Masjid Hazrati Abu Bakr Siddique

Allhamdulliah this is a very beautiful Masjid near Flushing High School with a nice spacious Parking lot in the back of it. Only thing is once you park on a Juma Day, patience is required to Exit. :) Salamualikum to all my brothers & sisters.

When Allah (subhanahu wa t’aalaa) describe a Masjid (Mosque in Arabic), he describes it with the «type of men» that goes to the masjid, NOT by how the masjid looks like, or its interior or its exterior. Read with me from Surat Al-​Noor [24: 36 – 37]
36 «In houses (mosques) which Allah has ordered to be raised (to be cleaned, and to be honoured), in them His Name is remembered [i.e. Adhan, Iqamah, Salat (prayers), invocations, recitation of the Qur’an etc.]. Therein glorify Him (Allah) in the mornings and in the afternoons or the evenings,
37 Men whom neither trade nor sale (business) diverts from the Remembrance of Allah (with heart and tongue), nor from performing As-​Salat (Iqamat-​as-​Salat), nor from giving the Zakat. They fear a Day when hearts and eyes will be overturned (out of the horror of the torment of the Day of Resurrection).»
Having said that, here is my evaluation:
PROs: Nice clean masjid. Close to my house.
CONs: There are many bidaa’s in this masjid unfortunately. For example, the imam makes dowaa after every regular salat, and that is something prophet Mohamed (saw) and the sahaba never did. When I advised him that this is bidaa’, he argued against it and said that the Hanafi madhab are OK with dowaa after the salat. To my understanding, the Hanafi madhab was OK with the dowaa after the salat ONLY for the purpose of educating people on how to make zikr, and NOT as a regular every single salat thing. When people make salat, they also make lots of mistakes that can take away from their salat, such as not raising the hand with Takbeerats, or not saying Ameen. Again, those are things that prophet Mohamed (saw) told us to do and did in his salats (i have all the proofs for those interested).
To say that Imam ABu Hanifa did this is unfair to the imam. If you read the books of one of his students (Abu Hanifa himself did not write any books), Mohammed ibn Al-​Hasan OR al-​Kafi or al-​Mabsoot (both of those later books were written by scholars familiar with the madhabs fiqh and not too long after Abu Hanifa passed), you will see that Abu Hanifa was so eager to follow prophet Mohamed (saw) and nothing of this bidaa they do these days.
The masjid also closes between the salat at times. If you go to the masjid early on at Fajr for example, or between Zuhr and Asr, you wont be able to get in as the gates would be closed. How can a masjid ever close?
May Allah (sw) guide them and us to the straight path, Ameen.
PS. I gave the masjid a 2 ratings, because it is a masjid, not because of the deviants that goes on there :(

I was growing up and i remember seeing this mosque being bulit. It is my home. The most beautiful and wlegant mosque. I love it. The peiple there are so kind. Alhumdulilah i pray there jumah, Eid, and Tarawee.

The Masjid Hazrati Abu Bakr Siddique — Islamic Center is one of Flushing’s most beautiful mosques. Located in the residential neighborhood of North Flushing (141 – 47 33^rd Avenue), the striking white façade and blue minarets are pleasing to the eye. Inside, the facilities are modern and spacious. The Friday prayer service starts at 1PM and the Saturday prayer service starts at 8AM. Parking could be an issue for those driving to the mosque. Public transportation is recommended. Beautiful exterior, lovely interior, adequate bathrooms, good wudu (ablution) area. Parking is an issue.
