A true gem in the community. Delicious street food including kebabs on a stick. Having a long day? Going to a light lunch? Coming back from an unfulfilling meal? Thinking of a snack. This cart is the answer. It’s part of what makes Flushing awesome.

Spicy meats on a stick??? Yes please! I was in the area last week and wanted a quick bite to eat, this place had some great ratings on Unilocal so I gave it a gander. OMG! I made a great choice. Had the lamb, chicken, and squid. Chose the spicy option(you don’t have to go spicy if you don’t want to) and my mouth was pleasantly surprised. If I lived around here, I’d grab one of those meat on a sticks all the time, I would so be a regular addicted meat on stick fanatic. The old guy that works the cart is super friendly and you can tell he loves what he does. Each stick is 1.50. A little bit of a wait for it to cook but it’s all good. If your in the area give it a try. He also has gizzards and other exotic meats. He was on Kissena and Sanford when I tried it out.

Familiar smell mmmm. This was my first time to check out Chipotle with my bf at late night. Lots of people waited to grab some tacos to go. The chain store was located in a strip mall, along with Walbum Supermarket. Have spacious parking lot space. The food was better than Taco Bell but nothing special, more pricy. Servers were good and patient. Salsa was spicy hmm.

My 1st choice for Mongolian BBQ Skewers … I been coming to this spot for awhile & I just keep coming back. The Lamb, Beef & Squid are on point, full of flavor & tender, always cooked just right. The Spicy seasoning is addicting with a KICK! Spicy & Xtra Spicy are the only way to go :). Try not to stand next to the BBQ Cart while the skewers are being prepared. The smoke produced by the grill latches onto clothing … You will smell, like a giant Charcoal Grill The Entire Day! FYI: Prepare to wait at least 5 minutes … $ 1.25 per skewer!

A must stop in Flushing! Grilled fresh meat over charcoal. $ 1 – 2 prices and more flavor then any Halal stand! Yummy!

Going back for more soon. Tried Lamb, Beef and Beef Tendon. Lamb and beef are awesome, makes soulvaki seem costly, chunky and tasteless in comparison. $ 1.25 still a bargain. Beef Tendon was amazing, like eating textured fat without oil and greasiness hahah.

This guy is the absolute best BBQ food cart in Flushing! He has such a large selection of meats and his seasoning is not too crazy overpowering with cumin and stuff. He is usually parked on the corner of Main St and Sanford Ave in Flushing. There is always a crowd around him and you may have to wait in line, but it is so worth it. Smoke is billowing right over Main St, so you can’t miss it. I hope this guy never leaves!

This place is clutch. For the uninitiated. Grab the chicken and ask for just a light sprinkling of spice. If you like a kick ask for them to give you a good amount. This is hot enough to make even the bravest soul sweat.

Please note they are not Mongos, just Chinese. Awesome food on sticks. Everything is cooked to order, takes longer but so much better other stands in Flushing. They are around afternoon to late late night. Always get squid and beef.

If you not that hungry and just craving for some munchies, For a $ 1 Skewer it would definitely brings you a smile. They have alot of varieties for you to choose from. You can ask for spicy or not spicy. I usually get the Lamb and wings. I heard chicken gizzard taste good as well. If you never had Mongolian BBQ Cart, now is the time for you to get it!

Seriously brings me back so many happy memories of experiences in China and for only $ 1– you simply can’t beat it! This cart alone would sway me slightly in favor of moving closer to Flushing! Since each trip there is quite a journey– a lamb skewer from the cart is an ABSOLUTE must. I don’t think I’ve ever made a trip to Flushing without buying one! haha The meat is cooked to such tenderness and spiced to perfection! I’m not a big fan of the chili powder. as i think it covers up the original flavor of the meat but to each his/her own! Just writing this review makes my mouth water as I think about how delicious it is! Haha that tells you how good this place truly is– and for only a $ 1…why not try it?

You’ll always get tasty treats from any of these carts. $ 1 for a freshly grilled skewer over charcoal — serioulsy? We grabbed a quick snack opting for a lamb and chicken gizzard each and asked for extra spicy. Delicious! Why can’t we have carts like these in SF?!?

Love the squid skewers. They are well-seasoned, tender, and fresh off the grill. Plus, they will only run you $ 1/skewer. Perfect for snacking on as you stroll through Flushing. Most carts have the chicken, beef, lamb, and quail eggs but not the squid. I am venturing that the squid is also the healthiest option since the other meats are usually very fatty to preserve the juiciness during the grilling process. I also tried the lamb, which was flavorful but on the fatty side. Tastewise, it didn’t really stand out from the ones available at the other kebab carts/stands.

This is the most meat I’ve ever gotten for $ 1. And honestly, it’s one buck. You can’t really complain. The meat is actually cooked when you order it, rather than reheated like most other places would do it. I didn’t quite understand their system until after I stood in line for a few minutes. Then I realized that there is no line. You just walk up to them and tell them what meats you want, and wait until they cook it. They can make many at a time, so the wait is really just for your meat to cook. At the end, they’ll ask if you want it spicy or not. I asked for extra spicy, but I didn’t like the chili powder they put on. It was dry and took away from the juice of the meat. But still, it’s $ 1.

Tucked away on the Northwest corner of Sanford & Main you will find a smoke-filled cart with every type of fatty meat on a stick for a buck each. Thus far I’ve had the beef, chicken, & lamb. I plan on reporting back on the squid. Must order them spicy so they can douse it with seasoning that gives it just enough of a kick. Sometimes the lines can get long and you’ll have to really stick your order in, so don’t be shy. Great bang for your buck(literally)!

Delicious? Check! Spicey? Check! Cheap? Check! If you love meat on a stick(and who doesn’t?), this is the place for you. Delicious, fresh and cheap meat! Ask for spicy and they make it fiyah! for you. They have all of the major meat groups: chicken, beef, lamb and squid. And for $ 1 a stick, who can ask for anything more. It’s freshly made to order, so there may be a little bit of a wait, but it’s worth it.

This is quite seriously, one of the best kebabs I’ve ever had in my life. They’ve been here a long time, longer than many of the other kebab carts you see on every street corner of Flushing. They’ve remained consistently good, serving Mongolian style BBQ meats. My favorite by far is the lamb skewer doused with dry spice. For $ 1 a skewer, the meat is not obnoxiously big; rather than chunks, its wrapped all the way up the skewer. The meat is fatty, succulent, perfectly cooked, and fantastically flavorful. Heaven on a stick. There are often lines here, and its a chaotic ordering process. Basically, just get their attention and put in your order, and make sure you pay attention to when its ready or someone else might snag it from you. Their hours are irregular and they’re not always there, but if you see them, drop what you’re doing and get it.

I’ve tried most of the similar BBQ carts in the area, but now I just stick with this one. Of all the lamb kebabs I’ve tried, theirs is the bestest: tender and juicy meat interspersed with yummy fat. «Da la» will get it extra spicy. They also have lamb kidneys, but expect to wait 20 minutes for those.

FOODCRAWLSTOP #12: So my friends and I stopped here because, well, we have noses. And if you happen to own a nose, I don’t know how you could possibly resist meat on a stick for $ 1. The beef is better than the chicken, but both are tasty. Get it with ample spice, and buy 15 of them, for reals. of note for those following the food crawl list, STOP #13 was a little bakery I don’t remember the name of, but I had a sesame lotus nut paste ball and it was everything I’d hoped it would be. It was right on Main street, and deliiiiciousss

I am not a fan of BBQ meat on a stick from a street food cart but when there are 15+ children, women, and men waiting patiently for the BBQ meat-on-a-stick to cook at the corner of Stanford and Main St. and it is only for a $ 1, OHMY! I will break my taboo once.(I hate following the herd but it’s for Unilocal.) I tried it and it tasted pretty good; I am still not sure what kind of meat I ate(see Matteo’s review for possible animal type!) but it was tasty and not too heavy on the marinate. Since I can not compare it to any other BBQ food cart; yes it is good but the smoke; cough, cough! Tip: And don’t try to talk to anyone they’ll think you are trying to cut the line. People do look like they are cutting the line when the cook started to serve.

One of the many street carts in Flushing that sell excellent kebabs for $ 1 apiece. So why 5 stars for this one, and just 4 for the qually excellent Xinjiang BBQ Cart[1]? Simple: this is the only cart I found in Flushing that sells duck kebabs and fish kebabs. Squid kebabs, to be precise. Tucked on Sanford Ave. a little away from busy Main St. and Kissena Blvd, this cart may be easily overlooked by the non-trained(i.e. white) eye, since the name and the menu are written only in Chinese. That’s what stimulated my curiosity in the first place: this place must be good. I was particularly curious about the squid kebab[2]. I LOVE squid! I always liked its chewy consistency and the sweet taste. When I was a kid, every Friday my father would bring home some wonderful squids from the fish market, and grill them whole on what looked like a panini press. The squid would then be cut into smaller pieces, and eaten with olive oil, a dash of lemon, freshly chopped parsley and garlic, and a pinch of salt. It was simple and wonderful. This squid kebab brought back all those memories and more[3]! A few things are more satisfying than fresh, tasty food prepared in the simplest possible way. While I happily chew on this delicious squid, I wonder how come that the only cart in Flushing that sells squid is from Mongolia. Do they have squid in Mongolia??? — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – [1] [2] I also tried the lamb kebab: deliciously fatty and juicy!
