I hadn’t been to that bowling alley in over three decades and it hasn’t changed much. The walls are the same. The old diner and worn-out bar are the same. Even the bathrooms and video game nook are exactly the same. The one thing that has changed is the automatic scoring. Back in my day, we had a stubby pencil and a piece of paper to keep score. And we hated it, dammit! Going macro here… I’m only a little grossed out by the whole shoe rental thing. What really squirms around inside my brain is the bowling ball holes. With every three-fingered insertion, my mind repeats«fecal matter» over and over like a song stuck in my head. The crowd was a good mix. The drink were cheap and the bowling was bowling. It’s an authentic retro experience at a reasonable price. Just remember to bring cash and some hand sanitizer.

I you plan on bowling on a weekday don’t come until after 10 pm. They will not allow non league people to bowl until after league bowling is complete.

Cash only cute bowling alley with your standard arcade games, bar/diner and of course bowling lanes. I like it because it’s not as new as many places around, and is conveniently located but doesn’t get an overly crowded amount of business. The employees have always been friendly and the bathrooms are clean. What else could you want?

This place only takes cash. Not a huge deal, unless you need to use their cash machine. It’s hard to bowl after the cash machine took an arm and a leg. They did not discount the shoe rental cost(because I only needed one)., and the other lady who just took out cash had smaller feet, so sharing the rental didn’t work out. The people were friendly, and the facility was a little dated.

Wish I could give this place zero stars! The restaurant people were racist! We had a group of 25 people all Chicanos.(2nd generation Mexican Americans) we came after church to celebrate a birthday. They told us we HAD to pay for the food before they gave us the food… no duh!!! Then kept getting stares. We weren’t being crazy and loud at all. Even after we ordered they kept acting like we were from a gang or something.(none of us look like we are in a gang btw) will never everrr come here again!!! Can’t believe people still treat others this way!

Really? We are from out of town and we wanted to bowl. We shouldn’t have come here for a good time out with the family. They take cash only and the first thing is to point out their atm. Then the shoes looked like they needed to be recycled 5 years ago. Then we had pins falling down when they were being set. Then lanes were good though. We didn’t stay long.

The food is good. Bowling is OK. It completely sucks that they only take cash and charge you an arm and a leg to take money out. The lady at the bar is SO unbelievable rude. They are always so rude. Just over all, would rather drive to Bellevue of South Center and go to the nice bowling alley.

Seen this place many times while working in the area and after reading the reviews and being open minded thought I would check them out. Well it was a short stay and most reviews whether positive or negative are dead on. Yeah many locals, bar is out dated, cash only from what I saw and some staff members appeared ready for a stiff drunk and go home with scowls on their faces while another had some happy pills which seem to be a their peak performance. So not my typical place but kill some time and a beer it can not be that bad but again a Dive Bar has to be close by.

Seacoma Lanes is a great bowling alley. Staff is incredibly welcoming and really make you feel as if you are their best customer. Makes you not even notice those times where volume makes things slow.

Run from this place !!! We ate in the Restaurant and found a dark hair in our food, when we showed it to the waitress she said«Oh, i’m sorry» but didn’t offer to take it back to make a new dish, she laughed and made the comment that it wasn’t her hair color !!! OMG !!! Also, an item was left off of the food item I ordered, since the combination dish was already made she said they couldn’t add the item!!! WHAT ??? Low class service by a low class food server! Wait until she finds hair in her food… KARMA !!!

Secoma Lanes is the bowling alley I go to once a week with the league I am in. The place seems a little on the old side but everyone here is so incredibly friendly and nice that work here. Secoma Lanes has a restaurant and a shop where you can purchase bowling balls and shoes. I have eaten at the restaurant. It is mostly hamburgers and such. Not a whole lot of frills but it does taste decent. It would not be complete without some beers on tap which they do have. They just so happen to have one of my favorite beers, Mac and Jacks! Most of the lanes here work ok. I am not a good bowler but I bowl with people that are. Their complaints are often that the wooden floors are sticky and the lanes uneven. I did not seem to notice until I bowled on some lanes I don’t normally bowl on and it seemed like that it was not level. Overall though I think most of the lanes are ok. Secoma Lanes accepts only cash. So you will need cash for the general fee, shoe rentals and food. I am not sure if this also applies to the bowling shop or not. Best to just come prepared with cash. They do have an ATM if you do forget.

Read some reviews about Secoma Lanes and had to give my two cents… Staff is extremely accommodating & friendly. Pro shop is one of the best, lanes and conditions as well as climate control are always in good shape. Mike knows how to run a bowling Center!

Expensive, and every time you end a game if you want to play another you have to wait in line and pay in advance. The place is real nice and clean, the kids had fun but I now drive to kent and get twice the fun for ½ the price! plus you pay after your done so if you want to play more games you just play and they come around and take your food/drink orders with a smile!!!

Really expensive. Cash only. No music. Crappy service. Slanted lane. And no reservations. Will not be going back. However I rate three stars because I did get to bowl.

Decided to take my 2, 3, and 4 year old kids bowling for the first time(yes, I’m aware that I’m brave or stupid, but Dad needed to give Mom a break and was short in options/ideas). Herded the cats into Secoma Lanes in Federal Way and was greeted by a friendly man named Mike. The lanes were full so he directed me to the wall of video games and such, which turned out to be fun as the kids had never played the crane drop game and the four year old actually won a prize. A few minutes later we had a lane, and Mike took us to get a special size/weight bowling ball for young kids as well as a contraption that allows the child to roll the ball down a ramp(and have a chance of hitting the pins). Amazingly, my daughter bowled a strike on her first ball and the rest was history. We had a very fun time, and the kids talked about it the whole next day at preschool. In addition to the fact that we had a great time on a not sunny day(re most days in WA) the price was surprisingly affordable and the staff was kind and kid friendly. I’d highly recommend Secoma Lanes as a kid friendly attraction(don’t take away my brownie points and tell Mom but Dad had fun too). –BC

My husband and I came back here because Daffodil in Puyallup was too busy. We hadn’t been since they remodeled. The lanes are great now and the seating layout is better than most alleys. They have way more open space to socialize between frames. The only really bad thing that would turn me off from going here is because they are CASHONLY. A huge inconvenience when we forgot about that detail coming from Daffodil. We had to use their ATM– which included a fee and figure out how much to take out based on per-person per-game rate. No unlimited hour long bowling available. They did advertise some pretty good deals for their pro-shop on the overhead monitors. However it was a Sunday so the pro-shop was closed. =(

Warning: this place is CASHONLY. The lanes, the bar and the restaurant ALL are CASHONLY. We paid $ 24 dollars for two sets of shoes and two games. We made our $ 6 beers last.(You cannot get a beer in the classic bowling pin shape– one of my favorite things about going bowling!) And seriously, $ 6!!! Am I at a sporting event? No. Instead I am at Secoma Lanes on a Friday night and the place is packed! Let the people watching begin– the hair, the too tight of clothing, the deuchebag with the Love/hate tattoos on the back of his arm, and the seriously wasted woman trying to just throw the ball. As far as cleanliness goes, I sure did not find it in the restroom! Same goes for the mens’. One stall was completely out of commission and the garbage never was emptied even though I informed management about the conundrum about to be on their hands. Positives: Bowling with a metallic pink ball People watching Fair price Negatives: CASHONLY Dirty restrooms Pricey drinks
