You can take advantage of two facts.

Fact 1: I was raised in musical family. My father was a choral conductor and voice teacher at Michigan State University. Walter Damrosch was one of his mentors. He was also an accomplished flutist, having studied with William Kincaid. One of my brothers is a cellist in the Chicago Symphony. I play the violin, studying with Daniel Kobialka (when he was about 17), Heichiero Ohyama and Lyman Bodman. This musical background allows me to be sensitive to the needs of the pianist.
