Established in 1954.

McNamara Florist was founded in 1954 by Robert and Richard McNamara in the corner of a building owned by their father at 1111 E. 61^st Street in Indianapolis. Brother Richard soon decided to leave the new business and Bob continued on his own. The business grew and prospered and eventually expanded to occupy most of the building. The 1970’s and 80’s saw the opening of additional locations on the north side of Indianapolis.

Bob McNamara instilled values in the business, which are still a key part of who we are today. Those values include quality products; focus on taking care of customers, good taste and quality of design (especially when it comes to color combinations) and above all integrity when it comes to business.
