I got the fried dumplings. And for its price, is soo cheap compared to other restaurants. Its pork. They’re not hand made. It comes from a frozen package in the freezer right next to you when you order. Its not cooked fresh either. They’re put into a container right after they’re reheated. I got 10 and they were warm. I had to reheat them in the microwave at my friends house. Its taste was good. It wasn’t amazing. But mediocre. I’ll probably get these right after college for a quick meal and for its $ 1.50 for 5 fried dumplings.

Unfortunately the dumplings that hey served me isn’t freshly made. Slightly cold and tastes like left over. Not sure if this is the case at this place

Great dumplings and hot & sour soup. They taste like Vanessa’s dumplings from China Town. Will recommend to friends.

Oh, I so wanted this place to be amazing! Cheap dumplings in flushing? Yes please! Ambience: hole in wall. 3 tables to sit. But, has an A from health department so that’s good. First thing I did was order the fried dumplings(5/$ 1.50) and hot soy milk. Then I sat and watched what other ppl ordered as I ate. Pros: the hot soy milk was awesome. Slightly sweetened, it was just what I had been craving. It comes in a styrofoam cup. Nothing fancy, just goodness. I wish I could start every morning with this. Cons: the dumplings. The fact that the dumplings are a con is tragic for a dumpling place. My complaint isn’t even about the taste and seasoning. That was good. My problem is that these guys were pre-cooked and sitting, covered, in some kind of warmer, before given to me. Come on. You are a dumpling place. Is it asking too much to have em cooked after I order, not who knows how long before? That is your specialty, for goodness sake. It’s in the name of your store. Shouldn’t you out a tad more effort into this? Btw, I went at 11:45 am on a Wednesday, so this can’t be an end-of-the-day excuse. So the result are dumplings with a slightly rubbery coat with absolutely no fried crunchy goodness, with a tasty filling. Also, these are Japanese gyoza sized, not huge like the fried dumplings I’m used to seeing in NYC Chinatown. Owner, if you ever read this, know that your resto would do so much better if you fried these dumplings to order. I know it’s extra work, I know cooking them beforehand is a time saver. But I’m 100% sure you’ll get more customers and make more money. Ok, so watching the customers order, seems like many ordered the pork buns(the 4 piece order) and soup(the hot and sour?) instead of the dumplings. I will try those next time.

Hole in the wall Mom and Pop dumpling shop — 10 for $ 2.50! If you’re lucky, they are hot and fresh. If you’re late, the dumplings are already broken up in containers of 5 and left on the steam tray where they get colder and dry out. Bonus they always have a pot of hot and sour soup available, but again this cools down after it is made and late orders are tepid. Good for when you are low on time and need a quick snack.

Cheap dumplings! You get 5 for $ 1.25 so you can’t expect much for the price, but they are good. They can be a bit bland, and there aren’t any options except pork dumplings. A little Sriracha sauce goes a long way. The other items aren’t bad. If you want decent dumplings on a budget, this is the spot!

Too bad I don’t eat pork anymore! This place serves good dumplings and almost everything on their menu has pork! Their pan fried chives dumpling has pork too! That one usually is serve without any meat at other places. Also their radish dumpling has pork in their as well! Disappointing for me but a good place for people who don’t mind

My niece loves this place. If I’m ever around during a weekend, she wants the xiao long bao from here. A canned drink and 4 buns come up to $ 3. Not bad. They also have what appears to be fresh soy milk. I had the boiled dumplings here before and they were alright and very affordable. I saw other customers had a good mix of boiled and fried dumplings. I haven’t tried a XLB yet as my niece doesn’t like to share ;-; I will one day when I go without her muahaha

Yes! Finally a cheap dumpling place! I just can’t believe it’s taken me this long to find it. Me and my bf were actually just talking about how we wished there were more cheap eats in flushing like there is in Chinatown, especially dumplings. We were actually in T-swirl next door when we passed by and saw $ 1.50÷5 fried dumplings. While I still love White Bear’s steamed dumplings drenched in chili oil, I do sometimes crave crispy doughy fried ones, and I’m pretty sure this is as cheap as it gets in Flushing. The staff barely speaks english(except for the numbers that correspond to the order) as my bf had to translate for a few people there. Otherwise, dumplings are fresh and cooked to order so they come out piping hot. The skin is nice and doughy, not too thin and not too thick and just the right amount of crisp. ALSO, the sriracha sauce isn’t too watered down!

Mom and pop dumpling shop! Great flavors and fresh homemade goodness. They got tea eggs too. $ 1.50 for 5 dumplings is a great price that can’t be found in Manhattan or Brooklyn Chinatown anymore.

A mom and pop shop off roosevelt avenue. The location is a block away from the main traffic area. Mainly locals of flushing come here. The store is run by wenzhou owners. Finally, someone that sells wenzhouness that sells dumpling. Customer service is friendly as they understand english orders. Don’t worry, I tested it out and ordered in both languages. I tried to get fancy sometimes and speak broken Mandarin. Holla on being diverse. Ideal place to get dumpling, soy bean curd and chinese pancakes if you are new to the dumplings scene. The store is patient with customers and give you time to order. The dumpling and soy bean curds are what I usually order. They are both solid. $ 1.50 for 4 dumplings. $ 1.50 for a small soy bean curd and $ 2.75 for the large. I come here when I have a craving, but the food is not to the level where I will come out of the way. Nice store and nice people.

This is my favorite cheap dumpling spot in Queens. 1.25 I think for 5 dumplings(might be 1.50 now). Their beef noodle soup is great too. It is also the FRIENDLIEST dumpling spot in Flushing. All the food is good. Nothing fancy and no crazy menu. Mostly visited by locals which also says something.

The fried dumplings are great and the vegetable rolls are even better! They have an «A» food sanitary grading and they’re prices are cheap! They have seating available if you wanted to stay and eat. The guy who runs the place is very nice but the girl on the other hand always seems annoyed. Over all I give this place 4 stars.

LOVE the Soft and WARMTOFU aka DouFu Fa ~! A great dessert for the winter. They provide brown sugar, which gives it a hint of sweetness. Also, the steamed pork buns are yummy as well. These are the two items I normally order when I walk in for take-out. A perfect match for a nice comforting snack! ***However, I would pass on the fried dumplings and tea eggs. It appears the fried dumplings are cooked way beforehand and left on the stove cold for a very long time because the dumplings are hard and cold. The dumplings end up very unappetizing after reheating. I wouldn’t order the tea eggs as well. They are not marinated long enough so there is no tea taste. And plus, $ 1 for 2 eggs is so not worth it.

This is my dumpling spot. Its not the best but its so close to me that I always end up here. Its a tiny storefront with two tables and some counter seats that face the window which is fine because you can sometimes catch the hot firemen walking around near the firehouse down the block. its a necessity for me to have my fresh soy milk in the morning. whether it be hot or cold I usually ask them to add a little sugar. I never really have problems communicating with the staff. there is usually a person there that understands me. its an offshoot of a dumpling place in chinatown and I would have to say that it is one of the cleanest dumpling places I have ever been to and of course like all dumpling places very cheap. Pay by dolla dolla bill ya’ll. There is hardly a wait for me to get my items. i guess because it is not in the main part of flushing but they satisfy my dumpling needs just fine. I usually get the pan fried pork and leek dumplings(wor teep) and douse that vinegary soy sauce all over it. And of course speckle it with sriracha. they are not the biggest but i like the firm skin and juicyness inside. They also have a small noodle soup that comes with two slices of beef. if you get the dumplings in soup it is separate. There is no dumpling noodle soup. They have something that looks like pan fried pork buns which remind me of tiny baos, doughier like bread on the outside with a nugget of meat inside. Feel free to add soy sauce to this too. Everytime i bite into one i feel like i am eating little kirbys and into the belly of the beast they go. one of my favorite items here is the hot and sour soup. I like it because they also serve fresh dofu fa(the warm kind) which is tofu soy pudding. You can get a half and half of the hot and sour soup mixed with tofu pudding. if hot and sour soup is too intense for you this is the way to go. The extra tofu pieces balance out the spicyness. they also have scallion pancake goodies and tea egg. I have come here close to closing time and they have made a fresh batch of dumplings for me. Dont forget your utensils and napkins and to add sauce to your dumplings when you do take out. Avoid sticking holes in your bag and into your side(ouchie) by placing your forks spears up or wrapping it yourself. They also sell bags of dumplings you can bring home to make yourself. Come here if you are craving dumplings to grab a cheap meal in the quieter part of flushing. Unilocal 100 challenge: review #6

Good crispy little dumplings. They weren’t too greasy, but they might have been sitting in a bin for a while judging by the luke warm temperature. Service was lacking, but not expecting really anything from these types of places. It’s worth it if you want something to munch on, and you happen to pass by this place.

It could’ve been a 4 star, but we have to lower it due to somewhat rude service. We ordered beef noodle, and because we wanted to share it, my bf took one empty plastic bowl. The only single people working there, a lady, get out from her place behind counter, come to our table, mumble something and switch the plastic bowl to styrofoam cup! Okay we get it, it was cheap($ 1 for 4 dumplings and $ 4 for beef noodle soup) and we are still in recession, but surely one plastic bowl won’t cost that much and why not asked it in a nicer way? We got the noodle almost instantly, and had to wait around 5 minutes for the dumplings. The dumplings was hot and crispy, I like it but my bf thought it was too hot. For the price, the beef noodle soup was quite good. All in all, we’ll come here again…

Their pork & chive fried dumplings taste pretty spot-on(compared to my parents’ dumplings). Full of flavor with their skins nicely seared on the bottom with delicate thin folds of the wrapper on top. Dofu pudding is smooth, fresh, and healthy. Haven’t tried their fresh soy milk. Everything is SO cheap. The ambiance feels like another kitchen with a cash register in it, but there is a sitting area along the windows and 3 tables. It’s decent enough for quick, fast, and cheap food. Apparently they used to own a space in the Lower East Side and now have moved to this location. The owner’s seem to have a lot of regulars, a pretty diverse neigborhood crowd. One teenager with a skateboard came it and asked if he could pay them tomorrow because he didn’t have cash on him at the time. No Problem. He got 3 tea soaked eggs and 10 dumplings.

This place is small, and reminds me of Prosperity Dumplings in Manhattan, though it is bigger. Not so much for the dumplings, however. It’s 5 small dumplings(perhaps 70% the size of the ones in Chinatown) for $ 1.25, and you can get a bag of 30 pieces for $ 5. Not the best in terms of flavor, either. It’s cheap, but Manhattan’s cheaper. Once again, Manhattan(greater than sign) Flushing. It’s a myth that things are better and cheaper in Flushing.
