to add and subtract and secondly I do understand english. He had weird comprehension problems about my parent’s questions until I confronted him about his realtor visiting my parent’s house for a key. Then he gave me an answer to my question and rushed off the phone because he had ‘client’ (another victim to his future commission?)
He’s just an asshole and crook who just uses name of law to get over on people.
BAD BAD BAD client service skills.
He seems to be crooked and he will take an advantage of you then when you have questions about things, he will just treat you like you are idiots and have mental problems.
