Our Advanced Auto Service & Tire Centers location on Kaspar Avenue in Flagstaff, just south of the Flagstaff Mall on Highway 89 and next door to the Super 8 Hotel, is a great location for tires and service. Our Flagstaff location has some of our most experienced service writers and ASE-​certified technicians. They can handle most any service from mounting and balancing tires on road force balancing machines to full engine and transmission service. We’re the Flagstaff tire experts. Our free shuttle service can both drop off and pick up customers from their homes, local businesses, and the NAU campus. We offer coffee and free wifi in our waiting room. We specialize in helping travelers, campers, and RVs.

Advanced Auto Service & Tire Centers are locally owned. we currently have 14 stores in Arizona, 3 in Scottsdale. One in each of the following cities Phoenix, Prescott, Prescott Valley, Glendale, Mesa, Tempe, Flagstaff, Chandler, Surprise and Gilbert. Manager, Advanced Auto Service & Tire Centers — Flagstaff

So many of our manager’s got their introduction to all things automotive from their fathers and Vaughn can add his name to this group. His father ran a small automotive repair shop in Viola, Kansas. At around age 16, Vaughn and his dad decided to finally fix up his father’s 1963 Chevrolet Nova SS (he had owned the car since he was a young man). Among many alterations and upgrades, the hands-​on rebuild of the stock 283 was the most time consuming. The Nova turned out so nice that he and his father would argue about who would get to drive it that day. Well Vaughn’s mother, getting tired of the arguing, put an end to the arguments by selling the Nova to a neighbor for $ 700. Neither Vaughn nor his dad ever saw a dime of that $ 700.

Vaughn is also one of our esteemed military veterans. Thinking he could get a break from working on cars non-​stop at his dad’s shop he decided to join the Army. And as luck and the Army would have it, Va

I highly recommend this place for your auto repair needs. The manager Vaughn is top notch and is always willing to make sure everything on your vehicle is taken care of and the customer is happy. I took my classic VW bug in for some repairs and when I got it back is runs like a champ and everything I needed fixed got replaced or fixed. Vaughn, you and your employees go above and beyond. After going to every tire shop in town we are thrilled with Vaughn, the manager, and his crew. Vaughn helped us locate the exact rims and tires we wanted within our budget. He not only called several rim suppliers he also emailed us for a week with photos showing different style rims on our truck body. What a great visual to see what our truck would look like with all the different rims. The shop is clean and they had refreshments. This shop is so professions. We highly recommend advanced auto service. They’ve gained our business for life.

So happy with Vaughn and the guys here! I was so impressed with how Vaughn really listened to what I wanted and worked for several days to find exactly what I was looking for at a price I was comfortable with. I had two bald tires. I had to make it to Los Angeles. The manager there helped me get two tires brand new tires installed for my van within my budget in the low two hundreds. Well what makes this unusual, is how this is a stark contrast with an unnamed tire store down the street that tried to sell me one tire for $ 500 bucks and the next best price was $ 410 for two tires installed. So as you can see the customer service was excellent and I highly recommend this store all the workers treat you like a valued customer not like a stranded target.

Great service! They are dog friendly as well. Took my puppy in and it wasn’t even a big deal. Everyone was friendly and the guy in front gave me a coupon for my next oil change. He also said to look for some more in the mail. PLUS the $ 15 odd for checking in. What a great deal.

I was planning to drive from San Francisco to Washington, D.C. and I experienced car trouble in Flagstaff, AZ. I went to Advanced Auto Service & Tire Centers. They took my car in immediately, diagnosed the problem and recommended me to an authorized shop that could make the repairs. Even though they spent over an hour on my car, they charged me nothing.
Additionally they connected me to the rental car company to help while getting service. They were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. They really took care of me. I’m very thankful.
I give them five starship!

Just an update: I was driving my car after a snowstorm and I heard a clink in my driver’s side tire. Suddenly my car sounded like it was dragging/​scraping a piece of metal on the ground but when I checked underneath, there was nothing in sight. When I backed up the sound went away, but came back in Drive. The sound was worse than nails on a chalkboard. I brought it over to Advanced Auto to have them look at it, and the guy told me this sounds crazy, but because Flagstaff is near a crater, there are bits of cinders and meteor debris that have scattered all over the area. Sometimes you get a little meteor stuck in your rotors because they contain so much iron. (?!?) I thought he was joking, but he got it out (says it happens all the time here) and now I have a souvenir from outer space! To top it off, he didn’t charge me a cent. Amazing experience.

I’ve been a customer here for six+ years. I moved to Sedona a couple of years ago and whenever I need any type of car service or maintenance, Advanced Auto Service is still my first choice. The drive to Flagstaff is worth it, as I completely trust their workmanship. They never try to up sell and they have always been thorough and reliable in their diagnoses, repairs and maintenance. I drive to California a number of times a year and always feel better knowing my car has been checked out here first. I greatly appreciate the integrity and expertise of the entire staff. I got a flat just outside Flagstaff. I live in Scottsdale and get my car worked on with Advanced there. So i looked up the one in Flagstaff… they were very nice. hooked me up with a free spare to get me back to the valley and ordered the tires to the Scottsdale store. thanks guys

I got a flat tire last night in the evening so by the time I got my car towed, everyone was closed. When we got to Advanced Auto, Vaughn (the manager there) was just stopping by by chance. He went out of his way to get my tire fixed so I could drive back home to Sedona instead of having to leave the car there, have someone pick me up, and come back the next day with someone dropping me off. Not only that, he charged me next to nothing for labor (about 2 hours of it due to more complications than we imagined). I will go out of my way to get tires here next time if at all possible.

I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews on this one. I have been coming here ever since I first discovered the great customer service a few years ago. Vaughn (I think thats how you spell it) has always been extremely helpful and upfront when it comes to working on my vehicle. You can tell that he values my vehicle just as i do, and he’s not just working like its some typical job. The guy is good at what he does and everyone I talk too who has been here, will always return for that reason as well as many more.

Alas, after my first review, my most recent visit was not as good. The customer service was great — fast & friendly service for a tire rotation. But they also checked out a number of things on my car, and recommended new brakes and new battery (not too surprising given the mileage). I chose to take my car to a local shop that specializes in imports for this work. They said the brakes were getting worn but were still good for another 10k or so, and the battery was fine. I like to think it was just inexperience or an error on the part of Advanced Automotive techs as I didn’t get any pressure to do the work with them.
Bottom line — Five stars for tires and customer service, but I’ll take my car elsewhere for any mechanical work.

These guys are great! We were just passing through headed for Colorado Springs when we got a flat on our camper. They patched it up quickly, and when it came time to pay for the work we were asked for nothing more than to have a good time. That is service at its finest. We camp at the KOA down the road, so when the time comes for tires on our tow vehicle we will make a trip to Flagstaff to camp and purchase the tires from them after this experience.
