The ladies were great. Really worked on my pedicure. Wasn’t aware to bring cash for a tip. I wasn’t able to place a tip on my credit card. Only drawback. But loved the mani and pedi. Definitely be a repeat customer.

By some miracle I was able to get a same day appointment on Mother’s Day! This place was great! The salon itself was clean and beautiful. Teresa did an excellent job with my gel nails and my mom loved her pedicure and gel manicure! I will definitely be back again!

My first time here was today and I was very impressed. The place is beautiful! Kathy and Theresa did my mani and pedi and they are both awesome and so sweet. Not to mention Rosie used to do my moms nails when she worked in Orangevale and she’s amazing too. Highly recommend this place

Love this salon! Cannot beat the customer service and so caring in making sure they give great service! I owned a salon for 8 years so I do understand making sure to have great employees and to make sure when a Client walks thru that door that that are acknowlegged and Rosie does that. Rosie does nails and Susan does my pedicures… they are the Best! You will not be disappointed! Very clean Salon… The Best!

Amazing salon with fabulous people who genuinely care about their clients. Gateway Nails & Spa is relaxing — it feels good to have someone do your nails for you and I can always count on Rosie to do a great job with my nails. First, your nails will be trimmed buffed and shaped, followed by a cuticle treatment, lotion application and polish. Rosie is professional but great fun and I really enjoy my appointments. I 100% recommend Rosie!

For acrylic Gel nails it was $ 40 for 1 $ 80 for 2 people who wanted the same thing. And if you want a design it’s an extra $ 5 but if you go to Rosie it’s worth it! She did it fast and efficient definitely going here again! She was sweet and talked to us we are a little bit shy and she understood that so she didn’t like most salons do. If you tell her want you want she will do it the exact way! She’s amazingly talented!

I went to Gateway Nails & Spa to get a mani/​pedi for my daughter’s wedding. The salon was clean and the staff was friendly and pleasant. I was very pleased with the quality of the work done. My gel manicure turned out great and lasted for about 3 weeks! They will definitely try to up sell you so be prepared. I didn’t like how they only accept cash for the tip. I was unfamiliar with this policy and tend to carry very little cash. I was scrambling to scrounge together enough cash to pay the tip to the two girls that provided the mani and pedi for me. This made my experience a little awkward but I will probably give them another shot.

The service here is fantastic! Everybody is so friendly and helpful, and the work is beautiful! Rosie did my nails and i am so in love with them!!! I also got a pedicure that was wonderful and left my legs and feet feeling soft and pampered. I did end up paying a bit more that average because of the detailing I got on my nails and the added cost of gel instead of normal polish that I got on both my nails and toes, but that’s just because I chose to spoil myself for the day! And on an average visit the costs are pretty average for this area, but this is by far the best nail/​spa location from here till placerville that I’ve been to. Very highly recommended!

Really nice and great service. Only complaint is that they’re pricey. But on the flip solider it is a really awesome pedicure! Highly recommend the Royal one =]

1. No shoulder or body massage while mask is drying.
2. No skin cleaning or black head removal. She told me to go to doctor. Is she even a Esthetician? Should be reported to authorities for qualification certificate check.
3.Kept me waiting 20mins for my appointment because her person before me decided to take extra treatments which made my appointment late. Don’t take appointments you can’t keep.
4. Doesn’t know how to massage face. Same repeat face movements over and over again.
5. Sloppy way of using wet dripping towel to clean the face.
6. No way to get clarification on services at shop. Cold unfriendly daughter of owner at reception thinks of herself as being too good to be there to talk to customer.
Will not be returning there. Go for 1 hr appointment and end up wasting two hours here. There are too many better alternatives.

Nice salon. Clean and tastefully decorated. The service was very friendly and they do lovely work.

Had my first massage ever by Kelly. Came in with a stiff neck and felt much better after I left. Kelly hit all the areas that needed attention. Having a bad shoulder made realize how much I really needed massage as part of my life. I felt very comfortable the whole time and very relaxed. Loved the hot wax on my hands.
Will surely come back for more!

Moved to the area recently from the Bay Area and was looking for a place for pedicures and to have my nails done once in a while. I met Rosie the owner. She is the sweetest woman ever! The staff is always accommodating and everyone is very nice and greets you when you walk in the door. Rosie does a great job on my nails and Susan gives the best pedicures and foot and calf massages. During a visit from relatives, they were able to do all four of us at the same time next to each other and everyone was very satisfied. The place is clean and decorated very nice. I have posted Facebook pictures of the place and comments were that it was very classy. The girls all dress very professional and I am happy and relaxed every time I leave. I highly recommend!

Gateway Nails & Spa is not your typical fast stop nail, face etc spa! The girls know their stuff! And it’s REALLY clean here. Including the utensils and wash bowls! The best massage chairs anywhere! Professional and delightful people! This is where my wife & I go often! I said I would «Never» go to a place like this. I was wrong! There are always exceptions to everything and Gateway is a wonderful place to relax and get your pretty on! Dr Kim

This place was recommended by our hotel when we were in town on vacation. Great spot! I loved that they had varying levels of pedicures from basic to deluxe. Very clean. Of course the spa foot tub and massage chair are awesome. My mom got a French manicure and they did a really nice job. I chose the mid-​level pedi which was $ 35 and well worth it. Don’t forget to tip!

OMG… 2 thumbs up. I’m a macho kinda guy. Didn’t think much about doing pedicures or manicure. Hell, I work construction. My friend suggested we go in and check it out. I did! We went in for the pedicure. Let me tell you this place is beautiful. Clean and inviting, I wasn’t uncomfortable at all. The girls all seem to be nice and having fun at what they do. I lucked out and got Kelly. Very nice n beautiful smile. I took my boots off rolled up my pants n she soaked my feet. Then she went to work. Got sum pumice on my soles n calises. Trimmed up the nails, even dug a bit of an ingrown nail on my big toe. Parifin, hot stones n great massage. I cannot wait to come back. It was an awesome experience. And Kelly is who I’ll be coming back for. Thank you…

I work at petsmart across the parking lot and just stopped in one day by chance. I have been to many places but this is my favorite and the only place I go now. The owner is fantastic, always remembers me and how I like my nails done and makes great suggestions. I have also had Tiffany do my nails, and liked her work too! I haven’t had a bad experience and I have been using them for a long time.. I recommend to friends and co-​workers all the time

This is a great nail salon. Talk about luxury for the girlfriend. This is my first time here and it was awesome. From a guys point of view it’s cool all the colors of nail polish they have. They treated my gf like the princess she is and she absolutely loved it. The staff was super professional and made it feel like home. I’d definitely come here just for the customer service! The chairs were comfy too because I didn’t get my nails done lol.

Was referred from a friend saw the job that was done on her hand was very impressed. However, the results that I walked out with was very disappointed, it looked like a 10 yr old did my nails. Tammy did my nails, I picked red with glitters gel nail polish for Christmas but the polish seemed old and clumpy but she still applied it. She had polish all over my cuticles, nails uneven terrible terrible job, had her remove and re-​do with another color. Still not satisfied with the work. Went in the next day after making an appt that morning with the owner Rosie. She looked at my nails and asked what can I do? Surprised by her asking, it’s was very obvious what she can do… which was fix it and clean it up and make it look like a professional worked on my nails. After she fixed, thinned out the nails and re-​polished it, it did look some what better than Tammy’s work but still not 100% satisfied. I will never go back or ever refer anyone to this nail salon. 3 times failed!
12/​23/​2014: it’s only been 6 days and i have 2 broken nails. I am beyond pissed!

I recently relocated to Folsom from SoCal and was very fortunate to find Gateway Nails and Spa by chance!
I just finished shopping at Bed Bath and Beyond and saw the shop and decided to try them.
The salon is gorgeous, staff very friendly and do awesome work. I had the best pedicure/​manicure ever. Talk about foot massage… unbelievably awesome.
Linda did my pedicure and she rocks.
It may be a bit pricey in my opinion, but I will always go back now, I’m hooked on their quality, service, and beautiful salon.
