History

Established in 1939.

ACCU is one of the largest credit unions in the state with over 60,000 members.

We began as a credit union that served employees of neighboring Arizona credit unions. At the time, members couldn’t borrow money from the institution for which they worked. Thus, they needed their own to join. Suffice to say, we’ve taken advantage of all that credit unions have to offer since the beginning.

In 1957, we changed our name in an effort distinguish ourselves as an industry leader. Now open to all communities across Arizona, we became Arizona Central Credit Union.

In 1979, our corporate sector also became independent. Their efforts continue to provide lending and investment services to other Arizona credit unions. That division became what we now know as FirstCorp.

ACCU is now able to focus only on our individual clients and local businesses. We offer personalized solutions tailored to the needs of our clientele, at affordable rates.

Hi, I’m Jeff Stafford, your manager at the West St branch in Flagstaff, Arizona. As an Arizona Central Credit Union branch manager, it is my goal to provide you with exceptional service and value. It’s our duty is to make sure you get financial advice that leaves you more confident, secure and capable. From setting up your first account, applying for a loan, or needing help in working towards retirement, we’re here to help. We also strive to provide the most helpful, kind customer service possible and work to support and engage our local community here in our district, the city of Flagstaff, AZ and around the state. With ACCU, we don’t view you as «just another customer», you’re a member and owner! We always give you the lowest rates, best information and care that we would expect for ourselves.
