AWFUL UNHELPFUL GATE AGENTS WHO TAKE PLEASURE IN PREVENTING PASSENGERS GOING HOME
At check in we were told they would get us on to an earlier flight that was currently boarding. The agent said they would call ahead no problem. There was no line and we got through security in a breeze — I literally ran through the terminal holding my belt in my hand with my shoes untied (I wanted to get home to my fam). When we got there another passenger just entered the gate but the gate agent said he wasnt going to let me in. I dont know why he decided to stop with me — the check in agent actually showed up at the same time and said all he had to do was hit a button and let me walk in. I guess the gate agent took one look at me and decided he didnt like me. He was not apologetic and his attitude could best be described as smug.
Of course the next flight was delayed.

The disrespect this company has towards their customers is unbelievable! Our flight which was supposed to leave at 7:55 pm ended up leaving at 9:00am the day after, instead of telling us the flight was cancelled from the start they made us wait, and would give us a different story every time. They did not pay for hotel or transportation, which they had promised they would. They gave us false information, and we were treated unbelievably bad. One of their staff members even told me to leave her desk, that she would not attend my needs, and that she had nothing to do with what was going on, I filed complaints on multiple employees from this company and ask for the money they promised from their headquarters and they did not listen to us, instead they sided with their rude, disrespectful employees, and did not help us what so ever. This company gave us checks with no funds to cover our hotel and transportation, they never gave us the money we were entitled and promised. They are liars and I don’t trust anything they say. This company is the worst! No wonder the staff was so disrespectful not even their headquarters know how to work! I do not recommend DELTA and I will never fly with them again! I truly wish I could give them no stars. A company that lies and does not respect their customers doesn’t deserve to be in business!

Just went through terminal C Delta. No issues at all. Pleasant staff and both on terminal and on plane. Go Delta!

Love the communication at the gate. Announcing details of boarding, details of any delays, etc. You can tell this airline has spent time investing in employee positive communication skills to their customers. Loved the friendly employee bill carter at the ft myers airport. Welcomed each passenger by name. The friendly atmosphere spreads with nice employees like that

Delta brings out a basket of snacks for their passengers who are delayed a little longer — which actually generated a few dozen smiles. Smart move, Delta team. This is just one of the reasons I’ve been flying Delta more frequently. I did treat myself to a little M&Ms snack, even though my flight today is still on schedule… tentatively. Since Sunday night was a bit of mayhem, I feel like I earned it with my patience and positivity. Thank you!

Yeah… so just re-​read my review of LaGuardia Airport which part of my expression of why Delta is getting the rating they are getting from me.
–Heavy congestion at their terminals
–Rude food vendors
–Delayed departures, very frequently
–Unorganized
–Terminal reps talking over one another when making announcements.
Just one big clusterf**k

Horrible customer service. Possibly never fly w delta again.
I had to change my flight return date and i called customer service. I got transferred 5 different times to fix a minor problem. I had to repeat the same info — my flight #, my personal info, what date i wanted it changed to, my credit card info, etc etc… Finally i got one helpful person to complete the simple task. Imagine if i had a complicated issue?

Terminal D rocks !!!
Fast check in, flew through TSA, well, it is 6 am.
Fantastic dining options. IPads everywhere and staff with warm, tropical accents. I could travel for a living if every terminal was this welcoming.

Well after my last review and survey to Delta Airlines about my «Delta-​Comfort Upgrade» for $ 39. They wrote me back and are giving me 2,500 skymiles due to my dissatisfaction of mt extra 2 inches of leg room. I am more satisfied now. Much closer to a free flight now.

DELTA SUCKS!
IF there was a negative star i would give one i never leave reviews i just stop using the services period. I am outraged and I want people to know about it.
After dealing with the loss of a family member from an agonizing long cancer battle I booked a FIVE days mini vacation to Bahamas! I booked the earliest flight to get there early with connecting flight from NY. We arrived to NY the boarding started on time but shortly after check point they announced that one engine is out we must evacuate the plain! Three hours later different plain arrived quickly they started the boarding shortly after check point Pilot announced the second bad news this plains compressor is out and they evacuated the plain again!
First they suggested to call Delta directly and complaint (this wasn’t the operator fault i felt bad for them) called Delta offered $ 100.00 credit and told us take it or go back home we will give your money back.
Second option was to try a different gate and see if they can reroute and get us to our destination maybe today or maybe tomorrow. The third option was to wait there and see what they can do for us! .the last insult was that we had to deal with a rude and obnoxious staff member who shouldn’t have been there.
To make the story short after 8 hours wait they fixed the first plain and got us on board but when we arrived to Bahamas we had to wait another hour because of the delay! so was the beginning of our trip!
On the way back home our gate was assigned we had few hours to kill not realizing that Delta changes the gates without announcement and we almost missed our flight.
i waited to see if anyone will contact for follow up, if this was my business after screwing up that badly I would contact immediately but guess what they didn’t. i called and I complained first for safety and second for genuinely messing up our trip and and this time they generously offered me $ 50.00 credit that is just covering the luggage fees. Another insult after refusing the generous offer they said the will keep the complaint in the records.
WOW what a messed up customer service.

I have to admit that I am incredibly, pleasantly surprised how quickly I was able to get through security on the morning of Christmas Eve & the extremely friendly & courteous TSA employees! I suppose they make double time for working on holidays & since it was 5:30am, they were in jovial spirits. The Delta terminal & the food options are quite nice & there are many options for food & drinks, as well as tablets everywhere for you to look at various things online, as well as charge your electronic devices. The plane boarded on time & left on time & I had a most pleasurable experience! Yay Delta & my sky miles!

I’m a loyal Delta flyer who won’t entertain the idea of any other airline! Inflight staff are always friendly and attentive. Delta terminal is packed with great (and fast) food with lots of tables w/​ipads and charging stations. My only complaint (where 1 star was lost) is the lack of seating as a result of having so many tables for dining. It is constantly crowded with passengers standing around the gates that it really is frustrating and sometimes impossible to get to where you need to go.

This is a decent airline. Delays aren’t terrible and the service is reasonably good. They offer «free» wifi but only if your web surfing only consists of the Delta website.
I prefer JetBlue because they have televisions on all of their planes and have free FlyFi where you can surf the entire net, not just their webpage.

Delta + anything that goes with it = Atlanta. This is one of the few non-​stop airlines left in my city to travel to and from NY nonstop. When I travel I’m normally in a small aircraft with tiny overhead space which I like to call a «puddlejumper». It seats 50 people at best.
Your carry on suitcase must be checked at the gate but if you are carrying something small like a tote then you would be able to fit it in the overhead bin. There have been times where I’ve actually hit my head just getting into my seat.
Still the flight is pleasant from Pittsburgh to NY and home again. The crew and staff are attentive to my needs. Sometimes I get a snack and a beverage. Other times a glass of water. They usually offer Wi Fi on these flights but with so short airtime it is not worth the time or money.
Now for the downsides. Delta has recently adopted a 3 tier fare policy where if you want the cheapest fare, you must consent to the following:
1. Last to board
2. If no overhead space is available when you board you must check whatever you have.
3. There is a $ 25.00 bag fee for each checked item.
So I joined their skymiles program and got their American Express card which permits you one checked piece of luggage for free for yourself and anyone who is traveling under your reservation. If you opt for the 2^nd tier which is the non refundable ticket then you can board after special needs and the gold and platinum cardholders. Usually there isn’t a lot in that group. The card itself carries a $ 95.00 annual fee but for what traveling I do it is worth the money.
Delta’s hub is in Atlanta and I go there on occasion. LGA and Hartsfield-​Jackson airports have both been reviewed under separate listings.
LaGuardia has 2 terminals for Delta which will be part of that 5 year renovation project scheduled to start next year. Currently both terminals are connected by a long walkway and they now have something like a supermarket food court in the middle. They have bars, counter spaces and other places where you can sit and use their complimentary IPADs for internet use. Pittsburgh’s locale is in the «D» wing and they have charging stations for portable devices.
So far I haven’t had any real problems with Delta but it will be interesting to see what they do with it once they renovate LaGuardia.

Never have I ever been to a gate this posh. And at LaGuardia too??? Delta Airlines really has gone all out. Tons of space, lounge chairs, counters with iPads for everyone, and more food options than you’ll know what to do with.
Flight was on time and flight attendants were helpful. Maybe it’s because I was flying to Atlanta and that’s where their HQ is. In any case, my trust in Delta is renewed.

I’ve never had a positive experience with delta. Last time I wasn’t assigned a seat and although purchased the flight ticket was told that they were overbooked and had to wait standby for about 2 – 3 flights!
This time around I was told that my standard size carry on luggage doesn’t fit in their overhead compartments which I examined when I boarded and saw that my luggage clearly fit. Above that I tried to plead with the stewardess due to the fact that I have fragile items needed for a presentation that I am making as soon as I land and all she could do for me was place a «fragile» sticker on my bag that fell off before I even handed it to be checked, when I asked the woman I was giving my bag to for another she said she didn’t have one and placed the sticker that just fell off right back on. What?
The worst part is that there is an entire overhead compartment that is empty right above my seat!
I miss JetBlue…
Other than my negative experience w/​customer service — I literally feel like I’m riding in a plane from 1999. There’s wifi, but it’ll cost you. No outlet at your seat which is a blow when you can only stream delta’s selected movies and tv shows from your personal device. Which brings me to there being no communal television or television provided on the seat in front of you so I hope you brought your own entertainment. In addition was a «more comfort» seat that had brown residue on the seat (either melted chocolate or gum) which makes me question whether they even cleaned the plane before boarding — and by the way the seat costs you an additional $ 35.
Currently sitting at a standstill at 8:30 for a departure time of 7:59am. Over a 30 min delay sitting in a plane is ridiculous especially now that I have to also wait for baggage claim after I land and hopefully still make my presentation on time!
My one star is dedicated to there being Starbucks coffee on board!

***This review is specifically for the Delta terminal from NY Laguardia to Chicago OHare.
ALL terminals should be like this. Seriously, there are 4+ gates flying to Chicago in it’s own private little hub. Inside there is one security check in, but honestly, why would you need more for this tiny area.
Once you go through security there is a HUGE lounge area with plenty of comfy chairs, lots of outlets, USBs everywhere. There is also a café in the middle where you can get snacks and plenty of tables to sit and eat. There are also cubbies where you can sit if you need to read or continue doing work at a table. To the left there are conference rooms too for larger parties.
WOW is all I can say! I’m assuming that flying Delta to Chicago from NY is extremely popular or else they wouldn’t have invested this much in making customers happy.
My flight began boarding and flew out right on schedule!

In terms of flying I probably fall somewhere in the middle like Goldilocks and her porridge, I don’t fly a ton, but I fly more than most (just right). Lately I fly mainly Delta and have been very pleased with everything thus far.
I enjoy that Delta still offers First Class, I may not have status to enjoy First Class however the option is always nice to have. The seats seem more spacious than other airlines and for the most part I am perfectly comfortable for my four hour flights. Flights are on time and the flight attendants are friendly and accommodating. It is also nice to see that not all airlines have eliminated snacks, sometimes I just need a little something to tide me over and Delta always has me covered.
Thanks to Delta my traveling needs are taken care of. I will continue to be loyal as long as they continue to take care of me.

Shameful that Delta partners with Allianz for travel insurance.
Allianz is an absolute scam.
I had to cancel a trip to Los Angeles for job-​related reasons. I submitted the claim and supporting paperwork as requested. They rejected the claim. When I clicked on the link to learn why they rejected it, the page didn’t load, so I don’t know. I’m stuck with a flight I’m not going on, out of $ 250.
Their online system is shoddy and often doesn’t work.
They didn’t communicate with me that they rejected my claim.
Terrible waste of money, and shameful that Delta partners with them. It’s corporate greed and legalese at its worst.
What’s the point of travel insurance when they reject your claim anyways?
