Great choice! First timers at Bandana’s and we were not disappointed. The pork plate was more than enough(and I got the lunch size). Great smoky flavor on the pork! Baked beans had a smoky flavor with a hint of «sweet». So good! Cole slaw and corn were about as good as anywhere else. Ribs were tasty and tender. 1⁄3 rack was still too much! To top it off, the deep fried donut holes in powdered sugar were great! The iced tea was pretty good, too. Service was good and all the staff was pretty friendly. This will be our new BBQ Go To place!

Staff are not friendly. BBQ tastes poor and would not take coupon. Will never return. Overpriced BBQ that is poor quality!

My absolute favorite chain restaurant. Always consistent and a simple menu full of awesomeness. I go here at least 3 times a week. For the last 18 years. Lol

This is one of those SUPER rare restaurants where ALL5OFOURCHILDREN actually like something off of the menu. If you are a parent with multiple children then you know how miraculous this is. I’ve had a few things, the ribs, the pulled pork sandwich, even a grilled cheese. All of them were good. Especially the grilled cheese. What is up with the grilled cheese sandwiches at Bandana’s? They are weirdly delicious. No doubt about it, you’re gonna get a little sauce on your sleeve, so don’t wear that lacey ball-gown you’ve been dying to don. Multiple different sauces on the table give you a chance to diversify the flavors of your food, which is cool and fun. I’ve never had a bad experience here. All positive notes, plus nice servers.

Our BBQ was very good. The BBQ beans and coleslaw were great. The lunch size portions were plenty and came with two large slices of goey garlic toast.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to Bandanas. There so many other options around that this wasn’t on my list. Went for lunch, it was great. Started with the BBQ nachos. It had lots of chicken, sour cream, cheese, and jalapeños. So many times you run out of toppings and have plenty of dry chips left. There was plenty of toppings here. I like the sweet BBQ sauce on the nachos. If you like sweet on the nachos, you will like these. I will get this again. Got the third slab of ribs. It’s nice since you can get a third. Half. Or whole slab. Includes two huge slices of garlic bread and two sides. The ribs were tasty and you can put as much sauce as you’d like. I liked the sweet smoky sauce. I got the BBQ bean side and the fried corn. Sometimes the fried corn is over cooked and dry. It was good this trip. The BBQ beans were good too. I like mine sweeter, but I did enjoy it. You can also request the ‘hot’ sauce. ‘Spicy’ is on the table but hot is even hotter! They have mini tootsie roll pops as you leave! Plenty of parking. Wait staff was good.

In my opinion… for what’s it’s worth, Bandana’s is some of the best barbeque in the St. Louis area. I have visited this location twice there on on business and have not been disappointed! My favorite are the spare ribs and the baked beans. Having been a food inspector and currently a Food Safety Consultant( ), both restaurant locations were very clean, the food was served hot and more importantly their Health Inspection score showed no major/critical violations(I.e. cross contamination or poor personal hygiene). I do recommend when visiting the St. Louis area, you treat yourself to some good BBQ, you won’t be dissapointed. Thanks for reviewing.

Because I live in the area, this is the most convenient location for me. On a whole I really like the food at Bandanas. I love the coleslaw, with the turkey being one of my favorites, not to mention the garlic toast as an added plus to the meal. However, even though it’s close to home, this location is not my favorite and I am beginning to think there’s a problem with the sauce bottles. Whenever I have been there later in the evening and the wait staff is refilling the table condiments, it appears they are just squeezing the remnants of one sauce bottle into the contents of another. Because I have seen this more than once, I am thinking that could be the culprit that causes the grinding gut –ache, sometimes ending in a race for the bathroom upon returning home. It’s happened more than once, but after the initial colon cleansing, all seems to be well so I doubt it’s any kind of food poisoning. Because I get tired of that experience, I prefer to dine at another location, either Dorsett or when in the area, Fenton, and so far(fingers crossed, knocking on wood) I haven’t experienced any stomach disturbances… at least yet.

I have never had a bad meal at Bandana’s, you really can’t go wrong choosing any of their smoked meats. I always wind up ordering a combo plate because I can never decide on just one meat. I like their dry rubbed ribs because they prove to be the perfect vehicle for getting the various bar-b-q sauces from the squeeze bottles on the table to my mouth. If you want a salad, they only have bar-b-q ranch or regular ranch dressing. We ordered the large nacho appetizer, sour cream and jalapenos are optional. They use real cheese on the nachos, not that creamy orange stuff that passes for cheese used at some places. The meat is shredded and in a bar-b-q sauce places on top of a pile of taco chips. I would order them again. My only complaint was with the service. Our appetizer was served and just as we were starting to eat it, our server brought out our main courses and placed them on the table. Now we have to decide which plate we are going to eat hot and which we will eat cold. This seems to happen all too often in many restaurants. perhaps it is my fault for giving the server our entire order and assuming she knew that we wanted to eat our appetizer BEFORE our main dish was served. For warned is for armed, if you don’t want all of your meal piled on your table all at once, order your meal AFTER you have ordered and consumed your appetizers.

Bandana’s food is good. The staff left something to be desired, but overall, good meal.

Not my favorite Bandana’s location. The waitresses are pretty friendly, it just gets REALLY crowded at lunch time and it can take a long time to get your food. The restaurant itself just seems a little run down and in need of a fresh coat of paint.

My big brother loves this place. I don’t quite understand it. The bbq is okay, but I expected more from my Missouri visit. But hey! He picked up the check, so I can’t complain too much.

Decent BBQ with tasty sauces. One of the things I like about their selection is a few more choices of sides. I’m not into baked beans and cole slaw, so I’m really happy to have corn, baked potatoes, and green beans among my choices. And their garlic bread is really tasty!

OK I am not sure were to start. I like this place but it has started to get annoying in more than one way. I guess you could say I really do not understand why the price of food is getting so frigging high. My wife and I use to get out of here for under 11 – 13 bucks because we don’t order allot and now it has been over 18 every time. I guess the part that annoys me is that the amount of meat that comes on the baked potato that we both order is diminishing. Every time I have to complain and they bring out a messily extra bits of meat. I mean this same dish back when it was a couple bucks cheaper had 3 times the meat on it. I also love that they try to cover it up with all the cheese, but now the first thing I do is lift the cheese to find a couple pieces of beef on there. Seriously blows me away that they are charging more for less. I like the food but if something doesn’t change I will not be returning and I will drive out of my way to get good BBQ and food in general. On a positive note I do like the sauces, Like I have said before I am a sauce guy and I do like me some sauces at the place. I think that’s is why I go back because the flavor combinations that I can create with the 5 – 6 sauces that they have. I even add some to the baked beans to add some moisture to them. Anyways I would say that this Chain needs to take a look at what it is doing, I used to go here about every week back in the days when you were actually getting what you pay for but now I maybe go 1 every 2 months and it is less and less full every time we go. So maybe others are getting tired of paying good money for nothing.

I came here on a Thursday afternoon with a group of approximately 15 for a work lunch. Service was good. The food was to be as expected. Certainly no complaints and massive props for having Diet Dr. Pepper. Any restaurant that has a diet soda besides coke or pepsi is alright in my book!

We often come here for family dinners, as a group of 6 or more, the service has almost always been excellent. All of us almost always get the same thing, the pork luncheon special, and the meat comes cooked, cut up, and ready for you to spice up with your own picking of sauce. I think the price is great for the amount of food you get, and the one time that I got a large portion of fat on my plate, it was quickly replaced. I really cannot say enough about the wait staff at this Bandana’s.

I was a frequent patron at this location when I lived in St. Louis. North County isn’t exactly the mecca of fine dining, but this place was ok for what it was– a wannabe sports bar that sells bbq. As I don’t eat pork, I generally get the same thing every time– which is either beef brisket or smoked turkey. I’ve had them both here and they were mediocre at best. The staff was always gracious and attentive, but Bandana’s is basically another chain bbq joint that doesn’t offer anything new.

The food was so-so! The ribs were tough and the taste was ok! You definitely need sauce to halfway enjoy the food! I did like the sweet and smokie sauce. The Baked beans looked like they had been sitting under a heatlight and dried out! Even the sausage was a little tough and somewhat dry. One positive note, the waiter was very nice and engaging! I’ve had their food before and it was a lot better than this time. I’ll try them again and if they’re not better then I won’t return!

They’ve added some new stuff to the menu(possibly taking my hint) and I think it’s awesome. Sadly, I still stick to the same things every time I go here(bbq chicken nachos or some form of sandwich). Either way, Bandana’s deserves the extra star. =P
